Popeye,I thought you said you wanted a dual sport bike. That is a sport bike and it's a 200 not a 250. I wouldn't buy it if you are looking for a dual. good luck.

That's as bad as the one that when I lived in pittsburgh pa.area a guy walked into a bank and handed the teller a note that demanded money. The note was written on a blank check that had his name and address on it. BUSTED!!

If i had to guess, you will probably have more fun on it than any other bike. Still got great memories of my 76 suzuki 185,and my 79 honda 500XL. I'm thinkin of a honda 650XR with a baha kit on it to make it street legal. About a 400.00$ kit.

I would talk to someone to see if you can save some money by staying at your place, and if not..then make a decision. I do think that some times you have to treat yourself, because you're worth it,and lifes too short not to enjoy. For some that might mean gettin in the car and goin to the local dairy queen, and for others, spending 1500.00$ a night somewhere. That being said, you've only got to please yourself and your wife, not others. What ever you decide, don't feel guilty about your decision. PS:400.00$ would buy some nice chrome.!!!

How do I know if I have a bad rear shock?
captnmidnight replied to a topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
As I recall the max pressure on the rear shock is 56 lbs. If you are using a hand pump for the rear shock you probably aren't getting enough pressure in the shock. If you max out the pressure and the seal is bad in the shock you may be able to hear it leaking out. Try and read the pressure again shortly after you ride for awhile and see if the pessure is consistent with what you put in the first time. If it"s not you know your loosing pressure. I run mine at about 46 lbs, and the front forks at zero. I weigh 215 and the wife weighs about 125. Most of my riding is two up and I don"t ride to aggressively. Stay tuned you'll probably get some better answers from others shortly. -
Congradulations jeff !! I"ve allways wanted to try that if I can find the time. What all do you have to do to make it a certified ride? One of these days I"ll make the time.
-
The fact is that we all have a tendency to become complaisent in our every day rides. I would like to take a rider safety course after 30 yrs. of riding because I"m certain that It would make me more aware of things I overlooked or didn"t know to begin with. Let"s not forget that your first accident on a cycle could easily be your last, and that you are never guaranteed your next mile. Plz. be ware and drive safe everyone.
