New to the forum and bike. Lot's of questions.
Bubber replied to similost's topic in General Tech Talk
First off a big WELCOME to VentureRiders.org. You may want to start with knowledge base under the maim menu on the left side of the screen called VPTECH I made so many modes just like everyone else that it is hard to say what to do first. So make a list and rate them what is most important to you and then GO FOR IT! You will like it here, great people, great friends, and they would do anything to help a guy or gal out,.......just ask and see. Bubber -
I am sure that I speak for many here. ALL we want is for you to concentrate on your health and getting better. All the other stuff can wait. We need you as much as you need us. So that being said get going and get well! We promise to be good, well as good as we can and the others will reign us in as needed. Know that are thoughts and prayers are with you every step of the way and so is the man upstairs. Safe trip! God bless and get well soon. Steve Stelter and the all the VentureRiders

Just to add to your knowledge of adding the carbon fiber. When I was in the body shop business and we were putting the wood grain decal on the station wagons, we used soapy water (dish washing soap is fine) and laid the decal down and used a rubber squeegee to remove the water from under the decal. It eliminates the bubbles and then if there still are some, prick them with a sharp needle to remove the air and squeegee over them again. Try to move in one direction because at least with the decal they tend to stretch a little. I hope this helps on the next piece you do. BTW Great job on the side cover it looks pretty cool!!!! I wonder what different base colors would do. (gold, red, black, copper) Steve aka Bubber

Well I am waitin for another big box of stuff to install from a friend of mine in AL. LOL:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: Then I will have to call it quites for a while. I done spent enough money on my toy for this year AND next. Only things is, I may have to put some accent lights on since I bought a bunch of them over the winter. Electrical work! Oh NO! I wonder where I could find myself a nice 3 switch panel? Bubber

Well I finally got to see what I thought was the sun today and got out all those parts I been gathering up all winter and decided to put some of them on. Lets see I put on the used Wagner grill (with special instructions from Steve W, Sarge 46 and Eck) Saddle bag guards Reinforcements for the FRT crash guard that connected to the bottom of the floor board (found a posting someplace and made the brackets and putt'em on today. Rick butler seat that came back a week or two ago Fired up the o'l girl and let'r run awhile. Dang that sounded sweet. Installed the gremlin bell Sarge46 gave me at the last P.I.P. No pictures and yes I broke the rules but I am tired and this being laid off is tough work. I better find a job so I can rest up. Geten'r done in Minnesota Steve aka Bubber

Midnight Rider & Family, We have never met and I am the last to ofer advice here. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and suffering that you and your wife and family have gone through and are prepared to go through to follow this to conclusion. I don't believe any else knows your pain either to the extent that you do. Just let me say that what ever you decide. I believe that it will be a selfless act to protect your daughter and spare her from this nightmare which you have been living with. The perp, will get his either in prison (cons hate molesters) or when he meets his maker. Do what you have to do, do what is right for you and your daughter and family. Only you will have to live with the results, not us. May god bless you and guide you in your decisions and I hope that you will find some peace at the conclusion of this ordeal. Know that we are praying for H and your family and that will be here for you and yours. God Bless you and show you the way. Steve Stelter aka Bubber

In Minnesota they have circle track racing with dirt bikes with studs out on the lakes. What do you expect us to do in the winter? I have also seen mini style cars (Mini Cooper and the like)doing the same thing out on the lakes with studded tires. There must be some organized group that puts these on. Very fun to wach!:banana: Bubber

Yes I know it sounds like one of the kids, I need, I want, but I am looking for the black plastic tank ignition cover on a Venture. The one that surrounds (at least part way)the gas cap and the ignition switch. I was wondering if anyone out there has one they will part with at a reasonable price. Black is good, scratched up is all right too. Just not broken. Shoot me an email with price and shipping to 55056. Thanks a bunch. Anybody got one? Thanks for the help. BUBBER aka Steve

And these dumb F's think this is cool! That is why I hate these so called sport bikes. The sport is trying to see if you don't kill yourself during the ride. Yes I know it isn't all of them. This is how the public learns to hate people on bikes, when they see that sort of crap. The soapbox is now closed. Bubber

Well we got an inch or so and it is melting AGAIN! When will it ever end ?????? Puttsing with the scoot with a few mods so I can wait till Tuesday when it is supposed to be 50 or so. Bubber
