Hey Bubber..................................
Bubber replied to Aussie Annie's topic in Watering Hole
Hello Annie nice to hear from you. The job has been pretty good except for one person there that shall we just say is a #^$$@ or something like that. Job has been fun and have pretty much everyone I work with liking the job I am doing. Only thing is the company announce that they were moving to a town 60 miles away and that is a problem for me becauce I don't want anymore wind shield time than I already have. So now I am undecided what to do. Look for another job and move and I don't want to move. I guess I have time yet so I will just play it by ear for awhile. Hope all is well with you and quickstep, How is the leg coming. Steve aka Bubber- 8 replies

Bubber replied to blongacre's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
IT's the tire! How can I say this delicately, THEY ARE A PIECE OF CR@P!:ignore: I was never so happy to get rid of the rear tire. The howl was deafening.:yikes: Steve -
I can share what I know from building my teardrop and what I did and what I wouldn't do again. :yikes: Construction techniques and stuff like that if your interested. I still have the construction pics of the trailer and prior to the aluminum skin. Godd luck on the project! Steve aka Bubber

I got red because blue is illegle in MN (so they tell me) and yes I got their bracket too. I figured for the money I couldn't make one that cheap and as nice. Bubber

Well there is a blue and black wire(ground), touch the two together and the pattern changes. I went through all the patterns and there is a spot that you can actually turn it off so go do it again. The instructions are on the side of the box so don't throw it away. AND YES Black Owl is the blame for pretty much everything! Happy now Mr. Owl? LMFAO. Did I win the drawing yet?....... still holding my breath. :yikes: Bubber

You will be happy with it. Set the pattern to what you like, mine scrolls back and forth and is a real eye catcher. :yikes: I beleive there is a vidio of the light on thr web site for those interested. I will be real happy with mine that is for sure. Bubber

Otay here is the picture of the strobe LED mounted in back under the long LED brake light. It was flashing when I took the shot but not sure if is on or off. I haven't looked at it yet. Bubber

Sure I have one of those LED lights that go under the bottom edge of the truck. I think it is 12 or 13 LEDs. I put a piece of Aluminum angle in back of it and one side of the angle is down. I mounted it in the center and hooked it in to the brake light. The local LEO said as long as it was hooked into the brake light I was legal. It really throws a pattern of light you would literally have to be blind not to see it. Hope that helps I could send a picture when I get home tonight if you like. Bubber

I just got done wiring one in over the weekend. LEDs with 27 patterns to the flashing. NOW they can see me!:yikes:

Well I have been fooling with this for a while but I just got the mount back from powder coat. Thanks Gary! Assembled it all together, pre-wired the bike so I should be good to go on Saturday and mount and see if the little bugger works or not. Mount made by Renne it was a great job and a hell of a design as far as I am concerned. Paint by Gary and fooling around by me. I think it is exactly what I wanted to so fooling around is just part of the deal for me! YA I KNOW!!!! Where the heck are the pictures? RIGHT HERE!!!!!!!! Befor paint and after powder coat

I always use the KISS principle "keep it simple stupid" ( sometimes I am extra stupid thats why the second "S") I have found especially on trailers it is always the ground. SO that is why I use the KISS. Most of my trailers are grounded through the ball and that makes a losy ground in my oppinion. Next if no lights at all CHECK FUSES. second use of the KISS method. after that I am lost. LOL :Avatars_Gee_George: Bubber

Removing differential ring gear
Bubber replied to dingy's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
You may find that they heated the ring and cooled the shaft and that my friend is a shrink fit. Pressing it off is probably the only way to get it off but then there is the problem of getting it back on. Hope you find the solution. Bubber -
I never been in the service due to medical condition but my brother was. He passed away back in the 80's. I still carry his dog tags with me on my key chain to remind me of him. He was way to young. I still miss him. Sorry to get off track but it made me remember him. His tags sure have gooten a work out over the years. they sure were made to last. even clanging in to a bunch of other keys all these years. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Bubber
