Heck it was 24 F here this morning, down right nippoly. I almost had to put on a jacket. But us Northerners are kind of used to a slight chill in the air. After all it is Fall ain't it. LMAO

Pictures always help clarify what you want...just saying. I am sure someone can help if they know exactly what it is that you want.

Since I took the car to her cousins I didn't have a way to haul it back so her cousin is dropping it off on his way to go deer hunting in Wisconsin on Nov 17th. Here is what I know (and not for sure) 2 cyl 2 cycle 180 cc what I remember the pipes are high and there was a skid plate. I tried to look it up on the internet and they had way to many designations back then. I think it is a YR1 (maybe) YL1 ???? It was confusing and they all looked pretty much alike. It for sure is a 180cc. chrome fenders frt and back long tank with a rubber pad on the side with Yamaha name plate. tail light was high key was in the headlight bucket side handle bars had a bar across the bars from one side to the other. everyting else is a blurr. Well kind of. It is new to me and not so new to the previous owner. It is a 1967 Yamaha 180 cc. I was at my wife's cousin and he had to go out in the country to pick-up a tractor, so I went along. Well we were standing there shooting the breeze and I noticed a MC in the garage. So I asked about it and the guy says they were going to move it to the shed and kind of forget about it. So I am in there looking at it and it rolled back and forth so I wheeled it out into the sun light which it hasn't seen in years. It had been dropped while they were riding it in the yard and bent the handle bars and busted a light other than that it was all there except a side cover and the chain which they located a little latter. Well after all the dickering and hemming and hawing I ended up buying the bike. I think I may have been taken though the guy I was negotiating with, well it wasn't his first rodeo that is for sure. He was in his 80's and had been around. Well I opened my wallet and negotiated that last little bit I could befor I paid him. I hope I didn't over pay to much. Is $22.00 to much?? :crying: CASH TOO! My brother-in-law thinks I overpaid and got snookered and he is always right, just ask him. Dang I hate that when that happens. Oh well something to fool with this winter.

Will someone please do the grease zerk thing to their second gen Venture swing arm and post with step by step pictures and instructions on the "HOW TO DO IT"? I too would like to do the swing arm grease zerks this coming winter in comfort of my heated garage. But I learn better from others. Well I'm waiting! LOL Really I would like to see this well documented with pictures. Maybe Squidly (or shall I say Cup Cake) would like to visit the great frozzen North again to lounge around in the snow. (I said snow )

So did your tree go down last night? The wind here was at least 50MPH gusts. Don't park near that tree for a few days because it isn't letting up for a while.

When in doubt always state that it is a sfety hazard and them ask them who owns the car that the limb hit so you can inform him that you have asked the city to remove it for over a year. That usually get their attention. Either that or call 911 and go lay in the street under the limb. LOL Good luck ther Flyinfool :dancefool:

I some or most states a motorcycle may not have more than two headlights (Minnesota for sure) so the name driving or passing lights allows the three lights up front without a problem. Passing and driving lights are one in the same to me. Silly Wild A$$ Question: Why would you have the lights called passing lights? Do you put them on only when passing? DUH I think it is all political speak to get around less than smart laws. But heck what do I know?

Couldn't get it to stay lite, even after threatening it. I finally gave up and got what I really wanted. I tried torpedo heaters, fish house heaters, just had enough and did what the heck I realy wanted. I think I spent more money and time fooling around with the previous ones Vs the hanging heater. The real truth I found out why it wouldn't stay lite was, when I disconnected it and blew the copper line out some #rick had stuffed a rolled up piece of paper in the tube preventing the flow of the gas. They only run on 1/2 pound after the regulator and 2 lbs before for NG. Bubber

I tried the ventless and couldn't get it to work right. Said #$^%*@ it and bought a Bull Dog hanging garage heater. Only way to go. Look in Craig's List that is where I got mine. ~ $350.00 if I remember right. It was like new and came with (power) vent at least most of it. Steve aka Bubber
