OK Folks I haven't been ignoring you, I just have a few things going on in my life that have tied me up. OK I am back and I will be giving my devoted attention to the Pork in the Pines all this week. Gary is busy cleaning out his garage so that will be ready, taking inventory, ordering the port-o-potties and getting eggs and sweet corn. I have a grocery supply list and I will be getting the non-perishable items ASAP and the perishable ones when I leave for PIP on Friday. I hope you all will come that can and have a great time with us once again as we celebrate the camaraderie of the Venturer'ers There hasn't been a lot of chatter or poking fun but trust me it's coming, it will just wait till we all gather at Gary's. Hope to see as many as possible so until then, "Ride safe and bring a happy smile to the PIP" Bubber

Believe it or not there is what is called a pulse pump on the bottom of the throttle body that gets vacuum from the engine that runs the pump. Way over engineered and just stupid on a small engine like this. Fighting this for a few days and am about to give up.

I have a Rigid Power washer that I got from Gary K. it stopped running a while back and it just wont start. here are the particulars Subaru/Robins EX21EFI engine on a Rigid power washer. Gary told me that the thing just stopped on him and he could never get it started. Here is what I have done so far: changed new oil to the correct amount (there is a low oil shut off switch in the crank case) added new gas followed the starting instruction (4-6 PULLS WITH SWITCH OFF THEN SWITCH ON AND PULL) put gas in air box/ spark plug hole, it ran for a few firings pulled the vacuum line off that goes to the full pump and blew it out and cleaned it made sure the hose clams were tight on hose drained the full tank drained fuel lines Here is what I still intend to do: reassemble all part take fuel pump off the bottom of the throttle body and check the diaphragm for pin holes or what ever. fill with new premium gas to tank Evidently this is a known crappy design by Subaru and they have discontinued the EFI and only offer a carb model. They don't offer a carb retro fit for the EFI that I can see. ANY THOUGHTS OUT THERE OH SULTANS OF SMARTS? Bubber aka Steve

Well folks it is that time to make your plans for Pork in the Pines I can tell you that I have ordered the guest of honor already and as usual we are planning to have a great weekend at Gary's in LaPorte MN. So here is what I can tell you, leave all your problems and cares at home that weekend (Sept 1-4) bring a great attitude for life, bring your significant other if you have one. Come enjoy life and the commoroderrie of your fellow motorcyclist enthusiast. Come enjoy a few laughs, have an adult beverage if you so desire. We welcome anyone to our little get together at the Pork in the Pines. held in LaPorte MN, Sept 1st thru 4th, with early arrival on the 1st. Be prepared to have a great time. Come one come all. Camping on site. Food, laughs, and great companionship for 4 days. Oh ya and there is me, LOL. We would also like to have a tribute to our fallen brother Black Owl, to honor his service to both Canada and the United States. His contributions to participating and being the head chef for many years. Any one that has some words of tribute for Black Owl can send them to me and I will compile them for the Pork in the Pines. We have a great crew organizing and working this event just like the ones in the past. Bubber

I will miss you my brother. So sorry I was about 20 minutes to late to say my good byes. Even though I chatted with you will waiting for you daughters to return from diner I kind of knew you could hear me and you knew I was there. So glad to have had the time to laugh with you, tell jokes, just plain enjoying each other's company and just enjoy our lives together. I'll miss the smile, the food, the generosity, your willingness to help anyone that needed it, whether they asked for it or not. I'll miss the long BS sessions we had in the car coming and going to the PIP the last few years. It will be a lonely ride this year. But I hope ride along with me in spirit. I miss your willingness to do more than was expected and with a positive attitude. I'll miss having a shot or two even though nether one of us probably should have. We can blame Tequila Pete for that, ya that'l work for me. I'll miss your leadership by example. Your loyalty to other fellow VenturRiders. Your loyalty to those darn hippy Canadians that get flat tires in the middle of North Dakota in the middle of a tornado. Your loyalty to your country's of Canada and The United States. The countrys you fought for and defended. I'll miss your humility to not take any of the credit for a job well done. I salute you my friend for your service in Vietnam, a service that most likely contributed to your leaving us much to soon. We lost a good friend and brother this week and like most times in our lives we were to late telling them just how much we loved and respected them. Let me do that now for all of us. Sorry I was was just a few minutes late, but I have a suspicion that you were hanging on tight so you didn't leave in front of you daughters. They sure will miss you and so will your fellow riders. I hope your at peace and you no longer have to fight the terrible diseases you suffered from for so long. Rest in peace my friend rest in Peace Just one of you many friends. Bubber

It is always good to have the government run a private business. They are always cost conscious. If you believe that I have swamp land in Florida I would like to sell.

I am on the same wavelength as you Bob. It is one group or another singling themselves out that they are being oppressed or something. Let me put it bluntly SUCK IT UP everyone and everybody has gone through something where they were discriminated against for some reason. Gender, age, color, religion just to name a few. I have always attributed it to that life. STUFF HAPPENS. Yes I know some of the stuff you see on the news is way out there and should have never happened. There are wackos every where. Can I have my own day too.

Well no snow, not even in the yard. So life is good. Weather is supposed to be 50's for a couple of days. So let me make this perfectly clear "I don't want your stinking snow, keep it." Wow I feel much better now. If you like snow.. enjoy..... other than that I am done for the year and hoping for sun , warm weather and bikes. Ca-peesh Bubber

Well last night they said we were going to get a real good snow storm like ones we used to get years ago. Well it shifted south about 90 miles and headed to Chicago. You folks in Chicago probably needed a little snow to keep everyone home at night. Glad we could share the snow and I am sure it is headed out to the east coast right after it dumps on Chicago. I don't have any snow on the ground to speak of and from I hear you don't have to shovel rain. Keep your heads down and enjoy the winter weather as it blows by you at 25MPH or more. Seriously take care and stay in side it dumped a lot of snow and it is just getting started. ENJOY Bubber

I too have been running Ponch's gauges on my bike for many years and enjoy the heck out of them. The guy was not only helpful but down right went out of his way to make sure you were happy with his product. I wish you all the greatest blessings possible my friend and hope that some day we meet again, till then you will be in our hearts and thoughts. Thankful for having met Ponch in Cody Bubber
