FYI Back to the Fifties which is or was the Street Rod Nationals is at the Minnesota State Fair grounds this weekend. Ya I know short notice. Last time I went they had 10,000 plus street rods. No way to see them all but fun trying. Let see some pictures of your project with the Venture engine. We are all dying to see. :dancefool:

Stop at one of the chain stores and get a pre-paid cell some give you the phone and all you do is pay for the minutes, just get 60 minutes and buy more as needed. That is what I do and I only use the phone for making call, If it don't work in Canada toss it, no big deal.

Thats OK Eck this thread has been going nowhere fast and picking up speed. What I gather is Polks are no better than the originals. And someof people have had good luck with the Polks and like them. Pioneers are a little better but no great improvement Kenwoods are better yet than Pioneers. Harley speaker on ebay are 5 1/2 inch so no go there. Other speakers on ebay are a shot in the dark at best. 4 inch speakers not going to give the concert sound we all want. So does that about sum it up? And, oh ya, BradT has two polks in the rear, according to him. :rotf:

So the question on my mind is, how does the Harley sound so much better than most bikes. I have been hearing Harley's put out some really good sound. YES? NO? There must be a good speaker to install to at least make it tolerable. Right now it is just noise coming out that periodically you can make out a word or two.... thats it! Ya I have a head set but that isn't what I was looking for either. Any other help out there? What about you Texas boys you'all have opinions on most stuff, jump in here.

I just went to Menards and bought 6 rope rings with bracket (99cents) (that were suggested) to place 3 on each side of a 4X8 trailer that I am enlarging to 4X9 1/2 to accomodate my bike. I hope that helps. because those guys over on my posts are no dang help at all.

I have been looking at old posts about speakers and back a few years ago everyone was going to the Polk DB401 speakers. Now that time has passed how are the speakers holding up and would you still recommend the same speakers? I have been thinking of putting some speakers in that I can actually hear.
