Is Flying Fool resting his tush after all those miles...... he stated long distance riding wasn't his thing and that it would be a challenge to get to Don's. He may have a case of Monkey Butt. :rotf: Hope all is good and he gets a chance to enjoy the great folks that inhabit the VentureRide forum. Bubber

Harbor Freight tag along trailer question
Bubber replied to midnightrider1300's topic in Trailer Talk
Wes, aren't you supposed to partying, working, performing maintenance or are you the dedicated supervisor this year? Do I have to rent the Hubble Telescope again this year to look in on you guys to make sure your not there just holding down the chairs and sucking up suds? :rotf: Jeeeze! You let them out of your sight for just a few moments and they wander off and do all kinds af foolish things and they don't even let you participate. Isn't Don keeping an eye on you (no pun intended)? I guess I better get the Oberlin police number handy just in case. -
Write a 2nd letter and tell them you already cancelled it by phone and in writing and that the next letter they receive will be from your lawyer and or the Attorney General of your state.

When I open the pictures it appears on a WANTED poster with a number on the bottom. :rotf: But no reward is offered. How can that be with such a handsome bunch of guys and gals?

Harbor Freight tag along trailer question
Bubber replied to midnightrider1300's topic in Trailer Talk
I believe they come with 8" wheels (4 bolt) and there are 12" 4 bolt wheels available. Some here use 8" wheels and have had no problems. 8" will work just fine! The bigger the wheel the easier it rolls. -
TAKE YOUR TIME! Ride safe. I guess I would avoid standing water at all cost. Your on the free-way most of the way and that shouldn't be a problem, Good Luck and be safe.

if you are so inclined..........

Not to worry! A little vent between friends is what we do. Sorry to hear of your pains and sorrows and we wish you and your mom the best. -

Anybody else got any ideas??? On graphics!

Say Jack , just how many trailers do you need anyway. You brought to Cody, you won the trailer at Cody, you had one stolen and now your on the hunt for another. Me thinks you have an obsession with ............. things with two wheels. LOL :rotf::buttkick:

I purchased a damaged spare front fairing during the winter and now it is out to paint. I want to add some graphics and be able to switch the two fairings off and on when I feel the need. So anybody go any good sources for good graphics? I was thinking a flame outline with real flame inserted in the outline. I have tried some of the online places but just can't find what I want. You guys got any ideas?

For what it is worth, when you bend the Aluminum you are going to work harden it, at least with most shapes and chemistries. Bent the piece in your vise and sandwich it between two pieces of wood. Radius the edge of the wood so that there is no sharp edge transferred to the Aluminum. I haven't tried this but place a bolt cross wise at the bend location so that the strap rolls over the radius of the bolt when bending. So the sandwich should be wood in back then strap then bolt then wood. You should get a nice radius and and that will transfer stresses better than a sharp 90 degree bend. That's my 2 cents worth. Good luck

Last reply on this subject. Don't! It was a total waste of time. I finally took it to a platter who stripped it but by that time it it was a mess. It also left a lot of the copper on the part. Live and learn! On a good note I did find a chrome platter that specializes in old car parts and motorcycles. I will have to check him out with some parts sometime.

Congrates to you and the daughter!
