Bob, you already know "Why Not"!

    Why?

I am pretty sure you meant to say delusions. And lots of them!
  3. Bubber

    Why?

Why are you asking WHY? What do you want and why? Dang There it goes again.
  4. There are plenty of people here that can guide you through the process of checking and maintaining your bike. So let them help you to make a list of items and possibly an accompanying post for you to read I will give it some thought and post more a little later. This may also be a good thing to put in a history file if it is not already there. Bubber
  5. Mail them to Boomer CPO collect and sign Squidley's name! :rotf: Just a thought.
  6. Here are some pictures of the pod I made. The pod screws to the ignition cover with three screws from the back. back of pod was open, I never got around to creating an enclosure for the back. Bubber PS SOLD THIS TO: Billmac
  7. I made a 2 gauge cover like the one you described but it is not the original one that was made 10 years ago. I must have pictures of it somewhere. I have since put a two gauge setup in the dash. The dash is probably in my stash in the garage. I used the gauges that were in it for the dash mount. If interested I will look for the pictures. Bubber
  8. God bless you and your wife and God's speed on your journey. From a friend you have never met. Steve aka Bubber

    Why?

I don't think it is about the methodology but more about implementation. When money influences the response to the answer then the answer becomes skewed and the results are skewed or bogus, in the case of Toyota evidently they just plain lied to achieve the result they wanted instead of the result given when the questions would have been or were answered honestly. So 1.2 billion is a lot of WHYs. So if a company would lie about a dollar fix per car what else would they lie about and WHY! Oh the humanity of it all. So that my friends is only a partial reason WHY. Bubber

    Why?

Because asking why to the answers given will get you to the root cause on the 5th answer to why. At least for the reason why the problem occurred. It is a standard methodology in any good quality system. The first four answers only lead you to the root cause. A lot of quality systems are based on the Toyota based quality system (or ISO 9000). Looks like they didn't follow their own systems. Only 1.2 Billion in fines, How many cars do you think they will have to sell to make that back? How many heads will roll because of that BS move? I'll bet not one in management at any significant level.:whistling: Now back to why for you short attention span members.

    Why?

I bet Toyota didn't ask WHY five times and or didn't listen to the answer. Only a 1.2 billion dollar error in judgment. And yes I do know why you ask why 5 times. Bubber

    Why?

I know ! I know ! I know ! Call on me! It is cold, snowy. rainy and just plain miserable out side and we don't have anything better to occupy our time. Did I get it right? Did I? Did I? I am going to my corner now as if anyone really cares.

    Why?

I got nothing! And I don't know WHY!.... or how for that matter either.
  17. Make sure you reserve Labor day weekend for the Pork in the Pine in La Porte, Minnesota. You would be the furthest person ever to show up other than BongoBob that is. Would be great to meet you! Bubber aka Steve
  18. Ya can't really fix stupid can ya? With that kind of thinking anyone that has been trained to properly use a firearm is a risk to the public. Better to have the guns in the hands of gang bangers and criminals that shoot indiscriminately during drive by's. How do these stupid people get in office?
  19. I would be interested in one. Bubber
  20. Wife has got cousin coming for this weekend, sorry can't make it. I'll still get a chance at using the valve tool some day. :rotf: Have a great time at the maintenance day and hoist one for me. Bubber
  21. Didn't see it in the add section Must be gone. Now I will have to steal one when I meet up with the Wisconsin boys aka Flyinfool. :rotf:
  22. With people running stop signs and crashing into cross traffic... this is how they choose to spend their valuable resources? Ya I know you didn't stop and count to ten, but don't you think this is more about the money than it is the violation? Besides how do they know you were the driver and not someone driving your car? How many just pay instead of questioning the evidence? If your wrong your wrong I get it. And you will know that and hopefully make changes to your driving. But something to consider, this would be considered a moving violation in most states and therefore you will get demerit points or what ever they call them in your state. Your Insurance company will be glad to charge you 20% MORE for you act on consciousness. Your innocent until proven guilty in these here United States at least for now anyway. If the intention was to correct driving habits then I would be all for it, but it just always seems to be about the money. Bubber Let the flack begin. :moon:
  23. According to the Wisconsin Troopers your speedometer are supposed to be no more than 5% off. Good luck with that, right?:rotf: Bubber
  24. I know it may sound neat to have a single carb but we really need to ask is what is the benefits of the switch, risk Vs reward scenario. Unless we can use a FI unit, I doubt if it has a great benefit. My worth. Bubber
  25. I am glad to see that I am not the only one that buys their dog a ice cream cone and sits there and feeds it to the dog for the enjoyment of the kids at the DQ. Our dog does eat it a little slower though. Still funny. Daisy was going to make sure she got her fair share. :rotf: Bubber
