  1. I am of the opinion YES! I use mine all the time to make sure that I keep the revs above 3000RPM. So do what floats your boat but I say Yes.
  2. Sorry to hear about your falling. Take care and rest up. As far as bouncing, I bounce real good but then again I am pretty fuffy too. Bubber
  3. How big is that sucker? :rotf:

    Really!

Hey Joe, Been there, done that, bought the Tee shirt. Easily done, just a lapse in memory. Nothing like #8 :rotf: Bubber
  5. look under the cap for a 4 digit number, slide the cover over and look underneath. Why would you have only one key? keep one in wallet keep one on the bike make the wife/girlfriend carry one.

    Really!

It is true "you can't fix stupid" I know common sense is dead, but really, do have to tell someone to disconnect the trailer from the boat before you use it? Hard to imagine someone would do that. Even a young kid would know better than that.
  7. In some states (Minnesota) it is law that insurance companies are required to make a profit. Thank you law makers. Do you think they were bought off?..... no wait they are lawyers.
  8. Can you spell insurance? C-R-O-O-K-S They are getting a similar rep as lawyers. If you have an automatic payment to your insurance like on a mortgage then that is a signal to them to automatically increase your premium each year in hopes you don't catch it. Yes check around each year and make sure you are getting the best deal possible. After all an insurance company is only as good as their last payment on a claim. It used to be and still is for some that they have been with the same insurance company for years. They don't give discounts for loyalty. Fortunately I have not had a claim in years but it is still a game of numbers.

    Really!

And for those that just need a laugh! 1. WILL THE REAL DUMMY PLEASE STAND UP? AT&T fired President John Walter after nine months, saying he lacked intellectual leadership. He received a $26 million severance package. Perhaps it's not Walter who's lacking intelligence. 2. WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS: Police in Oakland, CA, spent two hours attempting to subdue a gunman who had barricaded himself inside his home. After firing ten tear gas canisters, officers discovered that the man was standing beside them in the police line shouting, 'Please come out and give yourself up.' 3. WHAT WAS PLAN B? An Illinois man, pretending to have a gun, kidnapped a motorist and forced him to drive to two different automated teller machines, wherein the kidnapper proceeded to withdraw money from his own bank accounts. 4. THE GETAWAY! A man walked into a Topeka, Kansas Kwik Stop and asked for all the money in the cash drawer. Apparently the take was too small, so he tied up the store clerk and worked the counter himself for three hours until police showed up and grabbed him. 5. DID I SAY THAT? Police in Los Angeles had good luck with a robbery suspect who just couldn't control himself during a lineup. When detectives asked each man in the lineup to repeat the words: 'Give me all your money or I'll shoot'....... the man shouted, 'That's not what I said!' 6. ARE WE COMMUNICATING? A man spoke frantically into the phone: 'My wife is pregnant and her contractions are only two minutes apart'. 'Is this her first child?' the doctor asked. 'No!' the man shouted, 'This is her husband!' 7. NOT THE SHARPEST TOOL IN THE SHED! In Modesto, CA, Steven Richard King was arrested for trying to hold up a Bank of America branch without a weapon. King used a thumb and a finger to simulate a gun. Unfortunately, he failed to keep his hand in his pocket. (hellooooooo)!? 8. THE GRAND FINALE!!! Last summer, down on Lake Isabella, located in the high desert, an hour east of Bakersfield, CA, some folks new to boating, were having a problem. No matter how hard they tried, they couldn't get their brand new 22 foot boat going. It was very sluggish. In almost every maneuver, no matter how much power they applied it just dragged. After about an hour of trying to make it go, they putted into a nearby marina, thinking someone there may be able to tell them what was wrong. A thorough topside check revealed everything in perfect working condition. The engine ran fine, the out-drive went up and down, and the propeller was the correct size and pitch. So one of the marina guys jumped in the water to check underneath. He came up choking on water, he was laughing so hard. NOW REMEMBER...THIS IS TRUE. Under the boat still, strapped securely in place, was the trailer! They walk among us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. OK Steve great job. I'll be there! Gary, Steve, Russ will be in attendance for sure.
  12. CANCELLED! ALL OF THE BELOW. LFI This is the rescheduled meeting notice. Meeting Location: Copper Lantern St.Cloud Minnesota Date: June 7th Time: 11:00am or there abouts until it is over Invitees: Any Venture rider members, friend, girls, boys, other, people that like to have a good time. ....................Especially members from the Minnesota & surrounding states. We would really like to increase the participation of the Minnesota and surrounding members. There was talk about a maintenance day but it kind of died before it got started. Maybe we could resurrect it again if there is interest. We usually have at least one M&E during the winter but it was so darn cold it just never materialized. We seem to have three guys that always show up and they seem to end up with the lion's share of the responsibility to make the Pork in the Pines a success. Not to excludes the ladies that pitch in with out them we would really be in trouble. There is always seems to be something to do and get done. We need new ideas and new blood to get involved. This meeting is a M&E and BS session as well as a planning meeting for the Pork in the Pines. All are welcome and encouraged to come and participate in meeting new friends as well as old friends. This is a close as I get to begging folks. You now have all the information make your plans to attend and put the faces to the names. Hope to see a good turnout and meet some new friends. Bubber aka Steve
  13. It may look cool but for me he made a simple condition or action complicated and for no real benefit. But if you like the steam punk look it has merit. Steve
  14. My guess it is a closed loop system so if you can't see it at the, master cylinder, hose or the clutch cylinder it is leaking internally, most likely at the engine interface to the clutch. Did you look from the bottom of the bike looking up to see if there fluid dripping down? for what it is worth.

    Why?

Why? Why not? Who cares? Where for art thou? What? Pick one and go for it!
  16. "I have the best husband in the world!" Did he bribe you to say that? Happy Birthday Don!
  17. Sleeperhawk you must have miss read Annies post. Dingy has done the conversion to US dollars and made his new bid. :rotf: Just go with it........ trust me!
  18. Hey Tom, Your never to old to enjoy what you love. A promise is a promise but who makes you give up what you love? Best of all to you Tom. Make sure we see the final project when your done. Hope to see you at Pork in the Pines again or Iowa. Respectfully Bubber
  19. If you don't care if it works or not why not just plug the hole or remove the mount? Why buy something that literally has no function?
  20. I am waiting for Sexagenarian to give me a call. Thinking about a M&E combined with a maintenance day. :rotf: Still up in the air.
  21. Funny thing is I was thinking of you just the other day wondering where the heck you have been. But mostly your wife and her cinnamon buns (that was code). :rotf: I am counting on you to be at the Pork in the Pines this year. Mark it on your calendar, swap, trade. steal the days off to be there. Take care buddy.
  22. Well I got a 2nd reply and they said they would keep my resume on file if they run across a job that meets my criteria. I won't be holding my breath. I just hate applying for or using an agency site Vs a direct hire situation. You know they are not working for you, that was abundantly clear. Bill in mn : I will pm or call you if I can find a number.
  23. 140 looks and no replies. I am starting to feel rejected. :rotf: Craigslist or Ebay here I come.
  24. Instead of saying I refuse the offer, I told them that they did not meet any of the criteria that I was looking for and I was afraid that we were just to far apart. I never rejected the offer only stated that they did not meet my criteria needs. I think they felt I was desperate or something. NOT! Bubber
  25. It is more like being insulted. I stress insulted. Kind of like I offered you $5.00 for one of your valve tools after you put all the work and effort to make a good quality product. Now who's insulted? :rotf: Sorry but it was just a way of getting my point across.
