  1. Ya I know 16 years is a long time invested into working at a place. I just had no hope of anything ever changing due to the one guy at the top. It was like a local infection that just spread it's little cancer cells to every person in the organizaion. Time to get out or die. I just couldn't see myself spending the rest of my working carrer waking up and hating the thought of going to work and putting up this BS, especially when it was the simplest of human decencies. Like having a conversation with your boss without being talked down to, feeling you could even ask a question about what you were doing, making a change to improve things without getting permission from on high. This is why I chose to get out for my own metal heath. I just chose to save myself. I hope things change around for you and things get better. Best of luck.
  2. Yammer Dan do yourself a big favor. go find a job you will like. Your metal health will improve 600% overnight. I know mine did. I am not one for self pitty. Not finding a different job was all on me. I used to and I still do call these people that say it is all someone elses fault "professional victims" I am not one and plan on never being one. For those that need a change "just go do it" You will be surprised what a feeling it is to know that it is behind you. I know that for the next 9 days there is nothing my soon to be ex boss can say to get under my skin. I plan on doing my job and cleaning up all the loose ends I can so that I leave the next guy better off than when I started 3 years ago. I am not doing it for the boss but for my personnal satisfaction. They will say what ever they want once I leave but I will know what is the truth and that is all that count to me. So what the heck are you waiting for. GO MAKE IT HAPPEN ! Bubber
  3. I am not sure anyone can keep Pete in line. I'll be practicing my Tequilla skills over the next year to get prepared for Pete. I am looking forward to seeing all the Canadians again next year and hopefully meeting BigBob. This time in person.
  4. No Big John I didn't retire I just moved on to a job where the bosses treat people like people and not like crap. Live and learn, and trust me I learned a big lesson at this last job. He who lauughs last laughs best....... as they say. Bubber
  5. NOT TO WORRY! I AM THERE! After all who is going to carve the pig and keep Lowel in Line? LOL
  6. NO! There are things in life you can change and things you can't... don't spend my time worrying about things I can't change. Thanks for the support and for those that are looking or waiting for offers or the next opportunity I wish you the best. May God bless us all in these turbulent times. Bubber
  7. Thanks all !! I may actually look forward to going to work. I know I feel a lot better knowing I am working somewhere else. Bubber
  8. I just resigned my job and I couldn't be happier. I needed to move on and this week I finaly pulled the plug to make it happen. Oh I forgot..... I also got a nice offer from a company that appreciates it's employees and wants them to do well !!!!!! I am as giddy as a school girl. Thank God its over. And I really do mean thank GOD! Bubber
  9. Nothing is missing, that is what it does... kicks you back so you can click on next picture. It is not a slide show. Hope that helps. Steve
  10. Any plans for a 2nd Gen set of wind deflectors??????? DOn't make me beg! Now that you have our attention it is a good time to make up a batch or 2 or 10. Steve AKA Bubber
  11. The Brickstones were so loud on my 2006 Midnight that I actually thought I was regaining some of my hearing. Man them puppy are LOUD!!!!!!!!!! Tried Dunlop 404s they seem to be alot more quite and do the job. I vote No for Brickstone ... sorry Margret. Steve aka Bubber
  12. Does that mean you will opening that big can of Whoop A$$ you been saving??? LOL I guess it is all over and done now. Be good, be strong, and ride on into the sunset. Steve
  13. Honesty hurts sometimes. I read the post a couple of times just to make sure I wasn't missisng something. Shipping cleary stated. Ya! I get the statement, he could have done it differently . Ya I got it. But didn't you agree up front? The seller has no idea what your thinking. You could have asked him a question about cheaper shipping couldn't you? He didn't know you would wait longer. Most people want it sooner than later. Me too! Seems to me everybody agreed to the transaction, you got what you paid for and it came in good shape...... what was the ***** again?????? Him going off on you was overboard but look at it from his point of view. he did what he said he would do and you left a poor comment. I had a guy leave a "positive comment" that basically stated that "I was impatient and rude but the money showed up". All the other comments I have are "great ebayer", "would love to business again with me" and so on. Bottom line he pissed me off just because I asked him questions after the sale I was rude and impatient. I don't think you have a ***** here. You both did what you said you were going to do. Live and learn, you'll be smarter next time. This may fall into "the buyer be ware" or make sure you read the fine print and can live with it. Steve
  14. Put some weight in it, sand bags, what ever. Put 20 -40 lbs of wieght on the tongue.measure it with a fish scale. center the other weight over the wheels. Cargo net works great to hold everthing together so it don't shift. Go slow till you get used to it. and watch out for the dreaded wiggle at slow speed. I had it because of neck bearings were not properly adjusted. All better now. OH! Congrates on the new trailer. Steve AKA Bubber
  15. AND WHATS WRONG WITH A SNOWMOBILE????? It my second mode of transportation 9 months out of the year.
  16. Try SignalDynamics for a light bar that goes under the trunk. It is 11 LEDs and is very good. About $25.00 or so. Others sell it too but not as cheap. Good Luck Steve
  17. Not all people can pay cash for everthing. I subscribe to living within your means and not useing a credit card except when absolutly needed. Then pay it off at the end of the month. I have heard of people with 40,000 dollars on their credit cards. How is that even possible? I don't spend what I don't have and can't afford. Sometimes I just have to go without. Just life! Steve aka Bubber
  18. I see that Minnesota is 707 (and in the lead) because we are frugel........... ya go with that! Not cheap. LOL
  19. Do people think that this is a good price with all the damage??? I just get a kick out of the Harley guys and what they are willing to spend for a wrecked bike. One was a crispy pile of junk and it went for over $2000.00. The motor was melted and I do mean melted! I must be nuts for even looking at the site anymore. Steve
  20. I kind of have an unwritten rule, "not to pay more than 40% of retail" Just a guide line I really. I only get a small percentage but it don't hurt like getting hosed by some of the people on ebay.
  21. May I suggest that a new thread be started titled " Good news from the Canadian Crew" Or Good news about Big Bob" Seems that Big Bob is on his way to recovery and all those good thought and prayers from everyone are kicking in. Thank God for that. May it continue and Big Bob gets back to him O'l self as soon as possible. Our hopes and prayers are still with you and a lot of people follow this thread to read the updates with keen interest, not just the people that have met you but even those that haven't had the chance yet. God Bless and God's Speed to you in your recovery. Yet to have met (but hopefully at the next Pork in the Pines) Steve Stelter aka Bubber

  25. What do you really get from changing from SB to Halogen. Is it really worth the $135 difference. I look at it as a prcticle matter. In other words what am I really gaining for my money. If it is worth it to you... go for it. For me it wouldn't be. There was just a post on the bulbs and removing the little nub to allow for the proper roation. look at some of the recent postings and you will find it. Good luck no matter what you decide to do. Steve
