1. That should be obvious ... to see if they can lock their trunk with the ONLY key inside it....
2. Never lock your trunk and you'll never need this very useful TIP. - OR - Don't buy a Goldwing
3. Jack ... please don't take what I said out of context. I stand by my words "compared to what's available over the past 10 or more years, it fails miserably as a "beginner" Web site builder".
4. I have to disagree with you (and anyone else) on FrontPage. Having been a software instructor for longer than Windows has been on the market and have taught FrontPage many times, compared to what's available over the past 10 or more years, it fails miserably as a "beginner" Web site builder IMHO. 2003 was the last version I believe. Did a google search and found Microsoft's latest offspring of FrontPage ... Expression Web, which is free. Haven't tried it though. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36179 My advice ... forget FrontPage FWIW, I switched to NetObjects some 14 years ago because of it's ease of use compared to FrontPage.
5. This is not new, I've know this for years .... 'cept I keep forgetting it .....
6. GoDaddy has pretty much everything you need including Domain Name registration, Web hosting and Web creation, Email accounts, etc. You can buy very inexpensive Web creation software for around $50 that are very easy to use. Once you've created your web with them on your home computer, you simply FTP upload them to your Web hosting co at your domain. Here's a couple I use... WebEasy Pro http://www.avanquest.com/USA/software/webeasy-professional-10-new-version-500665?meta=work&cat=design&sub=web-design&rs4=VCOM_US_PPC_0514&gclid=CJyMxvipp8ACFYNsfgodAX0Anw NetObjects Fusion http://netobjects.com/
7. Bet he couldn't do that again if he tried LOL
8. Dang! y'all need to schedule these things when I can make it. Missed out on the "Venture West" one and can't make this M&E either. If I wasn't heading to the Okanagan for a 4 day holiday, I'd be coming to your M&E.
9. Years ago it was common to only change the filter on every second oil change. You're doing it every 1/2 ... a bit "over kill" if you ask me ... but, nobody asked so I didn't say that LOL
10. Since that original post came out (quite some time ago), Bill Gates has bought out all the technology companies involved in the auto industry. This is why we now have to press the "Start" button to shut down on new vehicles.
11. Those Canadian numbers would be a LOT higher if I was still riding a Yamaha ... but now I have nothing to whine about ...
12. Polaris did the similar thing with the Victory Cross Country ... 1st year or two the trunk was an optional add-on and I think it never came available until the second year. Lowers weren't available. Then they introduced the Cross Country "Tour" which had everything.
13. Leland ... thanks for putting the kaybosh on my thread LOL!! just kiddin of course ... glad you cleared that "urban legend" up as I didn't know it and simply re-posted something the warden shared with me.
14. I shake my head at some of the prices ppl ask. Heck, I bought my '06 midnight with 1300 KMs on it in 2008 for $12,500 ... how does a person expect to get over $11k for a one year newer bike 6 years later and that many miles on it is beyond me.
15. heh ... call me "hard pressed" then LOL
16. Tom Hanks' Father: If you were alive in 1957, and old enough to enjoy Rock and Roll, you will probably remember the group, "The Diamonds" who had just launched their super hit "Little Darlin' ". For you that are too young to remember - it was a time when the performers were happy, enjoying themselves, respecting their fans, dressed appropriately and their lyrics could be understood. They did not feel obligated to scream, eat the microphone, mumble inaudible lyrics or trash the set. In 1957, The Diamonds had a hit with "Little Darlin" 47 years later, they were requested to perform at Atlantic City ... This link leads to both performances. Watch the first one then scroll down for the new one 47 years later. Tom Hanks father is much better looking than Tom, and even better looking with age. In the linked videos Tom Hank's father is the lead singer on the left. He still has it! Hope you enjoy. 47 years apart 2 Performances -- http://www.flixxy.com/the-diamonds-little-darlin-1957-2004.htm He's the guy on the left.
17. I do too. For me though, the RSV is outdated and too top heavy. The Harley is too expensive. The Vic CCT is the best of those two at a reasonable price. For that I can accept the sharper lines.
18. hmmmmmm.... let's see now ... so the RSTD or for that matter the RSV doesn't? Aside from BMW and Goldwing, most of the others in that class look like Harley knock-offs. Who cares? A touring bike has to have a motor, fairing or windshield, and saddlebags c/w optional a trunk ... and to some degree they all look similar.
19. Neither am I ... it's like the Victory Vision ... you either love it's looks or hate it. That said though, I've seen a few damn good looking Visions ... or maybe I was drunk at the time
20. That's a boat for the ocean ... not the land
21. Mine - Good looking - yes; newer - no. It's a 1991 model with a '93 115hp, 4 cyl, 2 stroke, oil injected Yamaha engine. Goes like snot and I didn't pay a lot! ... hmmmm Should have it back in the water this weekend I hope ... little "mishap" like that won't stop me.
22. This guy went past us as we were sitting at a restaurant outside having brekkie yesterday. Caught up with him a ways down the road (prolly coz he was stopped LOL)
23. Just don't try racing with a second gen ..... your bike won't go that slow ....
24. Well, these words have some truth to them, I am here to say.... Last Tuesday we got caught in a bad squall on the Shuswap lake and took on water while trying to tie up to a dock. Basically sunk the boat at the shoreline. Unfortunately the boat got pounded by the waves (3+ ft) against rocks under the water at the shoreline and the hull got scraped up pretty bad to the point of leaking at a couple places. Luckily I was able to find a guy who could repair it for a reasonable price otherwise it could have become a write-off (considering it was older and we didn't pay a lot for it). Engine is fine, not sure about all the electrics yet but the bilge pump works and the engine starts. I think the stereo is toast. Everything else was totally soaked (waves filled the boat to the top) and one of the seats got broken when somebody stepped on it during the process. 3 hours later things died down and we were able to bail out most of the water but we had to be towed back to where we were staying. Thankfully Nina and I are fine except I royally wrecked my back when I stumbled on a submerged rock and fell between the boat and that rock. Folks at the cabins there say they've not seen a squall come up that fast and last for so long. It caught us off-guard and in the middle of the lake. For those who don't know, the Shuswap is a very large lake in the interior of BC. If you google it, we were appx 1/3 of the way between what's called "the Narrows" and where we were staying which is across the lake from Sicamous.
