  1. I've practiced panic stops at least once on every bike I've owned. When I got my Wing (which has ABS), that was one of the first things I did because having ABS on a bike was new to me. I was AMAZED at how quickly I could stop and not loose any control whatsoever. Same thing on my Vic. Having been a rider for so many years, brake control is second nature. I work both front and rear and have had many situations where I've had to panic brake. Honestly can't remember a time when I've actually locked up the rear wheel and I think that is because I apply a lot more pressure to the front under those circumstances. Having said all that, it's really a good idea to practice this a bit more often, if for nothing else but to "hone" that "second nature" thing ... kinda like a brain memory refresh.
  2. Any day I can't ride due to the weather is a day worth complaining about.
  3. That's too simple .. no wonder I didn't think of it LOL!
  4. There should be a USB HDD port on your TV. Plug the thumb drive in there. Go into your TV menu and locate Allshare Play or Recorded TV In there you can choose record tv and then select what you want to record. I would recommend you use a portable HDD for this though as recordings can take a lot of space and fill up the thumb drive pretty quick. NOTE: you might need a "Smart TV" for this...
  5. Is it possible that her filing system is unorganized?
  6. The "dongle thing" is probably just a wireless adapter that makes a computer that doesn't have built-in wireless, wireless. I doubt you could hook that to any "regular" or External HDD and make it work. You would need a "wireless specific" external HDD. If your computers are hard wired they shouldn't be losing sight of each other. Is each one set up on the same WorkGroup? Have you created any Shared folders?
  7. Rain, Rain, and more Rain ... guess I'll watch motorcycle movies all weekend ...
  8. I've heard (or was it 'read') that the Lucas product isn't so good to use in our bikes BUT ... MotorKote IS ... check it out. I've used it in my '06 RSMV, my '03 Wing, and now in my '13 VIC. (maybe that's why it's so smooth )
  9. An old man lay sprawled across three entire seats in the movie theater. When the usher came by and noticed this, he whispered to the old man, "Sorry sir, but you're only allowed one seat." The old man didn't budge. The usher became more impatient. "Sir, if you don't get up from there I'm going to have to call the manager." Once again, the old man just muttered and did nothing. The usher marched briskly back up the aisle, and in a moment he returned with the manager. Together the two of them tried repeatedly to move the old disheveled man, but with no success. Finally they summoned the police. The officer surveyed the situation briefly then asked, "All right buddy what's your name?" "Fred," the old man moaned. "Where ya from, Fred?" asked the police officer. With a terrible grunt in his voice, and without moving, Fred replied...... "The balcony....."

  12. same here and for a minute there, I thought I was riding my '06. It was even a tad louder when he throttled down a bit and dropped it into 4th. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears .... at that "certain" rpm ... which is quite often where a person is at ... and that "chirp" can really be annoying.

  20. But then he was shocked when his dad said this ... When I was about eight or nine, my mom liked to cook food and every now and then I remember she used to cook for us. One night that stood out in my mind is when she had made dinner for us after a very long and rough day at work, She placed a plate of jam and extremely burned toast in front of my dad. Not slightly burnt but completely blackened toast. I was just waiting to see if anyone noticed the burnt toast and say anything. But Dad just ate his toast and asked me if I did my homework and how my day was. I don’t remember what I told him that night, but I do remember I hearing my mom apologizing to dad for burning the toast. And I’ll never forget what he said: “Sweetie, I love burned toast.” Later that night, I went to tell my dad good night and ask him if he really liked his toast burned. He put his arm on my shoulder and said, “Your momma put in a very long day at work today and she was very tired. And besides, A burnt toast never hurts anyone but you know what does? Harsh words!” The he continued to say “You know, life is full of imperfect things and imperfect people I’m not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like every other human. What I’ve learned over the years, is that learning to accept each others faults and choosing to celebrate each other’s differences, is one of the most important keys for creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship. Life is too short to wake up with regrets. Love the people who treat you right and have compassion for the ones who don’t.” ENJOY LIFE NOW.

  22. In IE, go into Internet Options. On the General tab, put a check in the box for Delete Browsing History on Exit. Then go into the Advanced tab and scroll almost to the bottom. Put a check in the box next to Empty temporary Internet files folder when browser is closed.
