  1. Well, last year we bought a ski boat. Some of you may remember. One poster made the comment B.O.A.T. -- Bring On Another Thousand. Well, he was right ... sort of. Had it not been for us swamping the boat last summer against the shore in high waves, it might not have been so bad but that little "escapade" cost us a pretty penny coz it messed the hull up pretty good. We got that fixed and did use it a few times afterwards but now that we've bought a house, we decided to sell the boat and put the money towards the mortgage. I'm feeling quite relieved having only advertised it 2 weeks ago, 3 inquiries, 2 people came to check it out, and one bought. YESSSSSSSSSSS!!! The BOAT is gone! Did I recoup my investment? NO ... but had I rented a boat as many times as I used this one, it would have cost me a lot more so all in all, I'm happy!
  2. Sue the buggers for a zillion dollars!! Good info there Eck! I've occasionally wondered about such things myself. Moral of the story .... never trust anyone! (except me that is)
  3. That's about as crazy as those "Henny Youngman" ads. No other information whatsoever! "Great bike, runs good" or "One owner, Never dropped" or "No reasonable offer refused"
  4. I don't spend a lot of time on Vog ... mostly on the other one I sent you. As much or more activity there than here. If you look at "Recent Activity" on VOG, you'll see there is quite a bit.
  5. PM sent
  6. Ran across this on another forum ... guy added them to his Vic ... nice! OPT7 50cm LED Fluxbeam DRL Tubes White Amber Signal Sync Switchback Audi Style | eBay
  7. Such things do tend to baffle one's mind. Similarly to your 90 mile shipment, something I order from just south of the border can take 5-10 days via USPS. Across Canada ... couple days via Can Post. To fly to a place like Las Vegas & return from Vancouver ... around $180 ... to fly to Kelowna, BC & return ... around the same amount yet there's a 2 hour difference in flight times. Baffles my mind LOL
  8. I've never been charged a service charge by Visa ... only the exchange rate. PayPal, on the other hand, charges a service charge and then visa converts it from US to CAD ...
  9. the answer is ... multiple families share a single house. It's a common thing with people from other countries. They all work and share everything. Many of the houses have 1 or 2 suites which are rented out. Then there's the foreign owner who buys up a few choice properties and rents them out ... often times to several university students or young working singles. Several sharing a real nice place can be quite affordable and this is becoming a sort of "trend" in this area.
  10. Take a look at this ... I bought one and it's amazing for the price. https://www.mobius-actioncam.com/
  11. Trying to trace what's causing that error can be a nightmare.
  12. Wife and I ride transit to work and back home every day. 45 min ride. I'd guess of all those on the same train, 1/3 are English speaking ... the rest speak a variety of other languages and you rarely hear French.

  14. Might have something to do with your account.
  15. No problem here...
  16. Vancouver is near or at the top of the list as one of the best places in the world to live .... IF you're RICH! And that is what is driving prices ... (just in case anyone's wondering ... I'm not rich and I don't live in Vancouver)
  17. It's long been said that if you want to live in the province of British Columbia, Canada (aka BC) you need to Bring Cash (BC=Bring Cash) Even more so if you want to live in Vancouver as the latest report says that 2/3 of the single family homes in the metro Vancouver area are now at or in excess of a MILLION DOLLARS!! :mo money: :mo money:
  18. You must have gotten it reversed coz the Can dollar has been below the US for months ... and more months, in fact, it was way back in 2013 when we were last at par or above... it's been dropping and fluctuating below ever since. Have a look at this site ... http://www.bankofcanada.ca/rates/exchange/exchange-rates-in-pdf/ In April 2013 United States Dollar 1.01869545 CAD Feb 2013 United States Dollar 1.00984737 CAD Jan 2013 United States Dollar 0.99213182 CAD That was the last time were were worth more than US ... in other words, one dollar of our money gets more than a dollar of yours. Feb 2015 United States Dollar 1.25000526 CAD
  19. Other thing about using the cc is you get the exchange rate at that time ... which could be lower than, say 5 days earlier when ya exchanged the cash.
  20. That must have been when the Can dollar was worth more than US coz right now your dollar is worth more than ours so you're spending less. For $1 of ours, you only pay 78 cents at the moment. Having said that, unfortunately most everything up here costs more so ya can't win for losin LOL I remember when I was in high school .... wait a min ... ... ... .... never mind, I forgot!
  21. Ya, I thought about that after I hit "Post" LOL ... maybe the newer RKs are designed differently than the old ones. Will be interesting to know how they sound ... if they are a different note or are quieter than the old design you could see thru.
  22. Could it be that they have catalytic convertors in them? I might be mistaken but I kinda recall that newer ones did.
  23. Bleed the system and get a clutch spring upgrade from .... is it Skydoc?
  24. yep, y'all south of us can get rich offa us northerners :mo money:
