  1. The shield was one of the first things I changed on my '06 when I got it. Put a wider Clearview on but even it was a tad too tall. I simply cut it down to just below eye level.
  2. My '06 seemed to pull a little to the right at times. Somebody said to adjust my butt a tad to the left ... it worked!
  3. If so, then I won't have to worry about Nina being receptive ....
  4. Seems to me this "maintenance day" is for more than just fixin and maintainin motorcycles!! The peeps need some fixin too! Wish I could be there ... maybe in a couple years once we're retired.
  5. Cool ... I have at least 3 old helmets we no longer use ... I wonder if Nina will be receptive to this idea...???
  6. I think I'd come to your event just for that it sounds so good!
  7.
  8. I read somewhere the 1999 Valks had some sort of issue that was rectified with the 2000/2001 model. Anyone know what that was? Other than that, anything specific to look for when buying a Valk Interstate? Appreciate the feedback.
  9. Wrong solder? Are you using rosin core?
  10. Kinda throwing all the apples into the same basket aren't ya? Sorry, I can't side with ya on that one.
  11. I got this book AFTER I got married .... what a waste of money (the book) ... there simply is NO UNDERSTANDING women! That's what the book is really saying.
  12. Well here's another "fridge" issue that it would be interesting to know if others have experienced. 4 years ago we bought a new Whirlpool fridge with bottom freezer. After a while I started noticing ice buildup on the ledge below the freezer slide out. I'd chip it out and it would build again. Went on-line and found this to be a manufacturing "flaw". The drain system that allows the condensation to drain off to an underneath pan has a rubber "valve" that clogs up because of it's design. To fix it, you have to pull most of the freezer wall panels out including the slide out drawer, melt and clean out all the built up ice where the drain hole is, open up the back of the freezer and clean out the rubber valve and then cut a notch in it so the hole is bigger. What a PITA of a job that was but at least it's working properly now and no more ice buildup!
  13. Thirty bucks is CHEAP just to put up with me! One of these days in the not too distant future I/we will be there and then you'll see ...
  14. $8.22 ... hmmmm since we don't have pennies anymore, it get's rounded down to $8.20 so that's all you get from me.....
  15. LOL ... sold it a few years ago and bought a 2003 Wing. Traded that in 2013 for a 2013 Victory Cross Country Tour. I still have that and paid it off 2 weeks ago. Will keep it for at least another 2 years and maybe trade for something different then.
  16. You'll even find me over there LOL
  17. Of which the air filter was 3 hrs LOL
  18. Unfortunately every bike has at least one downside ...
  19. Sometimes what people type is taken out of context by some people who might be, let me say, thin-skinned... On the other hand, even those who supposedly are of the thicker skinned kind tend to get their nose out of joint from time to time. It's just human nature and a matter of a person's individual interpretation. Most of us have been around here for quite some time and have learned to take things with a grain of salt (most of the time).
  20. #7 defeats #6
  21. Honda did good when they brought out that color combo IMO. Really nice. My only issue with the new Wings is why they didn't change the design of the trunk to match the side bags better. Other than that, I like the other various design changes, especially the blacked out headlights. I even copied that on my '03.
  22. It will be pay back time for our 4 kids LOL

My favourite thing! 11:00 pm - Sleeping on the bed! My favourite thing! Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary. .. Day 983 of my captivity. My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. Bastards. There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage. Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs. I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now.................
