Glad to hear you're going to be OK. Wanted to comment about the 6 who swore the guy was already in the left turn lane.... seems to me you were in the left DRIVING lane....well, if the guy was in the turn lane, why would anyone be trying to pass him? Seems to me that maybe, by the time you laid it down and hit him, seeing as you'd moved over as far left as possible, when you hit you were both either at or into the turn lane?? Regardless, the guy did an illegal lane change IMHO. You didn't mention how he is?

This past summer I came across a couple who had a small dog that rode in a pack strapped to the top of the trunk. This pack had mesh sides and an opening that the dog could stick his head out as well as a safety strap on the inside. Several years ago I met up with a couple who had a home-made box on their trunk...inside were 3 chihuahua's... they'd travelled from somewhere way down south of the border and I met them travelling between Calgary & Vancouver in the 3rd week of their trip. One year I "let loose" on a guy who had is dog inside a regular dog "travel cage" which was sitting on a flatbed trailer he was towing behind his bike. I let loose because that poor dog was sitting there inhaling all the exhaust coming out of the guys bike as they were travelling.

I have been reading this thread with immense interest. It kinda got me thinking about a TV show that featured various farmers who've become inventors of sorts...coming up with better ways for their equipment, etc. Now, I am in no way suggesting that anyone is a "farmer" in a derogitory sense...those shows impressed me, being a bit of a "tinkerer" myself. Reading threads such as this is great information because when the time comes for me to get my next bike, I will surely be looking to see if any of these things have been done (assuming it will be an RSV or RSTD). One thing for sure... I really don't want to have to go adding this mod and that mod, etc to my bike when I get it...I just want to ride it and enjoy. Or maybe I'll just stick with a 1st gen and not worry about such things! :witch_brew:

Communicating over the 'net has certainly proven to be a really good method to get to know a person without really knowing them and more specifically, without knowing what they look like. I'm sure each of us has had a time when they've met someone and instantly either liked them or disliked them within the first 5 seconds. That's a strange phenomena. Then, after communicating with that person for a while, especially the one they didn't like... ya found the person was really quite nice. I know for a lot of you, you've met each other or at least seen a pic (as I have from viewing pics posted here). For many of us though, we have no idea of what everyone looks like so I thought it might be interesting to have a place on this site where we can post pics of our selves (other than our pic gallery). More like a common place where we can see everyone. Any thoughts/input on this...maybe we have this already and I just haven't found it? Maybe Freebird can create a "Picture Gallery" for this?

That's pretty darned AWESOME!!! ... and I know how you feel as I re-connected with my son after a 32+ year absence. He was 1.5 when I'd last saw him... 34 when we re-connected. It's now been 5 years and we don't let more than 2 weeks go by without seeing each other or at least talking on the phone. Gawd, I missed so much...never again!

I'm guessing this person is a "new" manager huh? If that's the case, it's a common phenomena that they get "head swelling". In other words, the title of "manager" goes to their head and they think they can just "take over" and excercise their new found "authority". It often backfires on them fairly quickly.
