  9. I have a low tolerance for "whiners" ... those people who bi*ch and complain about anything and everything....their life is not complete if they don't have anything to whine about and I especially have a lower tolerance for those same people who whine that nothing goes right for them...it's all their fault...they have every disease know to man...it's all "about me"... AARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
  10. My wife don't want a TV in the bedroom ... I don't understand why...it's the best place to view certain video's.....
  11. I made a New Year's resolution a long time ago and to this day, have kept to it. and that was...... to NOT make any more New Year's resolutions (because I never stuck to them)
  12. That's not what I read... I read the linked brakes are standard and ABS with linked brakes are the option... ???? EDIT: correction ... one site says the linked braking comes with ABS as an available option and another site says the linked brakes are standard and the ABS is an option... and neither are from the Kaw site...still trying to find that info on the Kaw site... EDIT again: I found it on the Kaw site... they have the "standard" model without ABS and Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology and then they have the upscaled model with ABS and Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology... (from their site) K-ACT (Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology) ABS enables riders to execute controlled, balanced braking. Designed to complement riders’ applied brake force, K-ACT ABS ensures ideal brake force distribution to maximise braking efficiency. http://www.kawasaki.ca/model/vulcan-1700-voyager:1148 http://www.kawasaki.ca/model/vulcan-1700-voyager-abs/technology:1172
  13. all I can say is...if I stopped buying products NOT made in my country, I wouldn't have much of anything! ... and I wouldn't cause anything to change either...except my own lifestyle.
  14. We bought an LG 37" HDTV 1080p a year ago... it was the best deal for that size at the time. Got it at Futureshop (essentially Best Buy). We're very happy with it although with my eyes, we should have gone to maybe a 60 inch LOL ... seriously tho, it's great for us and we got HDTV thru SAT and the picture is unbelievable! Take a look at the different connectivity capabilities ... some models will have certain capabilities while others won't and it depends on what you might want to hook up to it such as a computer. We have a smaller, wall-mounted one at work in the boardroom which has a direct connection to the laptop....great for presentations and it also has a USB port that we can plug in a stick and run a powerpoint presentation. Not all models will have that. When we were deciding, the store was able to connect to standard cable service or HDTV on any of the display units...it was good to view the different sets and how good or not good the standard cable feed was .... most channels still come in that way and not a lot are in HD yet...although that's slowly changing. Another thing to consider is your tv feed (cable, satellite, etc) and the device used to bring in the HDTV. When the standard channels (non HD) come through that device, depending on the quality of that unit and the TV itself, that feed's quality can be diminished making the picture not look as good as it would without the HDTV device. (hope that all makes sense LOL) If I recall corectly, it has something to do with converting anolog feed to digital. I've also heard that plasma is better when you get up into the 50 inch and over size.
  15. heh... I got 3 in there now!! oh well...might as well go for 4 ! hey wait a minute.... my garage isn't big enuf .... ok... let's move to a bigger house with a bigger garage ... oh, and that will mean all new furniture .... oh yea... .... ... guess I better get a second job too!!
  16. I've been looking forward to seeing one as well. We have a big Motorcycle show coming up in late January ... I figgure they'll be introducing them there. hmmmmmmm.... I wonder what they'll give me as a trade-in for my '06  Considering I paid 12,900 for it and the Insurance Co values it at 16,000 ... I might be able to come out ahead... nahhhhhhhh .... I'm jus speculatin!
  17. I recall reading that ABS is an option so maybe that's where the difference is....

  20. yes... such as a cassette player!! Seriously...what does the Venture offer that makes you make that statement? (other than 4 cylinders and speakers at the rear seat) ? -OR ... are you referring to aftermarket stuff???
  21. to keep it as original and complete as possible for some special purpose???? wouldn't be moi tho!
  22. His car definately has a '39 grille but from the angle and the size of the pic, it's hard to tell if they are '39 headlight bezels...I believe they are... Me too about the AMT kits... from about 8 yrs old right thru to my early 40's I've been a car model builder ... no idea how many of those 39/40 Ford kits I've done but lots! I only have 2 models left now tho... I got a 1/8 scale Monogram '32 Ford and a 1/25 scale IH cabover tractor. The cabover was bought/built during my days managing a heavy truck lease/rental operation for IH called Idealease in Calgary, Alberta. The '32 is my second one... the first I built when I was around 18 and won 1st place in a car model contest. My current one is in pieces waiting for me to rebuild it. Had it now for about 20 yrs. oooops... here I go hijacking again.....
  23. When you're ready to let go of those mufflers, I'll be happy to take em .... LUV that RED !!
