  1. yup, and there's a variety of routes one can take.
  2. @cowpuc ... uhhhhh could you put all that legal jargon into layman's terms???
  3. I was just viewing a member's profile and it shows they have made 12,270 posts with 37.78 posts per day and they've only been here since June 2015. Heck, I've been here since 2006 and don't even have that many posts and I figure I post more than average ... in fact, I probably talk too much! (let the smart-a$$ remarks begin LOL)
  4. He's riding a 2nd gen ... wouldn't be able to do it either way
  5. Well STOP thinking and git 'r dun and come to Castlegar on the 7th of July! It's gonna be a great time. We have over 50 people coming! (includes singles and double-ups)
  6. awww ... I want one! ;-)
  7. One can never have too many lights on a motorcycle IMHO
  8. Been a while since there was discussion but the last I heard they were thinking of holding one in September somewhere. @GeorgeS Are you coming to Kruis'n the Kootenays? I don't have you on the list.
  9. I suppose I might have been mistaken as pics are not necessarily close up enough to be certain. Then again, my eyes aren't so good either LOL
  10. I've noticed, as I look at various ads for Midnight Ventures, that some have chromed control housings on the handlebars and some don't (2004, 2003, etc). I remember my '06 did ... when did this change? Seems maybe around '05 ??
  11. The prices south of the border are $1000-$1500 less than what they are up here. That said, if a Canuck were to buy down south, the exchange rate and duty would probably eat up the difference. There seems to be quite a few up for sale these days ... I'm wondering what those owners have changed over to ... just a curiosity.
  12. hmmmmm.... as I recall Don, you'd said something about not justifying having so much money tied up in a motorcycle to just have it sit around and that was why you sold the Harley. As I continue to read this "saga", I start thinking ... "geeesh, the way he's going, he'll have just about as much money into this Venture by the time he's done" LOL !! :stickpoke: just razzin ya of course coz I'm super envious of the process seeing as I'm only financially able to do such things a little bit at a time and usually behind the warden's back LOLOL Speaking of which, I'm picking up a set of highway pegs for my bike this weekend (unbenownst to her ... hey, it's my money too ). A little here, a little there ... I'd guess I've added a few thousand extra to the Vic since I got it ... and I ain't done yet! Maybe next year we'll have the wherewithal to attend your maintenance day where I'll be able to drool all over that black beauty! Great to see a man excited about his "toys"
  13. SAW-WEET !!!
  14. Unfortunately, Canada no longer has pennies ....
  15. . . . . . . . . . now what can I buy for ONE DOLLAR ????????????????????
  16. @Eck ... excellent suggestion!!! I've thought of some of that but that's about as far as it got. Time to quit procrastinating and GET TUIT
  17. Did this on my Wing coz with the Wing, it would "turn off" the headlight automatically when you hit the start button. I have HID high and low on my Vic. I did not wire them through a relay .... guess I didn't think of it at the time. This topic reminded me that I'd better do it. The only thing with converting and existing halogen headlight to an HID is the beam configuration is designed for halogen bulbs and HID disperse the light differently than a halogen so the beam is not the same. Low beam will appear to on coming drivers as though you have your high beam on. For a motorcycle, I see this as a good thing coz oncoming drivers/riders will see you coming much sooner. I've had lots of folks comment on how impressed they are with the brightness of my headlight. I believe I went with the 6000 intensity ... 5000 is considered "bright white" whereas the 6000 has a blue tint (minimal ... hardly noticeable)
  18. That's to raise or lower the seat. NO??
  19. If ya quit cleaning them, before long you'll have the blackwalls you really want ...
  20. @cowpuc ... LOVE that Honda chopper man! Always wanted one of those back in the day.
  21. Here's me back around 1978 ... Prior to that I had a 500/4 that I extended the forks on and had Hooker 4 into 1 headers.. Man that thing could haul a$$
  22. NOOOO..... really? One would never know ...
  23. ya, guess I coulda been a golfer ... prolly would have "thrown away" a lot more money
  24. What a shame! ... I do see one furry friend on the roof though ... what's the update on them?
  25. What you've done here Don made me stop and think about all the money I've literally thrown away over the years on my motorcycles. I'm talking about the spent on "personalizing" ... safety chrome, performance mods, and various farkle items I've added to my bikes only to turn around after a few years and sell the damn thing ... get another, and start all over again. Must be some kind of "addiction"
