I heard of a case where somebody got a flu shot when the last "pandemic" hit and now has contracted the H1N1 as a direct result because they got so sick from that flu shot.

tire air pressure. That happened to me when I first got this bike... I took it for a ride, not thinking anything about the tire air pressure... gawd it felt weird... then I checked... tires were at 20lbs.

dunno... haven't tried it on yet but I think the waist is a bit too big for me... Actually, it was showing signs of cupping and when I talked to the dealer's mechanic he suggested putting 2 more lbs of air above factory spec. Interestingly enuf, the front is wearing faster than the rear. (these are the stock tires). I've got appx 18,000 kilometers on them and the front is almost worn out. The rear looks pretty good still. I'll be checking the steering head this winter. I only have 2 more weeks of insurance left so ain't gonna worry about it until after then.

could you be a bit more specific about your bike's "mind"?? ... or is it not sharing that info with you?

I don't know about "wobble" but mine sure seems to have some kind of "flexing" going on when I take a corner fairly "hot" and there's some bumps or dipping in the road. Gets a little unnerving to say the least.

I've never had a flu shot in my life and ain't about to start. I rarely get sick with a cold or any kind of flu. Why fix sumpin that ain't broke. Besides, I read that this H1N1 flu affects mostly young people and those with pre-existing illnesses. I think all the "hype" has got people freaked.

So, does this mean that for every RSV I see on a trailer, the next 10 will be HD's?? -OR- does this mean that, since I've now counted 10 HD's being trailered, the next one will be an RSV?

Anyone remember Danny Kaye? Here's a few pics ... talk about his double (Roman Polanski) or what? When I saw the story about Roman Polanski in the paper today I just couldn't help think.. "Danny Kaye". What a great actor/comedian he was!

RE: the trailering part... I trailered my RSMV home from Calgay last Nov when I bought it because it was just too danged cold to ride it. I wanted to cover it up for the trip so nobody would see that it wasn't a Harley! RE: buying a bike just so you can say you own one... my son lived and dreamed to own a Harley. Finally he got enuf for a down payment and got his '03 Anninversary Edition Sporty 1200. He didn't even know how to ride it so I had to ride it home for him from the dealer. He didn't ride it much that year but in '04 he put about 8,000 km's on it. Since then it's been sitting either in his house or in my garage with the odd day out for a ride. It sits because he can't afford the insurance due to his bad driving record. His buddy bought a Road King at the same time and added about $10 grand of goodies to it... he's not even put 5,000 km's on it since he bought it. It sits in his living room LOL Neither of them hesitate to mention that they "own a Harley" whenever the opportunity arises LOL

If I remember correctly (and many times I don't), the right side (front and back) empty into the right side of the collector and similarly does the left side. The "baffle" that separates the two sides has about a 1 inch hole in it . I figgure to even the pressure between the two sides. As for fixing what you broke off, if the metal is still good you might be able to get it welded bak on. There is a company that makes a custom collector...sorry, can't recall where that is. -

I got my trunk rack from a Yammie shop in Seattle. They were supposed to ship it USPS but somebody screwed up and it came UPS. Cost me around $45 and a hassle. Nobody home when they brought it so I had to go thru a bunch of b/s just to get it delivered to my work. USPS would only have cost $15. I called the Yammie shop about it...they were very apologetic and offered a credit on my next order. Whenever I buy anything off the 'NET I make sure that it's USPS shipping.

recent takeoffs might have the catalytic convertor and this has to be dealt with differently. do a search for related posts as for the price, that's about $25 more than what a person should pay but IMHO, that's still cheap considering what other mufflers will cost. You can also drill out the baffles to get more sound and BARK out of them.

You probably need to bleed your clutch hydraulic system to start with.

I hesitate to say it coz someone will probably state the opposite but IMHO, unless something is boken, worn clutch plates are "normal wear and tear" which means they'd "probably" not be covered under warranty. Then again, it's always worth a try. My own experience with synthetic is, if you put it into an older bike with lots of miles that hasn't been using synthetic and you might have clutch issues (slippage). Walmart sells Mobile 1 synthetic motorcycle oil ... that's what I used. Remove the clutch discs/plates and inpect them. If they still look good, scuff them up with emery paper and stick 'em back in.

Oils are designed to do certain things and are only required to do those things. Additives are designed to do other things the oils are not. Same as Seafoam in gas. But of course, you already know that but imagine the cost and complexity of an oil that "does it all"...if that would even be possible.

I AGREE... I've had these clutches apart enuf times to know that one hour max is all that's necessary by anyone with any knowledge and ability to hold a wrench in their hand. For a dealer's trained and seasoned mechanic with all the right tools...they should be able to do that in 1/2 hour or less.

the "basket" is a part by itself which holds the rest of the clutch components. it's like a large cup so to speak. here's a pic... it's part # 18 -
hahaha.... OR... stop at the grocery store for "just a couple things for dinner".... She comes out with a weeks worth of groceries!!

:rotf: :rotf: I used to live in Sudbury, Ontario and there's a lot of French Canadians there ... some of that "backwards english" sure can be funny. And they often start such sentences with "Me.." and then end the same sentence with "me" LOL
