That's correct... it was originally called MY IE ... and it still uses the IE engine but the browser interface is very good. Because it uses the IE engine, there are no compatibility issues whereas Firefox still has ... for example, I have two web based applications that I use at work and neither of them will run in Firefox. One of them is a Cisco email app. The other is a comercially available Incident Management/Ticketing system. I have the current version which is 2.5.8 http://www.maxthon.com/

Back atcha Brian! Since I don't do a lot of riding in the dark (now don't jump on that! lol), I'm not overly concerned about how they light up the road. Mostly there for whatever extra light they will give, the look, and so oncoming drivers can see me better. There's maybe 4 other styles of this light product but I like the chrome ones. I noticed also that Can Tire sells a similar horn as the Stebel Nautilus compact one but it's not chrome and they want $70.

Canadian Tire has a new product line and I found these for $30 ... halogen 35watt. They look a lot better than the ones I had plus they're brighter. First pic is what I had.

I've installed it on a few PC's at work. Seems to be OK. I don't use IE myself. Been using Maxthon for 10 years and it's had tabbed browsing for much longer than any other browser. Hate FireFox ... it's too incompatible and really has nothing to offer that Maxthon doesn't. Never have compatibility issues with Maxthon. One of the neatest features of Maxthon is I can simply drag on a link and it opens it in a new tab.

The splines on the driveshaft just slide into the splines of the u-joint. The whole thing is held in place when it's bolted up at the pumpkin/driveshaft tube with the 4 acorn nuts. -

correct ... you should not have to pull the driveshaft out of the pumpkin. Further, and I didn't explain this clearly before, if you do pull the shaft, you should put it back into the pumpkin before putting the whole thing back into the tube and into the u-joint. At least that's the way it worked for me and that's the way I see getting the shaft with the seal back into the pumkin properly. Simplest way is... pull the pumpkin with the driveshaft intact, lube the splines that go into the u-joint and put it back together. Use Eck's method. -

no... #33 goes at the pumpkin end, along with the circlip. The diagram is misleading because it has to be "blown up" that way. When you get it apart, you'll see. You will not have to deal with #9 ... that's inside on the pinion gear. -

I wear my ski pants that I've had for ohhh... 20 years. Surprisingly they still fit although they're a bit tight around the belly now! LOL what exactly are "bibs" ? Only thing I relate them to is that thing that drapes across your chest so ya don't spill food, etc all over your shirt.

Where Did The Oil Go

A. The pcv valve uses vacuum created by the engine sucking air through the intake manifold to suck vapors from the crankcase into the cylinders to be burned with the air/fuel mixture. The likelyhood of this system to suck 2 quarts of oil and run it back thru the cylinders is about as remote as me winning the lotto ... probably more remote. Now, if you had ring blow-by or bad valve seals, it would be more believable. I would be looking for those possible causes (barring any chances of it just leaking out). As prev mentioned, oil in the coolant is also a suspect but 2 quarts in 4000 miles.... something has to be visible somewhere coz ya can't overfill the reservoir by that much and not notice it (just my $0.02) -
The gas cap reflection was a real annoyance even on my stock shield. I painted the cap with flat black spraypaint. No more reflection.

There is an oil seal on the pumpkin end of the driveshaft (see att'd pic) ... none on the engine side. The splines on the engine side are manually greased.... the ones on the pumpkin end are lubed by the oil in the pumpkin. If you pull the shaft from the pumpkin to make it easier to slide back into the U-joint at the engine end, then you may need to replace that seal beforehand...probably a good idea to replace it anyway if you pull the shaft from the pumpkin. Note the circlip (#36) that holds it in. When I pulled mine on the '87, I was able to slide the whole assembly (pumpkin & driveshaft) back into the tube and into the U-joint with minimal "fussing" to get the splines lined up. -

Can't go south of the border .... haven't got the right security clearance. Whenever I've asked anyone, including top managers, in a store such as Walmart about getting something that they don't either have or are out of stock on, the reply is generally "oh...that's all handled out of head office...we have no control over that". Those store people are nuthin but pawns.

Just a off-beat curiosity ... Wondering if anyone who has had the I-basket swap done has discovered that they didn't actually get an I-basket, but something else (like an 'H' or?) even tho the dealer was supposed to put in an I-basket. I started thinking about this because of the variations of "the I-basket worked" versus "the I-basket didn't work" and anything in-between. I will be pulling my basket (and probably my hair) out this winter just to confirm this. oh yea ... can't do the hair...it's already all gone

US stores and CAN stores are often a lot different. There's a lot of stuff you US guys can buy from places like Sears, Walmart, and the like that our stores up here just don't carry. Further, you have several "big name" stores that we don't. IT REALLY SUCKS! Sears.ca has ONE jack. Sears.com has 28 ... yes, TWENTY-EIGHT

It was a dealer's mechanic who suggested running 2 lbs more than spec due to signs of cupping on front tire. I dunno what the mfg tire spec is for these stockers....I should look when I am home tonight.
