I was at a Kawasaki dealer a couple weekends ago chit-chatting with the owner about the new Voyager. My scoot was sitting outside, in plain view ... and he knew I rode in on it. He asked what year my ULTRA was.... :rotf:

could be that my carbs are out of sync again. not too concerned about it at this time. the scoot is "down for the winter" now. I'll be doing maintenance prior to spring and will be syncing them. the popping doesn't really bother me anyhoo.

LOL ... it's all in what you wear. I lived in Calgary, Alberta for 8 years and while there, got hooked into the "cowboy hat, boots, jeans, checked shirt" .... yep, I looked like a cowboy ... and so did all the other guys that hung out at the Longhorn Saloon or the Ranchman's clubs.... most of us never been on a horse in our life LMAO!

A few years ago it was common to see restaurants with signs saying "No MSG" ... especially Chinese food places ... wasn't that because it was deemed "unhealthy" or something like that? Interesting subject...warrants some investigation at least.

Thought this might be of some interest to some of ya'll. I don't think you have Tim Horton's coffe/donut shops "down south" but here in Canada they are everywhere and almost all of them have lineups whenever you go there. I always wondered why ... always thought "they must be doing something to addict people" ... now I know they do.

Every morning flocks of crows fly overhead our house towards the East. Every evening they fly overhead West. Tonight they decided to stop over for a convention! Man, what a noise they made. They "convened" for about 1/2 hour ... some would leave and others would join... it was an amazing sight. Even the airplanes were trying to join...

sometimes a "D" can be confused with a "B" ... I think they thought you said CD ... as in CD player.

I have the aluminum ones holding a deflector lid on the top of my propane heater and I can tell you, that lid gets WAY HOTTER than mufflers will ... no problems so far. But, just my "opinion" . If it was me, I'd go with the alum ones and see what happens... they're easy enuf to replace.

just my thought ... the ends of the mufflers don't get hot enuf to cause an issue with the aluminum ones.

I ride 2-up most of the time. I am still running the stock tires that came on the bike and I have over 18,000 kilometers (over 11,000 miles) and there's still life left on them. I run them at 2lbs over factory recommended pressure (43-44psi).
