Motorkote will not cause clutch slippage (based on personal experience on a '06 RSV and a '13 Victory CCT)

heh ... already placed an order for some "creature comforts" and other farkle for the Roady. Harley Tour Pak with wrap around passenger back rest, hard saddlebags, Kuryakin passing lamp/signal light/bar .... (am I following in someone's footsteps here? LOL)
-
Yup, my days of riding the Victory just went down the street with the new owner. Ahhhh well, it was an awesome 3 years and an amazing bike. I will miss her but more important things take priority these days. Still have our Road Star but we'll not be doing any distance touring on that ... local day trips is about all but my interest in riding has waned, my ability to twist that throttle for hours on end has diminished, and camping and kayaking is tugging at me. Still though, I'm not leaving the forum so y'all will have to put up with me for a long while yet.

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada ... eh

I'd rather live in poverty than die early any day. What I don't want to do is be old and sick to the point I can't enjoy life ... then I'd rather die. Motorcycles are another good reason to spend it all LOL

Last weekend I saw prices as low as $1.06 / litre ... that's about $4.01/US gal and at that price we consider it a bargain coz it's generally around $1.29 / L or $4.88/gal

I've used Armor All and some other, similar products on those plastic parts and they generally looked like new afterwards. That said, the left mirror on my truck just won't cooperate! (right one is ok) LOL Guess you could always repaint them as a last resort ....

I should choose my words more wisely (left out the word "had")! I never wanted to go to church, but back then I HAD to. nuff said.
-
Being I am an atheist, I could never understand why religious folks had to go to church to worship their God ... in my mind, they should be able to do that anywhere ... but what would I know? btw, I did attend church and sunday school and summer camp and all that for a while when I was young coz my step-dad's father was a pastor so there was no way we could visit them without doing that.

Blanking Windows 10 Sucks Goodbye I no longer have a computer

I'm of the opinion that folks who feel this way might have upgraded to Win 10 without paying attention to the recommended system hardware requirements and may well have not optimized their existing files, folders, programs, registry, etc beforehand. Having been in the biz for many years I learned long ago that one cannot just "jump in" without dealing with those things beforehand. Not saying you didn't ... just saying. Every new OS that comes out requires more hardware "oooomph" than the previous OS did. Upgrading to a newer OS also requires a clean and well oiled (optimized) existing system. Anything less will surely cause degradation of performance in the new OS. -

Oh, I don't doubt it ... just find it puzzling as I've not had it happen so far. -

This I find puzzling as it's never happened to any of the upgrades I've done. Guess I need to do more upgrades LOL -

Glad you got logged in Dan! I doubt anyone will convince you otherwise on your last words above; however, I strongly disagree with that statement. Please take some of the advice given here and do something with it so these things won't get you so disgruntled going forward if the ever happen again. -
This notice sent out to all clients in Nina's work from her boss pretty much sums up how valuable she has been to the company ... (I am so proud of her and so happy for her!) ... (can you tell? lol) ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hello everyone Nina Yerex, our wonderful Receptionist/Front Office Coordinator, has decided the time has arrived, and retirement beckons. We’ve been so very fortunate to have had Nina here at Guinness since 2009. During those years she raised the bar for how to do this vital job with grace, skill, and integrity. Our search begins for an outstanding candidate. Since you all appreciate the maturity, personality and excellence in service that Nina brings to the job, a “Nina-clone” would be perfect! But not easily found. Do you, or anyone in your network, know of a really special person who could fit the bill for this career opportunity? Please contact me. Happily, Nina will be available on a back-up basis for reception coverage after she leaves. It’s comforting to have all that experience and knowledge there for us if needed. Nina’s last official day is Thursday, Sept 1st. We know you will join us in wishing her only the best as she approaches this new and exciting, and so well deserved, phase of her life. Kind regards Alison _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Here's a link to where she works... http://www.guinnessbusiness.com/

EVERYONE should take the time to create a Password Reset Disk. I just finished restoring my daughter's failed laptop running Win10. The process is ... Hold the power button down until the computer shuts off. Restart and do this again, maybe a third time Finally when you restart, it will boot into a "repair" screen. In there you can restore your computer to a previous time or re-install windows or restore your computer to factory settings. Have you looked into this.... http://www.howtogeek.com/222262/how-to-reset-your-forgotten-password-in-windows-10/ -
@Larry1963 ... you have a great philosophy that I totally agree with and share. "Live for today coz tomorrow may never come" is pretty much how I've lived my entire life. Only in the past 10 years have I been "preparing" for retirement but I still live for today.

Yup, she will but I'm afraid her being at home more will result in me having more "honey doos" LOL!

I will do that Dale!

In Windows 10 you have 2 ways to log into your computer... 1. Via your Micosoft account 2. You local PC Use #2 otherwise you're gonna get these kinda things happening and on top of that, you are live and connected. Unfortunately, you can only switch to #2 once you're logged in via #1 . To change this you have to go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\User Accounts Then click on "make changes to my account in PC settings" There you can choose to sign in with a Local account instead. Then you can either set a password or not. -
Nina is retiring! Well, not entirely but.... She's been working for the past 8 years as receptionist / office coordinator for a company that leases out office spaces to various businesses. Lawyers, Mining companies, Doctors, you name it plus they have virtual clients. It's an extremely busy place and she controls the front desk and phones, billing, couriers, printing, faxing, meeting rooms, caterers,... the list goes on and on. It's a highly stressful job that requires someone who can be at the top of their game every minute and not miss a beat. After 2 days back to work from holidays she realized that it's just way more than she wants to deal with any more. We talked it over and agreed that it's time for her to move on. That was Tuesday. We got home and one of the Virtual Assistants that Nina deals with who does work for one of the businesses there had left an email to her home addy. Nina had been toying with the idea of somehow working part time from home for over a year. Turns out this "VA" happens to own her Virtual Assistant company and has been scoping Nina out for some time and trying to figure a way to get her to join as a VA on contract. What fantastic timing! On top of that, Nina has already made connections with another small company to do work for them from home. It's so amazing how such things can just fall into one's lap at the most opportune time. Not only has her wish to work from home part time now become a reality, we'll save appx $500 a month on vehicle parking, transit fare, and doggy daycare! You can almost see the waves of stress and relief falling off her shoulders!
-
For us, most of the "events" are simply too far away and mostly south of the border where it costs us appx 30% more. Anything in the West we try and attend but time off doesn't always coincide. Soon we'll both be retired and then it will boil down to a lack of money issue. (hopefully some things will change that)

Folks, before you upgrade to Win10, you must ensure your computeris free of malware and viruses. Additionally, when you do the upgrade, you should turn off any malware or virus resident programs. Scan/defrag/repair your hard drive before upgrading. Uninstall unwanted programs and then run ccleaner on your files and registry. Anything that is popping up saying "pay to get your whatever" is a virus. You need to create a bootable rescue disk. Comodo has one that works well. http://www.comodo.com/business-security/network-protection/rescue-disk.php You have to have access to a working computer but go to the link, download the file and burn it to a CD. Boot the HP from the CD and follow the on screen instructions. You can also try the AVG rescue disk or any other brand, it does not really matter. I've upgraded a few computers to Win 10 without any issues so something's awry beforehand if problems arise I'd think. -
yup... carbon one's adapter with the legs is the way to go! Hockey pucks are good in a pinch. FWIW, '03 Wing, '05 Road Star, and '13 CCT require no adapter ....
