1. I can relate to that when the other half sits on me... :rotf:
2. Now, this really spoils it for me.... :crying:
3. yep ... only took me 35+ years and a lot of "trial runs" to find one
4. Question for those of you who've purchased a Clearview. Has anyone cut theirs down after you purchased it? Any issues with that or is it as simple as cutting down a stock windshield? Reason I ask is I'm close to ordering a Clearview but I don't want to order the shortest one in case I don't like the height...thought being I'll order the tallest and then cut it down if I so decide. I cut my stock down by 2.5" and it was a very easy process but I also want to ensure that the wife gets ample protection / minimal buffeting.
5. ummmmmm... I just re-read this and got me to wonderin ... how does takin the RIGHT wheel off have anything to do with the LEFT engine mount???
6. On the Tiger, you have to pull back the carpeting under the dash on the hump, remove an access panel that's about 5 inches square and "feel" your way to the plug. It's a job that will guarantee more than one skinned knuckle and if you don't have small hands, forget it (probably the reason I was always the one who got to work on this car LOL) ... Now, this memory goes back 42 years and it's almost as clear in my mind as when I was doing it LOL.
7. Sorry to hear that this was so "painful" for ya. Maybe after a little practise you'll knock that time down to about 30 min which is what it took me the first time around. I didn't have to drain the tank tho so maybe that saved me some time. I agree about the lack of slack in the plug wires but a little twisting and yanking gets them outta the way enuf. Now, you want something that is a real pain to change plugs on...try doing it on a '65 Sunbeam Tiger with the V8 engine! If I recall correctly I think it's the left rear plug that will take ya twice as long to change as it does for all the other 7 plugs.
8. 1. A few dry rags 2. A wet rag 3. Elbow grease
9. I ordered 2 boxes of the Acryline product ... took about a week to arrive. Basically the same as the Sea-Bond but the powder doesn't come in a mixing cup and the mixing stick is wood rather than nylon. Also noticed it sets up quicker so ya got to get it poured into your denture sooner after mixing. A little "tip" for anyone using this or similar product ... clean your denture thoroughly and then use a small paintbrush and paint the outer surface and the teeth with butter. Doesn't take much. This prevents any "overflow" of the denturite from sticking and makes it easier to trim off.
10. Looks like we'll be riding this weekend 12C = 53.6F ... plenty warm enuf for a ride!

13. Careful... most folks who come here wind up staying!
14. I am also not a big fan of NHL hockey. WHL sometimes. But these Olympic games I could not miss, especially the last 3 ... exceptional to say the least. And the partying downtown.... it was crazy but the best thing is that I haven't heard a single thing about anyone or any groups getting unruly, nor have I heard of any issues related to security breaches ... it appears to have been a very well-behaved Olympics. Wife's daughters are both bartenders in a club right on the Granville St strip where most of the partying was happening. On a normal busy Saturday night they would do 8-10 grand in business with the girls netting 150-250 in tips ... Last night the club did 25 grand in business and the tips were in excess of $700. Amazing!
15. I watched the entire game along with some of our family. It was definately a "nail biter" of a game! The USA goalie was nothing short of amazing IMHO and Silver is nothing to pout over.

20. OK, dumb question here ... how do these things tie into the bike's audio system? I wanna be able to hear my Sirius system which runs thru the Aux audio. And what about the built-in CB system?
21. really??... and I thought they were for those times you needed the effects of a "vibrator chair" ...
22. Yup... happened to me on the scoot last summer ... you may recall I posted my "near miss". Thought I was gonna become a ghost that day.
23. Which ones have YOU been guilty of?? http://autos.ca.msn.com/editors-picks/gallery.aspx?cp-documentid=23520919 Note #5 and #10
24. I'm still on the stock D404 on the rear and have over 12,000 miles and there's still lot's of tread. Havin a hard time understanding how some folks get such poor mileage. We ride 2-up almost all the time. Been running 42-46 lbs air. Having said that tho, the front was replaced already. I went to a 130/90 running 36 lbs on the front and found that with 44-46 lbs in the rear it felt like I was running on a flat sometimes... dropped that to 42 and made a world of difference. Beautiful handling now. Tossin around the idea of a Khumo for the rear...also maybe a 170/80 (instead of a 150) bike tire.
