  1. I do recall what the rear of that thing looked like... yes, I recall that VERY WELL .. so I went looking on the Porsche site and I'm pretty sure it was the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet. We'd been rolling along a long, straight 4-way with long stretches between the traffic lights .... I passed him in traffic and got a good look at the car, then he passed me in traffic. We both came to a red light and were first out but didn't really "get on it" at that light... it was the next light we came to... first out again ... medium throttle off the light I revved it out in first, hit second and cranked it on... he was beside me and that's must be when his turbo cut in coz it was like "WHOOSH"... and he left me behind. Now I don't feel bad about this at all... what I'd really like now to do is OWN ONE OF THOSE! LOL .. (or at least take one for a ride)
  2. 1st gen... I dunno ... I've had 2 of em ... I know they're faster but man, that Porsche made me look like I was goin in reverse LOL now, If I was solo and the scoot didn't have a rev limiter, and I had a Vmax pumpkin.... maybe I might have been able to keep up long enuf to get the model of it LOL
  3. They're called ... TROLLS ... they have nothing better to do with their time except in on-line forums, blogs, etc, etc.
  4. Awesome day for riding yesterday... left home around 9:30, tripped around the lower mainland/Fraser Valley, got back home around 5:30. Smoked a couple Harleys but when I tried to take on a PORSCHE ..... :crying: I always wondered how quick those thing were ... now I know!
  5. I seen that mountain many times... never knew the name of it.
  6. heh ... (nope... ain't gonna say nuffin!)
  7.   :rotf: :rotf:

  10. cool!! ... guess that's why "Pal" is part of the name eh ..
  11. yup... we're contemplating buying a travel trailer when we retire and just parking our butt's wherever is the cheapest place. As long as we got the scoot, what more do we need...eh .
  12. I don't understand the words on that site but my eyes sure understand the pics!! YYUUMMMMMMMMM !!!
  13. nope... I know of a few guys who are "in that profession" and let me tell ya, times are just as tough ... some make the big bucks... most don't but in a city this size, there's a large number that do very well. As for the housing prices, it's absolutely ridiculous around here ... it blows me away how people can afford to live in this area when they are buying a place. Yet in the 8 years I've been here, I've seen nothing but major housing expansion everywhere within a 100 mile radiius.... and it's still expanding. Massive condo projects, huge blocks of "farm" land converted to single family homes, townhouses, you name it. We RENT the main floor of a 35yr old house in a very old, quiet neighborhood, 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bath, large kitchen & breakfast nook, L-shaped dining / living room and a single car garage and we got lucky @ $1300 a month. Most similar places would be $1500-$1800 /mo. just to RENT ... this place would sell for close to a million if not more ... think we can afford to buy it with minimum down???... not a chance!!!
  14. See how well you score... http://www.crackshackormansion.com/
  15. Diagram??? He's referring to the baffles inside the RK mufflers (I believe). They are nothing more than a round metal "plug" about the size of a Loonie (silver dollar for you US guys LOL) inside the muffler. There is an internal "tube" that runs lengthwise in the muffler and the baffles force the exhaust to the inside of the muffler (so to speak). When you drill out the baffles, the exhaust is almost straight-thru although some still gets muffled. In my RK's, there were 3 of these baffles...one near the inlet, one near the outlet, and one in the middle.
  16. thanks Mike but it still doesn't fully answer my Q so here's a screen shot and what I am questioning is the pick list labeled "Application" ... which should we choose there??? 9004, 9007, H4, H13 ???
  17. so which one (application) did you choose? 9004 9007 H4 H13 Everyone is ordering but nobody is tellin which is the right one to order...
  18. Rick, I see there are 4 different ones so which one specifically did you order ... Standard Digital Slim 12 v 55/55W 24V 35W ?????
  19. There was one in the middle and one close to each end.
  20. Can you elaborate on "steer to the rear" ?
  21. I'd like to comment on the "pebbles and marbles" comments.... Do you guys really do this??? What a perfect way to piss off a cage driver and have them commit road rage against you. What a perfect way to diminish the perception of "a biker" by those who don't ride. Committing acts such as this cannot accomplish anything constructive IMHO. Sorry guys ... that is just not something I can condone. geeeez .. and it was me who suggested pelting them with rotten eggs and tomatoes.... :rotf:
  22. I think I posted a link for that supplier a week or so back... they are located in Prince George, Bc I believe. Some interesting products which I'll eventually be dropping some bucks on from them.
  23. Changing to the I-basket was the only thing that quieted the whine in mine... I tried all the different oil cobinations including the Motorkote. I currently run Shell Rotella T 15w40 and some motorkote and it's sounding pretty good although I don't think one will ever get rid of the whine completely...at least it's now tolerable. I started up my son's Harley Sportster on sunday and I gotta tell ya, there's absolutely no whiney or rattley engine sounds from that motor. It's tight and quiet including when you drive it. Of course, there's the Screamin Eagle pipes that give off a great rumble.
  24. what???? and here I thought this thread was about underpants/swimwear....
  25. Dunno if they are still available but there used to be those wire "springy" things you could attach to your bumper that warned you when you got too close to the curb..... can you imagine that...springy wires sticking out from all sides of your scoot...all tied to a warning device that, when activated by a cage too close to you, caused a cannon to start pelting them with rotten eggs and tomatoes, etc....
