I simply don't like riding much anymore ....

We thought about a class A motorhome pulling a toad but getting some of those bigger motorhomes into some places just can't be done and try to back up with a toad in tow.... so we opted for the truck/5th wheel combo instead. Ya... so looking forward to this "adventure"! Which engine? V10 or 460 or?

Next July I'll be retiring!! yaaayyyyyyy! Nina has already retired as of Sep 1st. Our plan is to sell the house, bike, much of our furniture and buy a big truck and a 5th wheel RV and travel USA and Canada for a couple years. So, I got started this past weekend by trading in our '05 Chev 1500 Silverado for an '03 F-350 "King Ranch" complete with the 5th wheel hitch, etc. V-10 POWER!!

I was in a public toilet and had just sat down, when I heard a voice from the next cubicle, he said “Hi, how are you?” Embarrassed, I said “I’m doing fine.”. The voice said “So what are you up to?” I said “Just doing the same as you, sitting here!” He said “Can I come over?”. Annoyed, I said “Rather busy right now”. The voice said “Listen, I will have to call you back, there’s an idiot next door answering all my questions.”

A woman and a baby were in the examining room waiting for the doctor to come in for the baby’s first exam. The doctor arrived and examined the baby, checked his weight and being a little concerned asked if the baby was breast fed or bottle fed. “Breast fed” replied the woman. Well strip down to your waist the doctor ordered. She did He pinched her nipples, pressed, kneaded, and rubbed both breasts for a while in a very professional and detailed examination. Motioning to her to get dressed, the doctor said “no wonder this baby is under weight. You don’t have any milk” “I know” she said “I’m his gramma …. But I’m glad I came”

Guess I didn't notice it out there as I was blasting by on my scoot LOL Just heard recently that there is now a paper cup recycling program. The homeless and street folk are raking it in with so many discarded paper cups from Timmy's, McD's, Starbucks, etc etc.

I've used both the FIAMM and Wolo with no issues. Here's what I now have on my Road Star and they are very loud.

Are you inferring you might be delusional? I can't imagine the driver had anything to do with any of hat.....

that's ok. I think most of us are familiar with all of that.

I used to get a wobble (or maybe it was a weave) on my '87 that would come on slowly around 100mph and increase as the speed increased. I found that if I opened my legs wide so my knees were out into the wind the wobble would stop. I chalked that up to air turbulence against the trunk and bags.

At least you have the opportunity to try one without taking the leap and buying one. Car tires are not for everyone thats for sure (and not for every bike either) and there's certainly nothing wrong with deciding to stay with an MC tire.
-
ahhhh ... I didn't have my sound on.
-
If you compare this tire to the BFG that Don has, there is a noticable difference in the edges. What brand of tire is this Skid?
-
I would think they would have to prove that the tire was the contributing factor. One can't just "say it's so" without facts to back it up.

I don't know much about the BF Goodrich but I ran a Kumho on my Wing and loved it. Ran it around 32 - 34 psi Put a Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3 ZP on my Victory once the stock tire wore out. Loved that also. Same air pressure. Both tires are radial winter tread and the Kumho was a run-flat. The reason many darksiders go with the above tires is that the profile is much closer to that of an E3 for example. They do not have the crisp, sharp edge that many car tires do and as such, you get more tread on the ground in a corner and less of a feeling of it "standing you straight" when you come out of the corner. I've read a lot of threads about these tires over on the Wing forum as well as the Vic forum long before I chose to go dark side and it's clear that different car tires will feel and perform differently and the pressures will vary. You may find you're not completely happy with that particular tire but don't judge them all by it if that's the case.

ya ... really figured my diagnosis was original ....

10a.) Asking if you can hold another man's tool is also wrong ....

FWIW, my entire head is bald .....

Found this "explanation" on another forum... hope it helps ya... chances are, the bad ground is on the signal lights themselves. You have power from the signal flasher that comes out of the + or positive terminal of the battery, and that is good. That power is trying to get back to the negative terminal of the battery --and it is searching for the quickest way FROM the light TO the battery. Trouble is,the ground wire from the signal light circuit is not there, and the power from the signal is just looking for any path it can find and that will flash backwards through any light circuit [that is not operating] to get back to the battery [-] terminal So much for theory, now how do you find the bad ground? First, take out the bulbs from the front or rear of the bike and see if the front or back signals now operate. Let's say that the front now works fine. Now you can concentrate on the rear, first by removing one bulb, then the other.Honda bulb sockets have ,I think a brown and green wire going to them. Any corroded or rusty connection of the socket thru the green [ground] wire back to the battery, including those little bullet connectors that link the various parts of the wiringharness together--- back to the frame and eventually to the [-] terminal of the battery can cause a "floating' ground to occur. The floating ground will go just about anywhere on the bike, flashing various lights like your example. You can carefully clean each connection and connector, and add a little 'light bulb or spark plug' grease sold in auto parts stores to keep the corrosion away and make the ground solid once again. A cheap multimeter set to continuity can also be used to find wires that have a broken connection. Keep in mind that eventually the green wire will be fastened to the frame of the bike and rust at that connection needs to be cleaned away as well.

something in the wiring somewhere would be my guess. Start at the connectors. Unplug, check for corrosion, clean, apply dielectric, reconnect and see what happens.

I've noticed recently that when I hover the mouse pointer over the subject of a thread in the "new posts" list, I get a popup showing First Post and Last Post. Used to only show the first post. is that something you purposely added @Freebird ? or is it a feature that came along with a software upgrade? NEAT! I like it!

Car Tires never howl...... FWIW though, my stock tires on the Vic never howled ... what pressure you running them at? 38 front and 40 rear is recommended. I changed my rear at 21,680 kms and the front at 32,000 kms ... probably could have put a few more kms on both.
