Good plan ... wish we could join ya but we expect to be in Florida from about Nov thru Jan. Might make Baja in March though ... we'll see how relations are with them and USA after Trump builds his wall LOL Now that I think of it, maybe we could fly over for a week .... hmmmm what to do with the dog???? So many decisions!

    Weather

It snowed overnight at my place (Surrey) .... well, technically I guess one could call it snow .... it was barely visible on the lawn. I'm downtown Vancouver at the moment and was just outside basking in the warmth of the sunshine. snow??? it's been gone for a couple weeks in some parts .... other areas not so. For instance, I ride the skytrain home from D/T Van to Surrey (appx 45 min ride). couple days ago I left work in full on sunshine, halfway home (Burnaby) there was maybe 1.5 inches of fresh snow, get to Surrey and it had been a tropical downpour with hail for maybe 2 or 3 minutes ... then clear and sunny LOL Forecast is for some snow this weekend. 13 years living in the Vancouver area and I've not seen "winter" weather this late in the season. Heck, most years I've been out riding on the weekends by now as the temps have been 10 celcius or better. Not so this year ... even if I had a bike to ride LOL
  10. Saw that one a few years back and use it as my defense regularly LOL

Sometimes it requires more than one A/V program to find and eradicate a virus. There have been times when I've used 3 different A/V progs to clean up a users computer.
  12. @cowpuc ..... as you may recall, I'd offered to put this entire story into a document complete with pictures for ya. Well I did get a lot of it done ... had bookmarks set for each picture and had saved somewhere around 250 pics. Some time between then and now I had a hard drive crash. Was certain all your "stuff" was saved to a different location, along with all my own "stuff" .... well for the life of me I can't find any of your stuff. Been looking and looking recently coz I really wanted to complete the project. IT AIN'T THERE NOWHERE!! However, I do have a couple "retired" hard drives which I haven't looked at yet so maybe..... just maybe ..... In any event, if it's all lost, I'm sorry bud... and just a little PO'd at myself for loosing all that work.
  13. cool ... I had one of those (a smaller one, not the same brand I don't believe) to park my Honda 1300 and my son's 1200 Sporty in a few years ago. Got it at Canadian Tire for just under $300. Seemed to hold up pretty good for a couple years. Then we moved, sold the Honda and my son took his bike elsewhere and I sold the shelter.

First of all, can you view your photos in Windows Photo Viewer or via Windows Explorer? If so, do they look OK there? If so .... Then I'd suggest backing up all your photos to a USB stick or some other external device and uninstall Lenovo Photomaster. Then just use Windows Photo Viewer or Windows Explorer. Sounds more like an issue with Photomaster. FWIW, Photomaster is just a photo organizer / cataloger.

If it's like the above, it could just be your settings....

Unless I'm mistaken, Lenovo is a computer manufacturer. So, where do you go to look at your pictures? Do you open Windows Explorer and click on Pictures? or do you go to them a different way such as in Windows 10 go to Start, All Apps, Photos and then they come up in a big screen that looks like this ....

Are you referring to the pics on your computer? If so, are you using a picture cataloging program or just Windows Explorer / Windows Picture Viewer?

It's probably true! Every month I get a paper statement from one of my CCs showing a $0.00 balance. I haven't used that CC for several months. What a waste of paper, processing, and postage, not to mention staff time.
  19. This is one time I hope the weatherman ... errr, I mean person ... is WRONG ... (aren't they usually? LOL)
  20. Condolences to Rick and family. I can't even imagine what such a thing would do to me if that happened.
  21. Keep in mind that Kretz is talking about the Lower Mainland area of the West Coast, and Vancouver Island. The interior areas of BC generally get "normal" winters and unlike Calgary, do not experience chinooks. As for this year, even those areas are getting hit harder than usual. OTOH, our mountains and ski hills get considerably more snow than you'll find most anywhere else, in some cases twice the amount of snowfall. The kind of snowfalls we've had around here this past week are commonplace in the interior. I've lived them for many years and quite frankly prefer it to day in and day out rain, rain, rain. That said, I'll take warm, dry weather any day! BTW, as of today there's twice the amount of snow as you see in my first pic.
  22. What set me off to this right away is anything that is sent out of the USA by USPS into Canada gets picked up by Canada Post and delivered here and yes, they also leave a notice on the door. Thing was about this is it went to my wife's email addy that she had at work ... but she's been retired since last September LOL Her replacement forwarded it to her home addy. I doubt her replacement had any idea what it was. If she did, she would have deleted it.
  23. My wife received the following email at her old work addy (which was forwarded to her home addy). If anyone gets a similar email, BEWARE because the link inside sends you direct to a virus and you will be infected.
