I got a free pack of smokes on Friday. I asked for 2 packs and I had also bought toothpaste and chapstick. Total came to $17.84 .... as I walked away I thought "hmmmm that doesn't add up" ... toothpaste was $5 something and chapstick was just under $3. Normally 2 packs of smokes add up to over $17. I like it when the mistake is in my favor!!

Up until Friday night, we hadn't seen any snow yet this winter. Woke up Saturday morning and that non-four-letter word "snow" turned into a BIG-FOUR-LETTER word!!! 5 inches of it and still counting. Had to drive to the airport (appx an hour) in a mess. Seems when we get snow around here, the highway maintenance crews are rarely prepared. Lucky for me I've spent most of my life in snow country but many around here are clueless ... as was evidenced by all the vehicles in the ditch enroute. Folks in the Vancouver area are just not accustomed to snow. We seem to get it "all at once" ... lasts for about a week, and then it's gone for another year.

Well, I was sure "fixated" on not going into the ditch like so many others did enroute to the Abbotsford airport Sat morning @4:30 .... 6 inches of snow turns the No 1 freeway into a real mess! (Nina's off to Saskabush to visit her mom).

With a little practise, you can get each of the 3 yellow dots to fade out, one at a time, and then fade back in again ... try it !

Took long enuf !! I'd bet if we reviewed each thread ever posted, we'd find that in almost every one there's a 1st gen/2nd gen "who's the fastest" comment.
