I still have my old Yashika FX-3 with 70-210 zoom lense with Macro. Bought it in 1976 but haven't used it in maybe 10 years tho. Loved experimenting with that camera. Tried practically every imaginable kind of shot including a single head shot pic of me but looking in 2 different directions. Thought for a while I might try and get into developing my own film but never did. The little sony digital I have takes nice pics but like Condor, I miss the ability to experiment with the pic. One day I will get a good SLR type digital that allows me to "play".

I doubt anyone could get a 1st gen, or 2nd gen, or for that matter pretty much any other big cc bike up to redline in top gear. I had my '85 up to just over 220 km/h (around 135 mph) and it wasn't at the redline. Could have maybe pushed it a bit faster but it was pretty much running out of "oooomph" by then.

Howard, I would hope he's got it figgured out by now since the thread started in Sept, 2008 and the last post before yours was Dec, 2008. But then, considering how complicated it is... maybe not!!

I agree and that's how I would have interpreted it ... but then again, I might have been ignorant of the real underlying implication ...

heck, I don't even have to think about some things and they come and bite me !!

Their intelligence is only gauged by their ability to substantiate their opinion and make a believer out of me .... in most cases, they FAIL !!

To a degree, yes. I really liked my RSMV but 2 things (well, maybe just one) caused me to sell it and buy the Wing. 1. It just didn't handle pulling the tent trailer that well thru the mountains and I can't go anywhere around here without encountering mountain roads. 2. I got tired of the persistent clutch basket whine. Number 1 was the main reason for switching. That said, if I wasn't pulling that tent trailer, I probably would have eventually switched to either a Victory CCT or an Electra Ultra. Now, some would probably say they have no problems pulling their trailer with their RSV but frankly, if you've never ridden a Wing and pulled the same trailer, you can't say you have no problems ... you just don't realize you have them. The difference is night and day. I found I really had to "work" at driving the RSMV when pulling the trailer thru the mountains. We plan on using the tent trailer a lot once we retire and I don't want to spoil the experience by not feeling good about driving from A to B.

see.... I can sit here and razz either 1st or 2nd genners coz I ride neither ... ohhh I am having so much fun!!!
-
ahem ... yes, while you 1st genners sit there "thinking" about this (as you repair yet another problem on your antequated 1st gen), the 2nd genners will be out cruisin the twisties on our "hardley wannabes" ....
