  1. I don't think there is a day goes by that I don't learn something new on this site... "lutefisk" ... never heard of it before.... It is made from aged stockfish (air-dried whitefish) or dried/salted whitefish (klippfisk) and lye (lut). It is gelatinous in texture, and has an extremely strong, pungent odor. Its name literally means "lye fish."
  2. Most of what you say is true but there is a specific person on this site that I will never trust....
  3. I've flagged this thread as SPAM!
  4. not to worry, I saved it and will send you a copy (for a small fee of course)
  5. The "Midnight" ones are more powerful and therefore faster than all the others. While at a standstill, this comparison cannot be seen. Once moving, it is obvious because you'll always be looking at the back end of the Midnight ones as they rapidly disappear from view....
  6. Not sure how you inserted those pics but they don't show up.
  7. As others have stated, a worn rear tire will make the scoot wiggle all over. If, after replacing the tire, the wiggling is still happening, it's probably either front end bearings or swing arm bushings or fork brace/fork mis-alignment. Change the tire first!

I rode Feb 4 & 5 but it's been lousy since then. Temps are well below average for this time of year and nuthin but RAIN Wife flew out to Saskatchewan this morning and they're predicting highs of 15 by Friday ... sunny all week long.
  9. Just remember .... ... when you get a chance of course!

  11. My wife saw this thread and hollered "Honey, come here, you need to check this thread out ... it is about you!" ....
  12. SOME of the people?? Of all those on this site that I've met, there are only two that would not scare the crap outta me at 3 AM nekkid .... one of them is that ugly bugga in da mirror...
  13. You haven't ridden a Vision yet but you're making a deal on it? Not really? You're going to ride it first before signing on the dotted line right?
  14. Now we just don't say that anymore yanno ... they are now referred to as Indigenous Peoples
  15. ya... that got me to wondering too. I test rode a Vision a couple years back and the first thing I did was see how it handled in the parking lot... wayyyyyy easier than the RSV was.. for me at least. The CCT would be my 1st choice tho
  16. Too late!!! I just bought it.
  17. An interesting story I just read regarding Canadian tourists in Mexico... http://news.ca.msn.com/top-stories/reality-check-how-dangerous-is-mexico-for-canadian-tourists-1
  18. My '06 RSMV had the clutch gear whine. Had the basket changed under warranty. Helped some but it was still there. I don't think mine was as bad as some. Others don't have it at all. My advice is if you can take it out for a nice long ride for a day, you will soon enough know if it has the whine and if it bothers you. Truth is, they are an awesome machine and every scoot out there has some kind of "issue". Even my Wing ... aside from the fact that it is a crotch rocket in a Cadillac shell, it too has a whine. Some have it, some don't... just like the Venture. This whine, fortunately, is only noticeable from idle up thru to 2nd gear... after that, you don't even know it's there. It's caused by the alternator gear drive ... which incidentally (as I am to understand it) is straight-cut gears. At least on the Venture, it's an easy swap of the clutch basket... on the Wing, ya gotta pull the engine. As for having carbs versus fuel injection ... so what? A little more maintenance over the long haul but carbs have been in use for eons ... there's nothing really wrong with having them IMO. Good luck!
  19. so, you're saying that she normally pays for "it" ....
  20. Thanks... a good reminder to me to start buying gas at Super-Store as they give discounts on gas based on dollor value of food purchased.
  21. here we go again... another disillusioned American ...
  22. ya ... I like to drag my fingernails while moving ... saves using a nailclipper!
  23. Current gas price in Vancouver, BC Canada converted to US gallons = $5.16/gal Converted to UK gallons (which would be what we would use) = $6.20/gal Arentcha PO'd that your gas prices are lower than ours?
  24. Curious what your thoughts are about the demo ride.
