1. To be honest, I can't play worth a hoot but I tell ya, if I had the bucks I'd have me one of those just coz. Besides, a guy deserves to spend some bucks on something really nice for himself!
2. Wife and I tested one back in '09 when they came out. Seemed ok to drive. Seemed to vibrate a lot under load. Wife didn't like the lack of space between me 'n the trunk (her area). Saddlebag lids seemed kinda crappy. Plastic seemed a bit thinner than most other bikes. Power was not impressive. They do have a nice look to them tho ... but I sure wouldn't want one. I'd take a Victory CCT any day over the Kaw Voyager (or even an RSV)
3. Did that on my '87 and never noticed much difference, if any. I only had stock muffs on it.
4. The "off-the-shelf" one is a whole hunnerd bucks less than the Taylor here at L&McQ. If I don't learn how to play a LOT better, the wife will never let me get one of those .... regardless of that neither will my pocket book. But is shore is a sweet geetar!
5. Dunno what those are worth down there but here they sell for $2975.00 at Long & McQuade ... man, a guy could buy hisself a pretty decent 1st gen for that kinda money (but why would he).
6. Roads = place where 2nd gens are usually seen (as opposed to garages)

New Scoot

ssssssssssssssssssweet! here's the one I wanted to buy last fall but somebody spoke for it before me...
8. RSMV = Royal Star Midnight Venture (the fastest ones) ATGATT = All The Gear All The Time Yammi = Yamaha Wally World = some place where they seem to have everything except here in Canada
9. It only works the headset. As for the air suspension, I believe it is in the manual but .... max 7 Lbs front and I think 50 or so rear. Use a hand pump only. You can get one called a "Progressive" ... the Harley dealers have them although they are available elsewhere. Many of us ran zero in front and appx 35-40 in rear.
10. or here... http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/ and yet another... http://forums.delphiforums.com/GoldWingII/start FWIW ... I posted the Q on GL1800Riders.com and within seconds had several answers.
11. That's true!! That's not necessarilly true. A dedicated Wing forum will have folks who know wings inside and out for many, many years and have posted tons of technical info. Similar to how this forum is with the Venture.
12. The kid sure has a knack ... I've never seen flying like that. He's gotta have that plane rigged special somehow.
13. There's lots of "Wingers" here that can help but I also use GL eighteen hundred riders dot com (can I post this here?) .... watch out for the "flamers" over there tho. For the most part, it's a good site.

15. Welcome aboard!!! and the feedback just might be a bit biased! LOL
16. That kinda depends on the grade of the hill .... On normal grades, it shouldn't be doing this. If the bike has sat for a long time, you should run a can of sea foam through the gas. If that doesn't cure it and if you've had the carbs balanced, I'd be taking that back to the dealer too! They sold you a supposedly "The dealer represented the bike as a one owner bike which was in perfect running condition " ... then that dealer should stand behind his statement and make it so IMHO. Dang, I hate to see someone get the "Royal Runaround" and because of that, be turned off to these great bikes.
17. Yep! ... all day Saturday and for a couple hours Sunday morning. Wanted to stay out riding all day Sunday but we'd already commited to having the daughter and her b/f over for the afternoon and I worked on his "antique" Vespa scooter to try and get it running. Got it going alright but a lot of coughing, spitting and sputtering when under load. Decided to leave it for another day but I figgure it needs a good tuneup and carb overhaul.
18. My '85 used to whine right between 2900 and 3100 rpm .... hated it.
19. As others have stated, since it is under warranty, have a dealer install an "I" basket. Be sure and verify yourself that it's an "I" basket that they are installing as they might attempt to put in a "G" basket (as they did on mine). Keep in mind that this MAY NOT recify the problem. It's not a sure-fire fix in every instance and may only move the whine to a different RPM. Good luck!
20. While you sat on the sundeck, we rode ... left the house @ 9:30AM and didn't get home till 5:30PM !!! WoooooooooHoooooooo ... MAN that felt GREAT!! Stopped at Whiterock for a beer and some appy's and cracked my head open on a hanging wooden flowerpot / light fixture of some sort ... nuthin serious but drew blood pretty good.... got the meal 'n beer free. Thankfully all these brains in here prevented serious damage!!
21. Wife's mom just passed away a week ago, she was 88. For the past 6 years I have been promising her a ride on the scoot ... we just didn't get that opportunity. Wish we had!
22. Thanks M8T ... we're expecting a high of 12 celcius (54 f) today and clear skies ... currently it is 1 celcius (34 f) . T-shirt and shorts weather for us LOL
23. I've had it now since Feb 5th ... which was the last time I took the medication ... but then the disease came back and it's really been rough these past few weeks... cold weather, rain, snow, wind .... I just haven't been able to get out and take the medication. But today .... ahhhhhhh yes, I will get a big dose of the meds today and maybe even tomorrow and hopefully this PMS will be GONE for the balance of the year!!
