    Who's comparing ... and who cares ... it's all a lotta kibitzing. On that note, I'd like to see a V-rod try to outrun a 1st gen, a 2nd gen, or a Wing on the twisties ... ain't gonna happen! It's sole purpose is to get from one Harley bar to the other faster. (more kibitzing)

    Good point! ... it's not just the Harleys that have loud pipes. In fact, they could be Yamaha V*'s, Victorys, Kawas, and a few others. We shouldn't be singling out the Harleys on this one.

    puffing blue on startup generally indicates valve oil seals leaking a bit. nothing to be concerned about unless it's excessive.

I really don't understand it ... especially for the most recent one which was my own thread that has no posts other than my own. ?????????????????

    This is not the first time they've done this kind of thing. I read a while ago about this guy who'd put a zillion +/- miles on his HD ... and they gave him a brand new one. Wish I could find that story. I'd bet they've done things such as this several times. Let's face it ... there's really no other motocycle company like 'em.
