1. That top one would be great for pulling out nose hairs!
2. I had a relatively inexpensive radar detector in my vehicle back in the mid 90's. It saved my butt several times. I remember one instance when it started bleeping, I was on a fairly open highway, long straight stretch with a sweeping right corner at the end of the straight, trees blocked vision of whatever was around that corner. No vehicles in sight but when it bleeped, I slowed down and sure enough, around the corner was a LEO travelling towards me. I don't bother with radar detectors anymore simply because I don't speed anymore....
3. Under the "Eligibility" section for the price match guarantee it states... In order to verify current pricing and availability, price match requests must be received prior to ordering Did you do this???? It also goes on to state... Motorcycle Superstore reserves the right to approve or deny price match requests at its discretion. Lowest Price Guarantee may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice With their "disclaimers", one might wonder why they bother to advertise a price match guarantee as it appears they have covered enough bases to not honour that statement under most, if not all, conditions. It's kind of a false advertisement if you ask me. That said, it would not stop me from ordering from them.
4. Kruis'n the Kootenays Motorcycle Rally I hope you have your reservations made and the GPS's configured, as we are getting close to needing numbers for the New Grand's Catering Dept. so we will need to know fairly close numbers of how many we will be feeding for the hosted meals. If your plans are still up in the air but you think you still may want to come please drop us a msg so we can talk. Looking forward to getting those roads all rode on and meeting all you folks!
5. I like to cruise and see the scenery most of the time but there are also times when I'm feeling like Mario Andretti ... especially on roads I've travelled on a lot and know the curves very well.
6. If so, it wouldn't be Doggie Dodo .... coz Eck already found that ...
7. That's sad news for young Mario .. he's become quite the "celebrity" around here... as you know he is a local here. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/more-sports/the-magic-hands-of-mario-gutierrez/article4241025/?service=mobile
8. I'm standing outside my building where I work, having a smoke and people watching. This is a highrise office tower, downtown Vancouver. It has this decorative "moat" of water that wraps around the front of the building, bordered by a small flower bed and concrete "bridges" to access the building. A courier guy comes out of the side door where I'm standing (no moat there) and walks towards the front of the building.... as he's walking, he's texting and obviously not paying attention .... misses the bridge and walks right into the moat! Gets out of the water, soaking wet ... and continues walking and texting!
9. "Every day I get up and look through the Forbes list of the richest people in America. If I'm not there, I go to work." -Robert Orben
10. Sounds like an underhanded operation to me. Let's see... District attorney Local police chief Local radio station Local newspapers Dealer network head honcho It would seem to me that any such loaner vehicles MUST have insurance coverage. This situation sukz .. hope it all works out for you and PDQ!
11. heh... I been asking (and getting) a senior discount now for 2 years (when I could get away with it) LOL As for catching up to you .... I thought it was the other way 'round...
12. Now who said anything about "OLD" (not me) ... SENIOR does not imply OLD
13. Is it just coincidence that you guys are posting all these senior jokes now that I am officially a senior or what??
14. WOW now there's a QC screwup! As for those arm rests, I always felt they stood out like a sore thumb... like they were added on as an after thought but extending the paint scheme from the trunk onto them blends them into the trunk and they appear as an intregal part of it.
15. Here's a pic of a very nice looking RSV ... but there is something wrong with it (hope ya don't mind me snagging the pic from the MD posting). In fact, every 2-colored RSV has the same thing wrong with them (at least IMO). Take a look ... can you see it? Now scroll down and you'll see what I'm talking about. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Waddya think? I've not once yet seen where anyone has made this color change mod yet it's probably one of the first things I would have done.
16. Someone sent me this one ... apparently it has eyes and breaths fire too!!
17. You'll never be able to detect mine... I use Corel Photopaint ..... (oh geeeez ... )
18. It appears there is a whole "pod" of them "poopers" ...

21. Here are some "reviews" from guys on the Goldwing site that have either moved to a Victory or are considering it. Maybe this will help and further address the V-twin versus V-four and liquid cooled versus oil cooled situation. http://gl1800riders.com/forums/showthread.php?317246-Thinking-of-Trading-my-Wing-for-a-new-Victory-Vision&highlight=victory http://gl1800riders.com/forums/showthread.php?316899-Reporting-on-Vision-as-promised&highlight=victory http://gl1800riders.com/forums/showthread.php?308337-Cross-Country-Tour-vrs-Wing&highlight=victory
22. Now that I can debate ... but I won't hijack this thread.
23. Are we talking cost of OWNERSHIP or cost of MAINTENANCE here? Ownership includes the cost of the vehicle, insurance, etc PLUS the maintenance and repairs MINUS what you sell it for. I'd rather see a cost of "ownership" comparison of similar bikes such as Harley Ultra, Victory Vision, Goldwing, etc, etc. over a 5 year period.

regardless of proprietary or not, the key is tied to the OS, not the hardware so a valid key would work. As for proprietary Windows OS, Windows itself is not but some PC manufacturers will create a "restore" or "reinstallation" CD and that could be specific to the PC hardware itself. If you have just a WinXP CD, install from it only. You should be able to boot from the CD and follow the on-screen prompts. During that process, it should display info about what partition to use ... in your case you'd tell it to use the existing C drive partition and then have it reformat (as opposed to installing a new, second OS on the same drive). heck, if you were here, I could "lend" you a WinXP CD as I only have about 50 of them LOL
