Every day we hope to not hear of such news. Every time we ride we hope to return home safe. Nina & I wish you a speedy recovery Larry.

Just got home from an awesome overnighter to the Okanagan. Amazed that the weather is still so awesome to do such a ride. Beautiful sunny skies and warm temps were perfect for a most enjoyable trip. Stopped at Keremeos for some fresh fruit 'n veggies at one of their local markets and snapped a few pics... I saw that... it's not the LED one as posted by the OP. SKU's are different and so is the model # LED item ... Both lights offer a spot-to-flood LED beam One you linked to .... Both Flashlights offer a High Intensity light beam

push left to go left.... push right to go right .... is commonly known as "counter steering". It's "counter" because if you push left, the wheel will turn towards the right... normally if the wheel turns to the right, you'd go right ... in a cage, or at slow speeds on a scoot.... but once you're above appx 10 or 15 mph, counter steering comes into play. If you use counter steering (instead of leaning) you'll find it much easier to ride ... let your body stay perpendicular with the bike and use counter steering to control direction, the bike will lean on it's own.

If they only make them for Harley, they will fit at the pipe connection but you will probably have to fabricate a bracket similar to what is used for the Road King slash-cut pipes. I'm pretty sure that any muffler designed for the Harley baggers (Electra, Road Glide, Road King, etc) will fit to the Yamaha pipe.

Really Joe ... do we really wanna see a pic of THAT?

In Memphis, Tenn., New Orleans, La., and Alabama, it's against the law for a woman to drive a car unless there is a man either running or walking in front of it waving a red flag to warn approaching motorists and pedestrians. (This is not a bad idea in some cases..) Although women in Saudi Arabia got the right to vote in 2009, they still aren't allowed to drive a car. (I'll repeat the above... This is not a bad idea in some cases..) In San Francisco, Calif., it is illegal to wipe one's car with used underwear. (now that's downright sh*tty...) To limit road kill in Pennsylvania, driving along a country road at night requires drivers to stop every mile, send up a rocket signal and wait 10 minutes for the road to be cleared of livestock, before continuing along the route. (I heard livvin in Pennsylvania was a very "slow pace") In Sarasota, Fla., drivers are discouraged not to hit pedestrians (or you'll be fined $78). (heck, there's a few times I wouldn't mind payin...) In California, it's against the law to shoot at wild game from a moving vehicle, unless the target is a whale. (seriously...??? LOL) In Wichita, Kansas, drivers are required to get out of their vehicle and fire three shot gun rounds into the air before proceeding through the intersection of Douglas and Broadway. (just make sure you don't hit any wild game....unless it's an whale... oh, that's in California ... never mind!) In Montreal, you may not park a car in such a way that it blocks your own driveway. (.... and prevent your spouses lover from escaping...) While some get a thrill from making out in cars, Massachusetts' law prohibits taxi drivers from having sexy time in the front row if they happen to be working (dumbass driver forgot to book off shift....) It's illegal to molest a car in Clinton, Okla. (now ya gotta be some serious weirdo to get arrested for that!) In California, no vehicle without a driver may exceed 96 km/h an hour. (... or it will be sentenced to public molestation.) If you have been convicted of driving while intoxicated in New Jersey, you'll no longer be eligible to apply for personalized license plates. (now here's a law that should be everywhere ... it would immediately put an end to DUI's ... or personalized lic plates...) Women can't wear a housecoat while behind the wheel in California. (fine... dump the houscoat ) In South Carolina it is illegal to display a replica of testicles on a vehicle. (real ones are ok though...)

gear jump under acceleration
SilvrT replied to Pernese's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
ya, I wondered about that too. I'm also now confused whether it's actually jumping a gear or just "jumping something" within the same gear.- 28 replies

gear jump under acceleration
SilvrT replied to Pernese's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
You pulled the driveshaft out and inspected the splines on both ends? My '85 started doing similar and what I found (after it stripped them completely) was the splines were totally rusted out. I'm talking about the inner splines in the pumpkin where the driveshaft goes into the pinion gear.- 28 replies

I think they wanted to give those Hardley folks something familiar when they jumped ship to the CCT LOL! Having ridden the CCT, I never even realized it wasn't hydraulic at the time.
-
I gotta agree with your writeup about the Voyager and the Vision and I've ridden both and found much the same ... especially the vibration in the Voyager. No, the Harley EG Ultra or RoadGlides do not vibrate at all once moving... only when stopped and at idle. That said tho, and I've ridden both several times on their "demo days", I've always found I liked the EG Ultra better than the RoadGlide. Check out that CCT before you make a decision ... it will be worth your time.
-
You should also try the Victory Cross Country Tour. It's more "in-line" with the Yamaha and Kowa Saki . Having ridden all of them myself, including the Vision, my fav is the CCT ... but I'm not trying to influence you in any specific direction... Looking fwd to your report.

No English dictionary has been able to explain the difference between the two words 'complete' and 'finished' in a way that's so easy to understand: Some people say there is no difference between COMPLETE & FINISHED but, there is an explanation… When you marry the right one, you are COMPLETE... And when you marry the wrong one, you are FINISHED... And when the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are... COMPLETELY FINISHED !!!
