heh, some of you Texans crack me up that you think your state is so damned big. The province of British Columbia, Canada is bigger and it's not even the biggest province in Canada.

heh ... as the old saying goes, "it's all in the eye of the beholder". To me, a nice, clean, shiney vehicle suggests that "that person takes care of his 'stuff' and takes pride in it". As for "cleaning every other day", heck, I would wash and polish and buff my RSMV almost every time I took it for a ride and if it was an over nighter or other long trip, I would at minimum give it a good wipe down before leaving the next morning. I absolutely HATE a dirty looking bike ... it suggests an "I don't give a damn about it" attitude.

WOW ... hey, I asked an honest question ... I simply did not know it would be that much more difficult. Frankly, I still don't see it as being an overly difficult task ... no more than washing the wheels themselves. You do wash your wheels, don't you? Well, maybe not ... I guess that too is a personal preference. FWIW, I personally don't care for ww's on M/C's ...

What's the big difference between keeping white wall tires clean on a motorcycle versus a car?? Years ago, whitwalls (on cars) were THE thing. Heck, I never had trouble keeping them clean ... a little Fantastik and a scrub brush when ya wash it and they're like new. Even old, dingy whitewall came out looking pretty good that way.

There is (or was) a member here that runs a 170 but I can't recall who. I had discussed it with him quite some time ago but unfortunately I have cleaned out my messages inbox. Anyhoo, he runs one and if I recall correctly, the fender bracket needed to have appx 1/8 or 1/4 inch of metal shaved off to provide sufficient clearance. Other than that, it seemed to me to be a "tight squeeze" but did work. I never went ahead with it; however, was seriously considering it.

And, at this end, the closest "small crossing" is so far away that there is no advantage to use it.

OK ... like ... I have this like "pet peeve". Like, why is it that so many of the younger generation, like if not all of them, have adopted inserting the word "like" into a covo. Like do they ever, like I mean you know, like .... listen to themselves? It's like an epidemic or something. Can you like imagine our politicians of like the future during a like campaign speech? Like ... what's your uhh ... like "Pet Peeve" ??

Just don't let the younger folk on here... every second or third word out of their mouth is "like" .... we'd have so many "likes" we'd begin to be dis-liked! ... Like

I always click on "New Posts". It's easy to see what forum they are in plus when you hover your mouse over the subject, you get a popup showing the first sentence or two of the thread.

Wish I could but work takes up my week days and it's really slow right now so I am just "inventing" things to do .... and that one seemed a worthwhile topic for interesting feedback. Now if it would only stop RAINING on the weekends ..... well heck, I did get out for a ride last Saturday ... first one this year! Cured the PMS temporarilly.

I go thru a large bag of English Mints a week ... ain't gained or lost a pound in 30 years ... I have noticed that any excess "fat" from my upper body has managed to slide down to my mid section though!!
