I always thought mine was. I've had an '85 and an '87 and neither seemed as noisy as my '06 did. Was told it's just how they sound. However, without us actually hearing yours, it's hard to give an accurate answer. Any possibility you could post some sound files or vids with sound??

No idea what you're going there for; however, my advice is to be prepared with as much factual documentation as you can get. When asked questions, don't offer up any more information than is necessary ... stay calm and don't let emotions dictate your responses.

Ya, I'm famous for my "short cuts" ... seems to me last time Kevin & Lori rode with me I took a "short cut" and we all wound up taking a "scenic route" The problem this time was the NEW freeway exit was on the LEFT side and not clearly marked and I'd not taken that route before. As it was though, Kevin got to road test his new scoot over quite a variety of road and riding conditions. I was impressed that he was able to keep up with me Glad you made it home ok. EDIT: Googled the new South Fraser Perimeter route (the one I wanted to take) and found that the exit off the freeway was in a totally different place than I expected it to be so, it wasn't the LEFT exit that I thought. Think I'll take a ride out there today and get familiar with it

I'm sure this can be found with a search but I seem to recall someone recently asking about either making their own or wanting info on stock size, etc so, posting here for their reference. http://www.venturerider.org/dogbones/dogbones.htm http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49058

Maxthon has been around a bit longer than FireFox but a lot of folks don't know. It's was originally known as MyIE2 and I've been using it since then which was about 2003. Granted, FireFox is a spin-off of Netscape Navigator which of course was one of the first popular browsers. Maxthon has been a "leader" in some of the features that it took both FireFox, IE and the others a while to catch up to. 2011- Maxthon forges new distribution partnerships with Fuhu and Kingston. 2011- Maxthon Android Browser for Tablets is released. 2010- Maxthon for Android reinvents touch screen mobile browsing. Maxthon browser reaches 500,000,000 downloads. 2009- Maxthon 3 for desktop debuts and is chosen to appear on the European ´browser ballot´ screen. 2008- Maxthon becomes the first browser to offer cloud-based services for syncing bookmarks and history. 2007- Maxthon becomes the first browser to offer sandboxed tabs for added security. Maxthon wins its second Webware 100 Award, defeating all other browsers. 2006- Maxthon partners with Google, Microsoft, Baidu and Yandex. 2005- Maxthon becomes the first browser with tabs. 2004- MyIE2 becomes Maxthon, expanding the public’s expectations of the true power of an innovative browser. 2003- MyIE2 redefines browsing.

There are 3 features I've always liked about Maxthon; 1. if you drag a link with your mouse, even just a little bit, it will open it in a new tab. 2. if you click on a new (blank) tab, you get a screen where you can save your most used websites and in Maxthon Cloud, you now get 4 pages 3. Magic Fill saves your login info for sites you frequently log into.

I've been using this product for several years and have always found it to be my fav. Well, they have a new version out now so thought maybe some of you would be into checking it out as an alternative to whatever you're now using. You might have but by 14 posts, I've forgotten So did that work for you ... your speed is up where it should be now? -
Just to clarify, mine wasn't "inside" the fairing.... just the antenna wire was. The actual antenna was visible between the base of the windscreen and the dash. I'll get some pics for you later.
-
I had it on my '06 RSMV. Mounted the antenna on the dash just where it meets the windscreen. Ran the wire inside the fairing. Connected it to the stereo via a Y-cord inside the fairing. Used the "Car Kit" and mounted it using the air duct adapter onto the speaker grille. Have some pics at home, will post later. Now on the Wing, I mounted the antenna on a home-made bracket connected to the right handle bar controls. The receiver is mounted on the centre of the shelter, just between the radio controls and the ignition. Again, pics at home. Been using XM/Sirius for several years ... enjoy the choices and don't have much issue with signal loss.

RJ45 to be exact. You should be using Cat5 RJ45 minimum. The reason maybe your dropping speed thru the router is you're probably getting 1Gb connectivity direct PC to Modem and the router maybe only good for 100Mb. Just a thought. -

What are you using to test your speed? I use this ... http://www.speedtest.net/ Keep in mind that speed is also dependant on what server is being pinged and how many hops might take place inbetween. For example, I just did a tracert to google.com and it took 6 hops to get there. I also agree with Carlos -

I just called our City Engineering dept who is in charge of such things and they didn't know... so they called the government recycling people and apparently old helmets are NOT recyclable (at least here) because they are made up of so many different materials ... they are "just garbage" they say. fwiw, the City of Burnaby (where I live) has a very good and modern recycling program.
