1. yes, I have a solution ... STOP EATING BEANS !
2. yeah and she's really screwing up the weather forecasters (as if they aren't screwed up already:rotf:) . Forecast this morning was for cloudy with sunny periods, high 14 celcius and 30% chance of precip. We headed out on the scoot around 11am, temp around 12 celcius .... 1/2 hr later, it started to drizzle ... so we went to the Harley Demo days (which got cancelled) and by the time we got there, it was raining steady. As there was lots going on, we hung around for a couple hours kinda waiting for the rain to stop ... nada ... so we hopped on the bike and headed for home ... heavier rain... hail ... and the temps have dropped to 6 celcius. Got home a little cold and a little wet to say the least. Oh well, we lucked out anyway as they were having a 50/50 draw so Nina bought a strip for $10 ... and WON $174.50 !!! On top of that, she got a free massage.
3. I believe there is also an issue of the Y-pipe cracking ... might want to check into that. I remember hearing that "back fire" and if that's what you are still having, then it's probably sucking air somewhere in the exhaust and that is causing the gasses inside to explode.
4. Send me the money and I'll go do the bidding for you....
5. Nope ... there is enough slack in the cables although you will have to stretch them a tad (take up the slack). Some have even re-routed the cables slightly but I didn't have to.
6. Just proves that us BCers know a good scoot when we see one
7. Here's some pics of when I did my risers... Place towel over gas tank and remove bolts While holding the bars, slide first riser in from the side Use a bit of blue loctite on the bolt threads Put the cap back on and get the bolts started Slide the other riser in from the side Tighten it all up and you're done
8. David, that '85 Venture got ya hooked on these V4's it seems? Was it this one?
9. I shipped some of my old pants to a charity ....
10. I looked at those pics in their "full size" mode when he posted the ad so it was working at one time.
11. hey!!! I resemble that remark !
12. I think we're in this thread somewhere but what the heck, here's another of me and Nina while we were attending a "going away" party a week ago for a staff member.
13. Same thing for me on Miles' listing so Jack, looks like your not going crazy after all ....
14. heh ... it's easier to paint the grass than it is to mow it... which I've done twice already this spring
15. That sounds like some very good control you had ... didn't panic, kept your head clear and rode your way out of what could have been a real bad situation! Not everyone can do that. That "first time" scraping of the pegs or floorboards can be a little unnerving and when it happens, it's common to over react ... even if the slightest ... and then we get into a situation that could turn ugly if we go into panic mode. Experience becomes our savior. Glad to hear you made it through that relatively unscathed.
16. Didn't happen to me but maybe it's "ad specific" ?? Which ad Jack?
17. woohooo ... who who ??
18. That's not even close to what I have been calling a "doohickey" all these years
19. I belong to a local club (not STAR) and our annual membership is at least 3 times what we pay to be on here and what is said above is the reason ... it's much more than just an on-line forum and it costs money to run these clubs. None of the elected officials get paid for what they do.
20. Same with me. Also, get yourself a lighter helmet. Get a carbon fiber one if you can ... those things are so light it's ridiculous. DON'T buy the Voyager is MHO
