1. Heck, why bother preparing .... we'll just go to the nearest food, clothing, and shelter bank ... they're everywhere nowadays ..
2. Now who goes around smelling their air filter ...
3. Mazola cooking oil works very well too ....
4. Did a google search and came up with... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080615191503AAaHhhM http://www.dr-lex.be/info-stuff/mediaformats.html Hope this helps some...
5. Congrats ... does it seem that long or does it seem less? I'm coming up 7 years with my wife ... and it seems more like 14 ... maybe more. I guess when you get with the right one, everything in the past disappears (was 28 years with the ex ).
6. Go to an auto body paint supplier (jobber that supplies body shops with paint and other materials) ... specifically one that has a "rattle can" filler system. They can match the paint and put it into a rattle can and you're good to go.
7. Miles, if nobody shows, just have "their food" put into a doggie bag and I'll eat it when I come down on the 11th
8. Yes, there is a "trick" or 2 ... Remove the dampener (there's a snap ring that holds it in) and clean the 5 pins ... use some emery cloth to buff them up and wrap some of it around a metal coat hanger that you've bent a "hook" on the end and clean out the holes they go into. See this thread --> http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13263 Then Lube the pins with Honda Moly 60 grease and reinstall. Then clean those splines on the wheel and the pumpkin and lube them with the same grease. Before inserting the axle, loosen the 4 acorn nuts that hold the pumpkin onto the driveshaft shaft. Don't need to loosen them much... just enough to give some slack. This will make the axle go in easier and align it better. Install the rest of the components and tighten the axle .... then tighten those acorn nuts. Use a torque wrench on the axle nut. Here's some more info and pics -->> http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=515
9. ya, just think, you get more for your buck up here ... (did I just open a can of worms?)
10. oh well ... I guess at least ONE person doesn't like it ... (just razzin ya) 'tis true tho, not everyone is going to like the looks of any specific whatever. Personally, I like not just the looks of the CCT but also it's features, performance, handling, ... the list goes on ... wish the heck I could afford one and that's the ONLY thing I can honestly say I don't like about them LOL
11. Victory Vision (Batman bike) Victory CCT (clean looking, uncluttered lines)
12. That's it buddy ... no more free BBQ'd steak for you! LOL (ribs instead?)
13. So all that is saying is, The Victory can get going quicker at a lower rpm but can't go as fast as the RSV .... Based on some research I just did, it seems your stats are incorrect for the Victory... " Its maximum output is rated at 97 hp @ 5000 rpm and 113 lb.ft of torque achieved at 4300 rpm" EDIT: I found those same specs as you posted elsewhere so, some sites say 97hp/113 torque and then there's 88/105 ... could that be at the wheel maybe? All I can say is I rode one and they haul a$$ pretty good.
14. Are y'all thinkin about the Vision? The CCT isn't any uglier than a Harley electra or a RSV IMO
15. What a novel idea to get folks chasin after ya ... offer them a free meal! Miles should change his nick to "Pied Piper"
16. and they are both 4-letter words starting with " F " ...
17. hmmmmmmmm ... free food eh ... ok, I'm gonna follow this guy wherever he goes ...
18. And all the while I was at the swap meet yesterday, and then a nice ride down to White Rock, under a beautiful blue sky I remembered Miles's promise that it would be a warm, sunny weekend ... and he delivered, at least for 3/4 of a day here yesterday! Thanks Miles for "opening the skies" for me and Nina to attend that swap meet instead of riding all the way to your area and getting soaked.
19. Out for a ride today we had to detour due to an accident scene. Later at home, on the news, we heard that a vehicle, at a high rate of speed, ran a red light ... 5 dead (3 adults and 2 kids) ... the driver was the only survivor. Texting maybe??? http://globalnews.ca/news/517463/crash-in-surrey-closes-intersection-near-u-s-border/
20. ya ya ya ... ain't nuttin you can do to make me feel bad and hey ... "trouble" is my middle name Miles, you could move it off to some other weekend when "a lot of those other riders" can make it ... you don't have to hold it to May 11th JUST FOR ME yanno ... Saturday here was cool and RAIN .... wasn't no way I was gonna get all wet over you buddy!
21. I bet he was excited! Hope to see him sometime this summer.
22. Are you talking about the Harley with all the "girlie" stuff on it? .... you should see the GUY that rides it LMAO!

24. Basic 1 mil 3rd party: $794 I don't buy anything more than basic insurance from ICBC (govn't ins co) coz I get the rest from a private carrier. All Perils coverage with $1000 deductible from the priv ins co costs me $288/yr
