  1. dang Miles ... how do you know these things ???
  2. heh ... ain't that the truth!! As Nina says .. "he's gotta have a 'project'" LOL
  3. Nice lookin scoot! I'll have pics next week of mine.
  4. I've seriously looked at the Ultra for several years and almost bought one when the 2009 model came out but at the time I couldn't financially justify the expense so I bought the RSMV. In hindsight I probably should have done it but, all things work out the way they are meant to. I've been looking at these CCT's for a couple years now, have done a lot of research, and have demo'd them 5 different times over those 2 years ... and it took some number crunching to convince myself that I could swing it ... and we did! This will no doubt be the last motorcycle I will ever purchase (unless I win the lotto LOL)
  5. Kevin, as long as my days at work are like they often times are (I sit there and do no real work mostly), I play here LOL so yes, you'll prolly see as much of me as always.
  6. yup... rode it for a year and a half and got what I paid for it on trade.
  7. Not to worry, this forum has become a second home. That said, I might not be seen here much over the coming months coz I'll be too busy RIDING THE NEW SCOOT!!!
  8. LOL... well to be honest, I really had not planned on making a deal today .. or for that matter, at all coz I really thought the warden would not go along with my "wish" .... but to my surprise, she loved the bike and the ride and then it was a done deal! Aside from that, we no sooner got home this afternoon and it started rainng... HEAVY ... and we both imagined had we attended the M&E and came back today... about that time we'd be sitting in an hour long lineup at the border getting soaked. Hope y'all had a great time tho!
  9. Brian, IMHO Nina is one of a kind and "my kind of woman" ... far more than I ever imagined. Sorry, only 4 brothers and as I know you, I know that wouldn't work for ya ..
  10. Well, that would be cool !!
  11. Yes, it will tow the trailer even better than the RSMV did because the bike feels so much lighter to handle... even more so than the Wing and has as much or more power than the RSV (IMO). Sadly to say, there is no cassette deck but that doesn't matter because I don't think I have a cassette tape anywhere anymore LOL
  12. As a followup to this thread ... http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=78221 We are now the proud owners of a brand new RED 2013 Victory CCT. Will be picking it up at the earliest Tuesday afternoon. Pics to follow then. :sign woo hoo: Traded the Wing in and got as much as I paid for it a year and a half ago. Nina absolutely loves the Vic!!
  13. OK, sorry to say, none of your "offerings" albeit there were some good ones, were put to use. I came up with my own.... Took her out to the dealer and we went for a ride .... and to my surprise, she absolutely loved it! So, we are now the proud owners of a brand new RED 2013 Victory CCT. We'll pick it up hopefully Tuesday at the earliest, weather permitting (as the upcoming forecast is for a week of rainy weather). :sign woo hoo: Pics to follow.
  14. Actually, that continued on into the 60's and I think even the 70's It had to do with the left wheel spinning off from not being tightened properly on those vehicles not using a left thread.
  15. oooooooooooooooooooooooooo ...
  16. I'm debt free now dang it feels good! ok, that just made my mind up for me .... and I don't need no excuse now .. Thanks y'all ... I'll log some of these ideas away for another time
  17. Maybe he doesn't but I do so fire away (coz I figure if anyone can answer that, you can)
  18. That would get me in big trouble ... women ... they'll turn that one around and slap ya with it LOL "more beautiful? ... so you don't think I'm beautiful enough? wwaaaaaaaaa... you don't love me like I am ... wwaaaaaa"
  19. Speaking about portable propane tanks ... Not exactly true ... if the connection is on the inside thread of the tank valve, yes but other fittings that go onto the outside thread are right threaded. What the reasoning there is, I don't know.
  20. Victory CCT
  21. NOOOOOOOOO ... I'm lookin at a Victory CCT
  22. Well Jeff, that does give me an idea...
  23. Well, since my wife is bigger than me in that department......
  24. I was thinking WHITE actually
  25. yup... we "guys" do do some dumb things, don't we? Years ago I was doing a bit of body work on an old truck. Patching a rusted out hole. I had the bondo and I had one of those rubber sanding blocks, the kind you hook the sandpaper into each end... but I didn't have a bondo spreader so ... I decided to cut the rubber lip off the sanding block... with a utility knife! I'm sure you can figure what happened next ..... yup, the knife slipped and went full blade deep into the side of my leg. Yup, like a real dummy ... I was holding the rubber block against my leg and cutting TOWARDS myself! (now you know why it says "not your average dummy" below ) Hope you're gonna be ok and don't get an infuction ...
