  1. He musta been a juvenile when he whacked the guy Around here there's a guy waiting for sentencing. He's now 20 but committed murder when he was 17. If sentenced as a juvenile, he'll likely get 4 years plus 3 years of community supervision minus time off for time served (which is now 3 years). If sentenced as an adult he could get as much as 25 years. The penal system sucks IMO!
  2. Came up beside a guy on a 1st gen the other day. Quick chat revealed he's running a V-max motor and pumpkin. Couple stop lights later we decide to have a little fun so light turns green and off we go.... By the time we get to the next light (much further than a city block.. maybe more like 3 or 4 away) he's STILL a dot in my mirrors ....
  3. heck, I forgot I posted that LOL
  4. I got mine al Lordco Auto Parts here in Western Canada.
  5. Dunno know about you but the ones on the bike are a whole lot better for me than those above my hips (grab handles) LOL
  6. So, one you loved, the other you hated coz it broke down so much ... so you take the worst case (out of two) to direct the rest of your decisions. Not a bad idea ... I shoulda used that philosophy when my first marriage crashed
  7. What would be really hilarious is if Don hooked up a flatbed trailer to his RSV and towed the RG ....
  8. not at all ... we're just havvin fun coz bashin Harleys is like tellin blond jokes ... no harm intended.
  9. I haven't yet read beyond this post as I was doing my own research in my owner's manual. The Victory manual states to use 91 PON for best performance.
  10. Just wondering if the Harleys have CATs in the header pipes like the Vics do? Wondering also if the true duals do not have CATs in them? Was a lot of heat from that so I removed the CATs and it's quite a lot cooler. Wife doesn't feel any where near the amount of heat as with the CATs in but I can still feel the engine heat but it's not so hot that it's a problem and it's only felt in hotter temps while sitting in traffic.
  11. Don. with regards to the recommended 91 octane... it's the same for the Vic however, a lot of Vic owners are running with 89 and some even with 87. "they" say as long as it's not pinging, no problem. I've tried all 3 in mine and never got any pinging but have settled on using the 89 octane.
  12. nahhhhhhh... they've discovered "bar hopping"
  13. Victory Cross
  14. RE: Dutch ... we have all kinds of "foreign speaking" folk in this country and Dutch are quite common. That said, it's not so common to see Dutch / English business websites. We get quite a lot of compliments on the bike and often from folks who aren't riders. No, it's not been mistaken for a Harley... yet LOL but every Harley rider we come across are very complimentary and generally quite interested ... even had a couple of the "Angels" come over one day and ask questions and compliment. Most of those who are "not in the know" about bikes don't know about Victory tho and sometimes when I say they are made by Polaris, they relate that to snow machines and think it's Canadian ... (mistaken for Bombardier). We just returned home from another great "day ride" ... now just a tad under the 6000 km mark!! Economy is currently at 18.3 km/l or 51.7 mpg Imperial / 43 mpg US riding 2 up and varied speeds but generally around 115-125 km/h on the freeway and 90-115 on the secondary roads.
  15. Congrats Don ... a very popular choice. Are we still allowed to bash Harleys? of course. Were I able to afford one, I'd have one but those maintenance costs were just too far out of my reach
  16. uh-ohhhh... if it's one of "those" I can see a new rule coming to go along with no politics, no religion ....
  17. Well, I'm at 5500+ km's now and the bike is feeling nicely broken in. It's smoothed out quite a lot since brand new. Tranny shifting has quieted down although it still clunks going into 1st... no biggie. It does produce quite a bit of heat and mostly just below the passenger's footboards. The cure for that is to remove the Catalytic converters (which I did) and that makes quite a difference. I've also added a Lloydz hi-flow air filter. Now that it's nicely broken in, I've been able to wind it up a few times and let me tell you.... these bikes are QUICK! Big test is coming in a couple weeks when we hook up the tent trailer and head off for holidays. Here's where we're going to park our butts for a week of R&R http://www.loonbayresort.com/ btw, did I mention I really, really love this Vic?
  18. Nobody mentioned Triumph ... could it be one of those? They have some pretty nice product these days.
  19. It's either a Harley (coz you've had them) or a Victory .... I bet it's a Vic CCT So what color did you go with Don (mine's the fastest color yanno)
  20. actually, it's Bring Cash
  21. hey Gordie ... glad you're not seriously hurt ... would be even gladder if you weren't hurt at all. Since you're heading out on the scoot tomorrow, those you meet along the way and see your bruised scoot will surely tire you out from telling them about your mishap. Ride safe my friend!
  22. funny ... you're from Sask and coming to BC ... I'm from BC and going to Sask but at least I'm returning to BC
