1. heh ... we're almost at a stage where we need a bigger house ... what, me with all my "toys" and her with all her kitchen gadgets LOL! The same day I got the Logitech steering wheel, she came home with an electric rice maker (that's funny in a way coz she makes perfect rice in a pot on the stove). fwiw tho, the PS3 was a Christmas present from her to me 2 years ago. I never quite understood why she did that coz we already had an xBox 360 that we got free. I do like the PS3 a lot better tho. All that said and now that I think of it, she has mentioned a few times how much she likes the PT Cruiser...
2. PS3 (which I already had) 37" LG Flat screen TV (got a 55" for TV viewing) Logitech G27 steering wheel/pedals F1-2013 formula 1 racing game ruhhhh ruhhhhhhh ruhhhhhhhhhh

4. The one's I got are made for a Road Star ... the ones I put on the fairing are actually designed for the lower part of the gas tank of the Roadie. There is a couple kits for the Vic XCT but I didn't care for them. Some of the Harley ones would have looked good also.
5. heh, I think I voided that a long time ago! High-flow air filter, adjustable timing wheel, 02's disconnected, fuel controller, Thrush Glasspack mufflers, CAT's removed.... geeesh ... it's sounding more like a H... Ha ... Harl .... cough (I can't say it!)
6. heh... I only wish I could do that! vinyl graphics.... http://www.autotrimdesign.net/
7. Just had to do some "pimpin" to my XCT
8. Watch in HD if you can
9. ya ... but it wasn't a "generic" kinda convo
10. why would you want the GAWR? Wouldn't you be more concerned about the GVWR? I don't think GAWR really comes into play until one is looking at medium to heavy trucks ... but, I'm just ASSuming...
11. Been here since '06, was on two Wing sites when I had a Wing, now on two Victory sites ... one of the Wing sites was the worst as there were a number of guys there who would not hesitate to stir the pot or cause trouble ... as if they had nothing better to do. That one site even has a special forum just for bashers to bash each other LOL Good here and both Vic sites are pretty decent, one being better than the other. One thing that is quite different between this site and the Vic sites is most of y'all here are old geezers like me!
12. I built a bracket that's attached to the GPS mount. Sat antenna is glued to the top of the bracket. Wire runs inside the fairing and over to the other side where the radio is. Had the same setup on my Wing. On the venture, you can see where I mounted it in the pic.
13. I've recently heard thru a local warranty rep who happens to be a friend of a friend that he heard talk of an all-new, completely re-designed Yamaha touring model which will be released for the 2015 model year. Word is that the engine will be a de-tuned version of the current V-max yet it will still look similar to the current Venture engine (simulated air cooled fins). This all new version will come with a total re-design of the body work and will be a close "look-a-like" to the current Victory Vision; however, it will have considerably more cargo space than the Vision. The electronics will be similar to what is now on the 2014 Harley Ultra (speech recognition, etc). There's more but I've forgotten the details.
14. ya... I did that too and almost didn't open it .....
15. That just goes to prove that everyone wants to "ride" a Harley
16. It's been posted a zillion times before ...
17. LOVE it! I'm IN fwiw, bastard-r-us.com is available (bastard.com not) http://bastard-r-us.blogspot.ca/
18. Three things kinda "jumped out" at me. Very, very rare - only two others in the US Parts are readily available. Best offer hmmmmmmmmm....... ?????
19. ... unleash all of my my pent up anger for idiots on some poor, unsuspecting jerk if I ever catch up with one. Nina & I were out for a ride yesterday ... beautiful sunny, warm fall day. Two lane road, approaching a hill that opens to a 3 lane, passing lane going up, single lane down. Traffic in front, traffic coming towards and a guy on a small, what appeared to be dual-purpose type bike riding my ass. Get to where the passing lane starts which is a left sweep and then turns to a long right hand sweep and I crank it in the passing lane to get past the "Sunday drivers". Start into the right hand sweep and we're movin pretty good, in the lean, passing the cagers and I check my right mirror for the guy on the bike (he was still on my ass just prior to that) ... don't see him in the mirror. At that very second I hear him on my left.... he's passing me on my left, in my lane, as we're going around this right hand sweep, passing the cages in the right lane ............ with traffic coming down the hill !!! I had to do a real quick steering correction to prevent colliding with him and to allow him enough room to avoid a head-on with the oncoming traffic as by this time he's right on the center line .... geeesh! (it always amazes me how experienced "instinctual reaction" takes over) Gets by me ... swerves around the cage in front of us, goes between it and another car and he's ahead of everyone and gone. This all happened in a matter of a few seconds. I tell ya, if I had caught up with that IDIOT somewhere down the road, he would be wishing he never got on a motorcycle that day! Then, later on, in a small community, approaching an intersection where we had to turn right, a woman cuts across in front of us from a parking lot on the opposite side of the street ... never even saw us ... it was obvious her sole intent was to get across the street before the big truck coming towards us. Nope, she couldn't wait for that truck to pass .... just had to hit the gas and go .... didn't even look to the right. FRIKKEN A-HOLES !!
20. Loaded Linux Mint 15 Mate 32bit ... everything works! mouse, keyboard, both printers (which I had trouble getting to work in SuSe) , the scanner .... plays the MOV files... awesome! :dancefool:
21. Well, don't know what changed but here I am in a Ubuntu 12. live cd session and keyboard and mouse are working although I've booted into this CD several times without either working. Not a fan of the Ubuntu desktop in this version tho.
22. Now, I've been in this computer biz since 1987 and I've encountered a lot of weird chit but this is a new one on me... I can boot the computer and get into the BIOS ... keyboard works fine. I can exit that and get the system boot device selection screen ... keyboard works in that. I can boot into GRUB boot loader ... keyboard works in that. I boot into SuSe and ... no keyboard, no mouse. I can boot into a Ubuntu live boot CD ... same thing, no keyboard, no mouse. But here I am in Windows, no problem at all! Any ideas?
23. Can't say about the POST ... just that once SuSe was loaded, I had no input devices. busting out the hammer is pretty much what I'll be doing. Can't be bothered trying to diagnose/repair. Much easier to just re-install; however, this time it will be something other than SuSe ... because you're right ... seems beyond 11 it wasn't all that great (as I have read). Thought the latest distro would have rectified things. That said, it also could have been my fault for installing non-SuSe verified software yet all the info I read seemed to indicate things would work fine. What it was ... the SuSe's installed video app (K something or another) wouldn't play my .MOV files so I found something that would (forgot what it's called now). oh well ... guess that's why I am a computer geek of sorts.
24. Well, I was all "gung-ho" on OpenSuSe 12.3 and it took me some fiddling to get various things working BUT .... When I fired it up tonight, something was wrong. No keyboard. No mouse. No printer. No ability to do anything. Seems maybe the last "update" or maybe I should say "software install" totally screwed things up. It was all working fine when I shut her down last night. back to the drawing board.... Don't nobody fool themselves .... Linux distro's just ain't what they used to be and are quite prone to failure. If you get a good one, don't change it. I believe the "developers" of the various flavors are all out there to better each other and in doing so, are releasing "buggy" versions .... hmmmmmmm... isn't that what Mr. Gates does?
25. I get a rush of air whenever I turn on the key also .... well, a few minutes later as I'm blastin down the highway
