Just a heads up for anyone who might be interested in buying saddlebag liners. I ordered and paid for full set from TLC Products in June..They have gone bust..no reply to emails ..phone disconnected....paypal cant contact them...Im out $90...DO NOT BUY

forgot to say bike started right up cold...ran for a timewhile i put helmet on then quit...did not hear fuel pump start for a few tries then heard what sounded like a relay click then fuel pump sound....is there a relay for fuel pump or is this a symptom of something worse? ignition sitch wiring problem...started today no problem morning and night with a cuople stops in between..ideas??

Weird problem today.key on no fuel pump noise. All lights radio electrical worked. Turned key off on couple times nothing.turned off ,waited then key on, click of a relay,fuel pump heard then bike started.. any ideas Fuel pump bailing?..relay need replacing?.... 2008rsv with 8000mi Thanks les

I retired Dec 2006 after 35 years as a letter carrier..best thing I ever did...got a part time job delivering Motorcycles for a Yamaha/Suzuki dealer ..3 days a week ..keeps me in cheap parts LOL..enjoy your time ..you have deserved it...

This was the first add-on I bought when i got my RSV 1 month ago..so far its great ..the occasional hang up .....How is the wiring for the relay coming as the idea of having on a switched circuit is good.....As for the software re stripping id3 tags ..what is it ?

I echo midnights statement...copy first songs without creating a folder (this called root directory) then create CD2 etc then load songs.....first you should format your sd card or memory stick..hope this helps....best 145 $$$Ive spent

any time I have had stuff from US via UPS there is a chance of customs fees about $25 ++..USPS at the post office at pick up time maybe a customs fee of $5 plus HST (tax) at value of item of 13%....I just had HD mufflers shipped via USPS and it came no problem and no taxes/duties.....you know how govt works

Still a newbie.....stupid question...the cassette door is stuck closed...not a bad thing as posted here but would like to access the aux jack...any easy fixes ..have tried wd40 spray...pushed the stupid thing every way...can this be accessed behind fairing to trip door loose thanks les

I bought one of these..first thing I did to my 08....easy install just follow directions re setup of folders..only downside is 99 songs per folder 6 folder as it fools the head unit into thinking its a cd player..I tried extra songs on usb stick but unit would not recognize past 99......also no idea of whats playing (not a bad thing)..if you need more songs get a few more usb's or sd cards.....mine has the power off switch..think is was $145 shippedto canada...fast shipping....my Vstar 1100 had batwing with sony stereo so was accustomed to random..repeat ..scrolling but sound is good so I would recommend this ...no need for an ipod

Thanks for info..is mobil 1 the Vtwin spec ?...shell rotella T is a full synth?....how many miles should I put on Dino oil before switching to synth? I should stick with recomended change intervals ? oil filter .. I have been using K&N 303 in the Vstar (had a relocation kit) and have used this on the first change after I bought bike..is this filter as good as I think? sorry for asking many questions but after 7 years with the vstar knew just about all about it...so the RSV is a new learning curve

I have just bought an 08 with 2000 miles.....have been reading threads about synthetics....still confused...what viscosity should be used? i live in Ontario Can which has temps all over the map last week 70 deg this week 40's.....yamah sells semi synth.and afull synth.....have always used yamalube 20w40/50 in 04 vstar for 76000 kms no problems .....so with this its a decision after this has been broken in...I have a friend with 92 goldwing he uses shell diesel oil from wallyworld.... any thoughts please

I have just bought an 08 RSV looking for ideas..what is the wiring diagram/codes for the factory wiring to this amp and from amp to speakers....I had a V star for 7 years and now looking to new RSV once snow goes thanks for any help
