I use Harley Davidson route planner..its free...you create points as locations then convert them to waypoints..then import to garmin 765 .you need garmin communicator...import to my data. Then go to custom routes and go..worked for last weeks 2500 mi trip to Kentucky with all back roads without GPS changing route

Venture LED Fork Lights/Reflectors
Atoolnut replied to Karfreek's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I always thought as long as original bulbs are still there for run/turn then any led would not need a resistor.when I used similar ones in place of reflectors I wired the led on rear directly to running light and fronts to turn light.fronts are lit all the time but when signals flash they go off ,giving an alternating flash pattern..so far no feed back to dash indicator or fast flash rate -
Got one of these ..has all accessories that gopro are extra....1080 p HD.... http://www.ebay.ca/itm/SWANN-Freestyle-1080P-HD-Sports-Video-Camera-w-LCD-Viewer-SWVID-SPORTL-GL-New-/130855550114?pt=Camcorders_Professional_Video_Cameras&hash=item1e77993ca2&_uhb=1

Get an old set of RSV mufflers..cut the tack welds off the cone at front of muffler...reweld them on HD mufflers..did mine and they now look factory .
-
Did mine ..1 for HID...2 for passing lamps...3 for led running lights on crash bars,
-
I had to do the same..I used a forstner bit the same size to carve out the foam.it wasn't as fast as a dremel but I could see how much to take out without going too deep
-
Also went today..was there Friday setting up booth...had bad vibes ...but we sold 23 bikes by Sunday afternoon..no real deals on accessories but bought a choko saddlebag organizer for both bags for $20... Better deal than $7 beer but $4.50 for a slice...cmon..
-
Saw this movie ...had the theater to ourselves...100 tickets sold to our riding group and friends ..great movie .great way to spend a wintery sat afternoon
-
Put mine in trunk on right side mounted with Velcro...as for power issue .yes it does draw but if left overnight no problem..micro switch on cable is not hard to shut off..you go in trunk to put gloves etc away..just shut it off..you have to format storage media as instructions ..no shuffle availability..what I did was arrange mp3 by song title ..good shuffle....SD card and usb
-
Your welcome..I would like hear how good they are..mine is a Bosch type..cibie and hella in the old days along with marchal were the lights to put on your car as fog and rally lights

http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=498 http://home.comcast.net/~tankerhank/site/?/page/Headlight_Mod/&PHPSESSID=ff3b12ec3e6319a9b00c9ef79b91f385 With these very helpful links I decided to attempt my mod but a little different...I had an old Vstar 1100 headlight assembly that I thought might work .this would give replacement headlight easier access than the above posts which still had you glue in replacement lens..This with 3 screws is replaceable. This still keeps all stock adjusments available http://www.boats.net/parts/search/Yamaha/Motorcycle/2003/V%20STAR%201100%20CLASSIC%20-%20XVS1100AR/HEADLIGHT/parts.html part 1..4NK-84394-00-00 RING,MOUNTING I also had a extra RSV assembly to play with..using above posts instructions it went good, then I trimmed remaining ring to fit inside Vstar ring. I had cut mount tabs off but had to cut RSV ring to fit inside Vstar...Mig welded it together..silicone glue around to seal weather and now to replace broken lightbulb or lens its a matter of remove fairing , undo 3 screws assembly comes out to replace parts..No more $$$ for complete RSV light..I can use any 7" light ..ie trucklite led, adzure ice etc..$40 for ring plus rsv light is cheap mod ..This also will let you use e code headlight ...http://www.headlightservices.com/Headlamps.html

Got bike up on new table lift and rear wheel off the deck...spun rear and there seems to be drag...brake caliper has been taken off...how free should rear wheel be? How many turns should be reasonable ..torque on nut is correct

#2.. Mine had roll pins on the ram scissor rollers #3.. Will check and lube .. Danaman..sides were cat walk platforms ..9"x96"....there were holes in sides of lift for factory sides..l just marked holes in catwalk sides and drilled with a bimetal hole saw 13/8" and cut 11/4" O.D. pipe 4 ft long .drilled lynch pin holes and then cut 11/2" drain pipe to make up width difference... The reason for sides is though you can wheel bike up the safety aspect of having wider platform was important..I ran it up and also rode it up ..the lift sits 7" above floor...sides were better both ways the side stand now lands on side.. I won't need them if I recess lift in floor
