Great pics Margaret. It's great you put words to the pics. I never think to do it. Thank you two for putting this together for everyone. GREAT place, GREAT food.

Great pics Bobbie, but did you have to include the ones of the "White" 2nd Gen broke down on the side of the highway? The mystique is gone now. It was great seeing everybody again.

Video is still there. I just went to the link.

NASCAR has been running Nitrogen in their tires at least since the mid 90's. That's why they can get away with adding 1/4lb of pressure. Nitrogen is predictable because it doesn't have humidity in it that compressed air does. So when they put a certain amount in the tire they know what it will expand to. Nitrogen does expand as does compressed air, it's just more predictable. If you watch the beginning of a tire run in NASCAR they always talk about how the cars are hard to handle until the pressures come up in the tires. Changing the tire pressure is just like changing the spring rate of the car. I'm sure the other racing series use Nitrogen also. D'em rednecks couldn't have figgured that out on their own.

Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Heated Clothing Instructions
SaltyDawg replied to Venturing Sole's topic in Riding Gear
Nice writeup. Just wondering how much if any air gets to your body? I know the liners are not really meant for real cold weather riding. Also you can pull the fuse for the carb heaters and get that wattage back. I have never had any problems with my fuse pulled and I have ridden in 14 degree weather. It's an easy way to get 60W back. Looks like something I might be interested in doing. I too hate pulling those wires through the jacket every time I use my gloves, which is a lot this winter. Then having to get the wires out of the sleeve and still keep the gauntlet tight is a real pain. It is an option worth looking into. I have a dual heat-troller that runs my socks and gloves I imagine I could use this setup and have the gloves separate while controlling the socks and jacket with your current circuit design. Just a slight mod to isolate the gloves completely. So how do you keep your palms warm? Heated grips? That's my biggest problem the gloves are great for the back of the hand and fingers but useless in keeping the palms warm. Again great writeup. -
Well Brandy went and really surprised me this year. I had no idea, but she got me a GoPro Motorsports Hero Wide angle camera for the bike. Man is it cool, it has helmet mounts as well as a suction cup mount rated at 150Mph. No Muffinman I'm not going to let you test the mount. Uses 2 AAA batteries and a 2G SD card. It will record 56 minutes of video on one 2G SD card. Not bad video either. Oh yeah it's shock proof and sits in a waterproof case. We had a really great Christmas.

Question on passing lamps
SaltyDawg replied to stvmaier's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Exactly right. I have been riding at night and had them blow the fuse. Lost ALL lights. I immediately isolated them. Mine were wired the way Yamaha calls for, not anymore. -
The only thing BuddyRichs cable does is allow the J&M Mic in your helmet to interface with the Zumo so you can use your bluetooth enabled phone with the Zumo 550. Other than that, there is nothing else changed.

Krome Rose has the Daytona version of this helmet and really likes it. She has no problems with distortion.

Straight No Chaser. Heard them on the radio and had to find them on the net. http://video.aol.com/video-detail/straight-no-chaser-performs-12-days-of-christmas/1702788905/?icid=VIDLRVENT01

I was thinking EWOK!! Great minds think alike.

Mrs Clause bought one for me, it came with all the mounts. Can't wait to get out tomorrow and try it out. I have it mounted to my new helmet that Mrs Clause happened to bring by too. It also came with a suction mount for windows or any other flat surface. Try RAM mounts they usually have everything you could want for mounting stuff on bikes.

Thanks for the input, yours too Beer. I'm going to give it a try, 95% of my riding is in the 60MPH or less range. Mostly 45mph average. I am stuck in traffic a lot trying to get on and off base and would like to see how the handling changes for the slow riding. The good thing is that my front tire still has a lot of tread on it so if I don't like how it feels I can change back easy enough. Thanks again. Wayne

Hey I am getting ready to order a new rear tire for my RSV. I run the Commanders and just saw that they are now offering the 130/90 16 front tire. From what I can find in the forums this seems to be that narrower tire that everyone raves about. Am I correct in this assumption? Thanks in advance. Wayne

Very nice recurve. It's been a long time since I shot one. I prefer them over compound bows any day. What's the draw?
