Yep that was us, I thought that was you.

Depends on what you are willing to pay. There are packages that start at $3.99 a month and go all the way up to $99.00 a month if you get the XM audio subscription. I know the high end one does have radar but you can get that on the phone much cheaper. The basic on give you current time/temp/condition plus a 5 day forecast for your location or any city within the US. At least that is what I have read.

I don't know Gene, I was concerned when we discussed it on the phone, and after seeing the pictures I'm still concerned about the weight of that bike under a hard braking situation. In my opinion it isn't worth taking the chance on damaging both the bike and the Beer Cart on the chance that it might go over, even if it's a slim chance. I mean heck you have that trailer that you can put the BC on top of. I thought that was pretty cool. I know it's a nice trailer at a good price but is it really worth it? BTW I got the bluetooth working again. I had to update the bluetooth firmware on the Zumo. Thanks for the help.

I hope so too. Either that or maybe someone was taken down by one-o-dem dogs recently.

I'll let you know what they are like. One of those refurbished ones should be getting delivered today. They are quick on the shipping. I ordered it on Wednesday and it shipped from CA that day.

As Beer30 said some stations do have commercials. About 95% of the "music" stations are commercial free, but some have guest DJ's at times. The comedy channels, sports, and other talk stations will have commercials from time to time but it is still less than 25% or less of what an over the air radio station will and you don't get the DJ who love to hear themselves talk.

IMO it was a training evolution, but it's just my opinion. The smoke seemed to be more than normal for a hand gun. Maybe shooting blanks. I agree I don't think it's handler would have put the dog in the position of getting shot.

You can buy suction mounts for the GXM-30 that you can move between the bike and car, you already have the car mount for the Zumo. That is what I intend to do. I also use an aftermarket fm transmitter/modulator and listen to it through the radio. I have an older car and it does not have an audio in that most of the newer radios have. If that is the case then use the line out on the Zumo car mount. Beer30's GXM-30 will receive inside of his garage so I'm confident it will receive on a windshield mount. (saw some on ebay)

I currently have a Sirus radio on my RSV. Can't stand it though, the only way to listen to it is via the FM transmitter in it and that SUCKS. I would say that about 70% of the time I either get no signal from the sat, or the radio interference is so bad that I can hardly hear it. Really crummy equipment in my opinion. I had an XM Roady 2 on my bike and never had a problem with it until the power connection internally broke. For some reason I can't use an audio splitter with the Zumo and Sirius the Zumo loads the line down and I can barely hear the Sirius radio. I heard that Sirius had the better programing and that XM had better equipment, well IMO the latter is the only true part of that statement. Although I liked what Sirius had to offer I don't honestly think it's much if any better than XM. Since the programing is essentially the same and the only real reason I went to Sirius was for the NASCAR channel and I can now get that on XM, I'm gonna turn tail and run back home. I have ordered a GXM-30 and it's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I can't wait. I will cancel the Sirius in a heartbeat as soon as I get that GXM-30 in. You can get them on Ebay for $150.00 delivered new or refurbished for $100.00 delivered. Way better than the $200.00 plus that they were a year ago.

That is really cool. You have to look at it like you did for those 3d pictures they came out with in the 90's. Lucky for me those were easy for me to see, so I was able to get the 3d effect on your pictures in seconds. Great job. I really liked the last one.

Other than changing the pages to jpegs I don't see any way of doing it. The Zumo isn't designed as a document reader as far as I know. It is a thought though. I might just look into it. That way you could load just the pages you needed. You could just sing the names and numbers record it and load it as an MP3:rotfl:

Smaller Front tire Observations.
SaltyDawg replied to SaltyDawg's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
To be honest I don't know if I have the leveling links on or not since I bought it from the second owner. It sits higher than most RSV's I have been around, but I also have the works performance shock on it, so that may account for that. It was down right windy this morning coming to work and it handled pretty much like it has before the change. Now tonight on the way home I will be in gale force crosswinds for about 35 of the 50 mile trip and that will keep me busy even without the tire size change. I was able to get a better feel for wet road handling this morning and I had no problems with skidding out, so I am pretty confident that it was in fact the oil seeping up from the road that caused my problems yesterday. All in all I do like the change. Hopefully the tire will last as long as the bigger one. -

It won't be long for me to find that out. I usually get pretty good crosswinds several times a month. Not to mention the ones while I'm on the motorcycle.:rotfl: -
Smaller Front tire Observations.
SaltyDawg replied to SaltyDawg's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Nope it was 60 degrees this morning, it was more than likely the oil didn't have time to wash off the road. -
For some time now I have been reading about members going to the smaller front tire and getting better handling at parking lot speeds. I never went to the smaller tire because I run the Michelin Commanders and they didn't make that size tire. Well now they do and I purchased one to give it a try. I have 400 miles on it and here are my observations. Slow speed handling. I personally noticed no difference at all. Then again I never had a problem with slow speed handling. Highway speed handling. Here is where I noticed a BIG difference. The bike feels like it's 200lbs lighter in the corners, she really feels good and will track true through the corner. So far I have not noticed any problems with it following the tracks in the road. The bike is real responsive and easy to go from side to side. Wet driving. Here is where I haven't felt too comfortable. I have never slid out on wet roads with Commanders before, but I did several times this morning under braking. I didn't have any problems in corners, but I was not pushing it either. Now I am not sure just how much it had rained prior to my riding but it was a very light drizzle at the time so it's quite possible that the oil was still seeping up from the road. Jury is still out on that one. Riding 2 up felt very good and handled like a dream. Overall I am satisfied, just want to get some more time on the wet roads, which I should get on the way home tonight and tomorrow.

It really was a pretty neat place. There was a saloon adjacent to the restaurant that had a stage. I walked through there, it was really nice with a loft. I'm sure you could order your food and drink and enjoy the show. From what I gather they do shows there, but I think it's a seasonal thing. It's seemed to be a safe place to let the kids run amok and allow the parents to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Brandy and I were talking it over last night and we want to go back again sometime this Spring. It's not that far for us, only an hour and a half away. Probably post it and see if we can get some other folks to come along. I got to hand it to the Muffins, they picked a really great place to Meet and Eat at, and Oh By The Way, the EATS were fantastic. Darn good ribs, even RiderDuke said they were good. Beings that I have never had RiderDukes ribs (hint hint ) I can't say how they compare, but I would have to say they were in the top 2 or 3 I have ever had.

I think it had to do with eating up resources on the server that could be better used elsewhere. -

While keeping myself busy trying not to fret over my beloved Fins getting whipped I did some research on Deadwood and came across this really old video taken who knows when. I though I would share it with everyone. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd3rGsem-2E]YouTube - Return to Deadwood[/ame]
