Wrongway I totally agree. In MO all we can get is ethanol mix. When I get into a state without it, I immediately notice a 2-4 MPG bump. I do have one question to all you way smart people, my pipes seem to be tan. What is that telling me?

I'd be careful on that...I ruined the chrome on a Suzuki doing that.

I can help ya. I have a CarbTune and the needed long screwdriver. It literally takes 10 mins. I don't have a separate tach as I have a KOSO tach on Sherry B, but we can set the idle by ear. What are your days off? -

Yes, it’s a great ride! Enjoy immersing yourselves in the Venture tradition and this is a great place to get ideas. We went out there last year...3 weeks to the ROCKY MTS.!!!!! I too am pumped!

Unless your on a rice rocket, around here 55-60 is fast on our back roads - sometimes fast is 45. Much of the time that's where I am. On superslab or improved two lane - with the traffic - which is 75-80, but what fun is that???

Sounds similar to what happened to mine. If it does it again, take off the left side cover and lightly tap the fuel pump. If it starts pumping up, its the pump.

Mine appears that way as well. I really never noticed it until I put on the hitch. I've asked other riders to watch from behind and they tell me the bike looks to ride straight. I assume its the nature of the beast, unless someone on here as had a different experience!

Hey guys, Sorry I'm not gonna be able to get down there this year, especially since its so close:bang head:, but I've got AT&T and its spotty in that area. Very good near the towns, but spotty in the valleys like near dogpatch. Data, which for whatever reason doesn't take as much signal, works fine. But phone, at least AT&T, is spotty! FWIW

My 2 cents. If your coming in on 54, go south on 19 to 100 (better than 94 west of Hermann). Take 50 west to route M. Take Route M through Taos (and right by my house) to Wardsville. Straight through the intersection will put you on Route B, go to Route E. E will take you back to 54 ( Be careful at one stop you will have to turn right at a stop sign to stay on E. This will be WELL worth your time. I can send you a detailed map if you wish. It will take you about an extra 2 hours but again is well worth it! Bikes comes by here every day, spring through fall, doing most of this ride. PM me if you want a map and detailed instructions.

+1 I've really used mine alot no problems. I've washed the liner at least a dozen times with no stretching as well.
