  1. We only have 1500 supporting members?
  2. +1 Me Too!
  3. One thing about the carbs...I live in MO, so I think very little about elevation. When some friends and I went to the Rockies this year, my carbed RSV would out put the FI Harleys with ease. So I am no longer sure I really want FI????
  4. I got mine at southwest moto, but the last time I looked Motorcycle Superstore was cheapest when all was figured. Just check around, prices change.
  5. A bunch of us rode over there last year. Had a great time. Enjoy it! The best part was Cherohala and the old TVA dams. The dragon is WAY over rated. We can do better that that in MO.
  6. Very interesting. Are you in this field?
  7. I found that last night and have did some research. Seems its not manmade but "cracked" whatever that is. I usually don't go over 5k miles anyway on oil changes, so its probably ok, just wanting others input.
  8. Well I've been there, but can't remember that bridge. We'll be back down there in two weeks, I'll run that again. Thanks
  9. If its sunny, I'll ride down to about 38-40. Usually after a cold wet spell I'm looking for the first day of dry weather and pavement to get my "fix".
  10. Funny...Sick and twisted, but funny:crackup:
  11. Nice looking couple. May they have many year of health and happiness.
  12. I added a Koso tach/temp gauge on the handlebar. http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/ It is a 2" gauge, and it being both a temp gauge and a tach, I'm going to try to install it in the tape deck opening this winter like the triple gauges everyone is installing, with just a oil pressure gauge as I already have a voltmeter on the bike. I'll try to take a pic this weekend to post for you.
  13. Or they come in pairs, keep a new one in your bag.
  14. With the change in the Stratoliner, don't you think it'll be the next Venture? Wouldn't take much work?
  15. Have any of you all ever seen anything written up on Wally World's synthetic oil. Is it any good??? Its about $5-10 a gal cheaper than Mobil 1. Is doesn't come in a weight for the Ventures, but I use Rotella Blue for that anyway.
  16. PayPal sent. Thanks Don
  17. OK, I thought I'd covered all of Ark with a fine tooth comb. Where'd you find that bridge? I can't make out the highway sign on the video?
  18. STill in for 2
  19. :sign yeah that:
  20. I live too far north already...and I'm in Missouri! Fly south!
  21. My fuel pump went out on my 06. After I took it in to the Yammie dealer they said 4 mmore have came in 06-08s. To find out try taking off the left side cover, the fuel pump is behind it. Lightly tap it with a screwdriver handle. If it starts pumping the pump is going south. It may have completely quit as well. If so, when you turn on the bike the pump should pump up, if not, problems.
  22. My first summer after retirement I plan to leave MO and head west to every national park west of the Mississippi; badlands, rushmore, yellowstone, tetons, going to the sun, banff (OK I know some are in Canada) down to Vancouver, take a ferry over to olympic down 1 & 101 to redwoods, golden gate, Yosemite, zion, grand canyon, big bend, rocky mtn, and others I didn't think of without my preplanned route in front of me. Should take 2 months and about 8,000 miles. I'm ready to leave, but then again, guess I'll wait until I can retire. Besides, its snowing at high altitude now!
  23. Two here. You need the money now, if so I'll paypal to today!
  24. Me Too
  25. I do mine once a year and they are clean even then. I'm sure if you lived in a more arid place they'd be dirtier, but most of us riding on pavement could probably go years. I'm more maintenance happy than that though.
