  1. Thanks for all you do..keep your head down and get back safe.
  2. I can tell you the reason they're called passing lamps. Unless I missed it, no one answered that part. In some states, a motorcycle can have only two headlights. Therefore, to get around that the additional lights are called something else, hence passing lamps.
  3. This is exactly my combo too! Great minds....
  4. Put 200 miles on Sat, but its going to get cold this week. Might be the last for a while, but I too never put it away. Always looks for a few nice hours to ride!
  5. Didn't realize there were any????
  6. Me too...and I'm only 5'9"
  7. YOu can get a cheapy at Wally World.
  8. I think the only rear tire you'll find that will fit is a CT, but I'm sure others will pipe in.
  9. Its almost embarassing to post after Condor and his stable, but 06 with 31,000
  10. 49...for 4 more days!
  11. Yes, there is hope. Praying for your child.
  12. My little girl is 21 today...I miss that age!
  13. Star...Who's Star???
  14. 06 Venture $13K, fuel $2.65/gal, 180 miles and 76 degrees...priceless!
  15. I've never done a static test on mine, but running at 2800 rpm I ususally see 14.1v with the driving lights off. I have changed out my stock lamps for Halogen lamps and with them on I have about 13.5v on the system. Hope that helps.

    Tires

Many feel the handling is better. I like E3s so I use the smaller front tire. Between the smaller size and getting the 404s off the bike feels 200 lb lighter in twisties. All our roads here are twisty!
  17. Me too. My dad had to have part of his jaw removed and a stroke to quit, but he's still with us! Hang in there man, your family would like to keep you around!
  18. I bought the KOSO tach/temp gauge. It's a 1 7/8" gauge, with a digital temp gauge in the face. I'm going to try to install a 1 7/8" oil pressure gauge this winter and place them both in the Cassette slot like the triple gauges. They're a bit bigger, but since I only have two gauges, I think I can make it work.
  19. How about doing a poll to determine the benefactor?
  20. Hey Mr. Moderators, Could those be posted in the tech section? I'd like to do that later this winter, but I've still got more riding to do!
  21. I don't live in TX and can't speak to great routes there, but I totally agree...interstates only if unavoidable. I've ridden thousands of miles over the years on road trips, the more crooked the line on the map, the more likely I am to go that way.
  22. 2006 fuel pump began its death march at about 15,000, no other problems until 18,000. Replaced at 20,000. Mine was the first at my dealership, within three months they'd had 3 more.
  23. Man that stuff is good!
  24. I think I know that fourth guy!
