  1. Thanks Brian but this is for my 2000 venture.
  2. Actually it's not the tab replacement I am concerned with. I have to repair the actual plastic in the outer fairing
  3. Here is a lot picture of the problem if it correctly uploads. Tom
  4. Thanks but is sinking aluminum screen and plastic welding the right way to go?
  5. Will do, thanks
  6. That would be great. I do want to see if sinking aluminum. In the plastic is the best answer.
  7. High Don, As far as I know the lock tight didn't touch the plastic. I put a drop on the threads to keep the bolt from loosening up. I now have to figure out a road fix.
  8. Hi, I'm on the, Ong way to the international and now have a problem ihave to deal with in regards to my front fairing windshield holes cracking. A few were cracked when I left but they seemed ok. I received a clearview windshield just before I left. I needed to retighen a few bolts 2 days ago and iused blue lock tight but the windshield started making noise again today. Whdni check ked I found other middle left inside hole badly spidered. I am on the road in Towanda Pennsylvania so I don't have a workshop to deal with this. As of now my plan is to find some aluminum screen material and a solderinggun, during iron and see if I can melt some sport into. Where the plastic is badly spidered. Does anyone have any better (workable) ideas?

  11. Yes, I look forward to seeing you also but how the heck are you doin?
  12. Yes,you guys are a friendly bunch. We found that out at the international a few years ago. I am not planning on heading to your area before the rally but if I do, I'll let you know. I think I'm going to do the opposite of storm chasers, I'm going to be a clear sky chaser this trip!! Tom
  13. Sounds good, I'll pm you.
  14. Sounds good, I will try.
  15. Yes, lots of space. How are the roads?
  16. Thanks Carl, will do.

  18. Will do
  19. Thanks, I may take you up on that, even to get together for a cup of coffee. Actually, I am planing on tenting. A patch of grass in a back yard can work too.
  20. Thanks, will do.
  21. Hi Brad, I'm heading along the northern states to make time and coming back up to Canada??? just before the maritimes. Still have to look at the maps, campgrounds, BB's etc. I am solo on my way out there. Yes, Cabot Trail, Confederation bridge, Newfoundland etc. Lots of places to ride and see. My Dad's family comes from Cape Briton so it will be nice to see the some spots, maybe find a Kallee (if that's the way to spell it) or 2. Baddeck, Margery Valley (more spelling problems)... lots of places. I think there is a big rally in Nova Scotia at the end of the month. Not sure as I'm by myself but may do that too. Terry meets me in Halifax and we will ride back through Canada to the international. Not sure after that. We'll see which way the wind blows me. Hope to see you at the international but we're going to do southern Ontario also. If anyone can suggest some good roads, campgrounds etc. please let me know. Tom
  22. Yep, lookin' forward to it.
  23. Hi Don, We'll have to do a ride at the international. This is our 1st in a few years!
  24. I'm putting the final touches and should leave in a few days. First destination is Nova Scotia and the maritimes and then the international rally. If anyone is heading the same direction and needs company, let me know. We can meet up somewhere. I am thinking of going along the northern states for the first part. Still have to check out the maps. At least I know which direction to head in! Tom
  25. Wow! Yes, it looks like it made the rest slow down a bit.
