OK.. I just bought 3. The winning ticket and two others just for grins and giggles. It's gotta go to a 1st Gen anyways, since a 2nd Gen doesn't have the speed or power to pull it.. Man...I just can't seem to help myself....such easy targets...

If you make it to Southern Arizona and need anything, just let me know. I have a trailer to fetch the HD's from the side of the road. If you need a place to stay or tools etc...just give a call.. Good luck !

Clock runs too fast

Pretty common problem on the 1st Gens. It's just because they are so fast they have this time warp thing going. On the same note ...the.clocks and the speedos on 2nd Gens are always very very very slow . Sorry...couldn't resist.... -
My knees are original, but I have a titanium right shoulder. My main advice is to follow through with, and work at the rehab therapy.

I went through ground school and got a few hours in a Cessna 150 with my son. One day I was waiting for my son to finish his flying lesson and there was a pretty hairy crosswind. I watched a lot of the small planes land with the left wing angled at what looked like a 45 degree angle towards the runway. Plane after plane landed. Then I saw my son's plane coming in at the same angle. It was a great landing but I held my breath until it was solid on the ground. As my son filled out his flight log, I pulled the instructor aside and asked how freaked out my son was when the instructor landed that way. He looked at me and said .."' I didn't land that plane". My son said the landing didn't scare him any where close to how freaked he was doing the stalls that day.

I always thought Chicago was a place to head in the OTHER direction. -
I view a lot of posts on my smarter than me phone. Answering is a pain since the font is like .03pt and it is hard to see if everything is spelled right. I'll check back on posts to see other answers as the day goes on and usually wait until night to answer on the laptop. ..Unless I'm harassing Big Tom then I'll use the smart phone...can't waste anytime harassing him.. I can tell you that you will get your answers and a lot of sarcasm. But that is OK...since 2nd Genners can't ride as much, we have to keep them entertained...

Working all week in New Mexico...12 hours of beautiful clear day ,watching everybody else ride by on their bikes.. ....even the slower 2nd Gens look fun from my side of the windshield...

I have never heard of it. I finally switched over to Firefox and found out to be much better on average internet use. I have found issues with a lot of proprietary type web sites . Especially my government portals and related needs Explorer How does Maxthon work on either govt or private type sites ?

You can also disconnect the battery and then reconnect it. The light should go off . If you have a problem the light will come back on. I also agree on the free code reading at Oriellys or Autozone

I agee. The key would be to know how much.expansion there would be AND to leave the cap off for expansion. But like I said ...it was just something I had heard about in the past.

Keep working at it... I'm sitting in a vehicle 12 hours a day 7 -8 days straight. My exercise consists of lifting a radio or binoculars up to my head. Wait...does playing Angry Birds count as exercise ???

I have heard, but have no true knowledge if it will work, that if you clean out the tank and fill it with water ( not 100% full) then place it in a freezer, the water will expand as it freezes and push the dent out. Makes sense, but not sure if it really works.

So... latest update. Next weekend after I get home from my current TDY assignment, I will tear my front end apart and get to it. My wife will be gone for the weekend so it can be a 48 hour bike repair weekend. ALSO, looks like I just inherited the maintenance rights and responsibility for an 88 Kawasaki Voyager. I just found out that a friend of mine, who loved my Venture, found a great deal on an 88 Voyager. Since he is not mechanically inclined and while a mutual ( Venture owning) friend helped him unload it from my bike trailer today, he informed him that he is looking forward to me helping him check it out and keep it maintained... :bawling:uugghhh.....

The 2nd Generation one only fly's at a top speed of 150mph... or so I'm told....
