Well, this Mission is completed. Several incredible things occurred during this Mission. First, it was a humbling honor to ride on Brian's behalf. Also, my daughter, who served with Sgt Walker on their first tour also rode her first Mission with me honoring Brian's sacrifice. Signing the Army flag for the family was also an honor. The next thing that was very impressive was the small the small town respect shown during the escort. Almost every vehicle pulled over to the side of the road and stopped. Some even exited the vehicle and stood tall out of respect. We even had a helicopter escort all the way to the church. Ending with a front dip and a low fly by. But, the most humbling show of respect was two PGR Members that stood at attention outside the church holding the KIA flag and the American flag for over an hour in 100 degree temperatures (wearing black boots !) Rest In Peace Brian. We'll take over from here.

Arizona is a place that almost everybody waveso regardless of type of bike. I wave left hand st anything on 2 wheels. There was a time that I could be riding a BMW K1200lt LT, a KLR 650 , one of two TW200 ' s on any given day . Just because they are riding something at that time doesn't mean they don't have something else in the stable

Thanks guys. So I'm siting in the family's living room talking about all the plans Brian and Ashley had it breaks my heart that they were cut short so fast. I will convey all your kind thoughts and prayers when I can do it and keep my composure. I remember my daughter's Green Ramp and the parents of her 3 fallen Heroes that didnt return. That was hard. This is definately harder.

Got the 89 loaded and ready to leave in 6 hours with the family to attend and funeral and PGR Mission for a friend. Sgt Brian Walker, Military Police , Airborne, gave his life on Mother's Day. Brian was a personal friend and was recently married to my daughter's friend Ashley. Brian and my daughter served together in Afghanistan 2009/2010. It is such an honor to be asked by the wife to serve in the PGR Escort. I hope I can at least ride straight with the blurred vision attack I am sure to have. Brian was a great man, husband, soldier and friend. RIP Sgt Walker, we'll take care of Ashley for you, I know you are pulling double guard duty from above.

If you let her meet the "friends " you have here....she won't be "yours" very long. C'mon you should know better ! Most females are introduced to the people here when they want them, to flee ! P.S. God luck on the new gal

Rear Cylinders dead.

Maybe somebody else can clarify, but my understanding is that if you check the plug wires from the cap to the accessory hot lead in the fuse box it should be 23 - 24 Ohms. The caps themselves should be 10 Ohms. -
I have 2 83 parts bikes too. If you need something let me know.

This one mounted to the frame just below the seat in the rear and at the middle to upper front as shown below. It also doesn't look home made. Everything is nicely bent and welded well and fits together. If it is custom made, they did a nice job. It just looks like possible a very early original. It is off of an 83.

I have to ship a 1st Gen MK1 hitch to a member. Anybody know the best way to do this ? wrap it up ? box it ? wire a tag to it and ship it as is ? It is such a weird shape. Just wondering if anybody has done this before ?

Okay... here's my testimonial... I do not have one of Condors... in fact I didn't know I had one and was considering ordering one of his since I know the differnce a good upgraded front fork brace can make. I put one on my KLR650. Anyway.... I went over to my father's today, which is where my 2 parts bikes are living. As I was taking off some parts, I glanced over to the other bike and realized that it had an upgraded brace on it. Removed it and brought it home. 5 minutes later it was on my 89. Just got back from a short ride... WOW..what a difference !!! I can't wait to ride it on some twisties.

Check the bottom of your dishwasher. Make sure that mold hasn't built up in the bottom around the drain inside. Put in a 70/30 water- bleach mixture in the bottom of the dishwasher and let it set. then run it. 2nd thought... has any of your neighbors bought a 2nd Gen perhaps ? Hey....just a thought... Just kidding...

It's a partnership "Probably a lot better chance he was just resting so he could push it the rest of the way home." That's actually pretty funny.....

Obviously he was sitting there in the parking lot waiting for the 2nd Gens to catch up...

Hope this helps: Illustration #3 shows it all Also, you can get a set of 2 BIG needle nose pliers, one has a slight curve for I believe I paid under $10.00 for them. They have been worth it just on the airbox work. But I have used them on other stuff too.

I'll let other talk about the TCI. You might check your plugs as Sea Foam can foul them out. Also, check the fuel filter and when you pull the plugs check your Ohms from the plug cap to to the accessory power screw in the fuse box. Should be 24 Ohms if I remember.
