  1. Got the left turn one too.
  2. Okay...consider yourself slammed. Until I know for sure that there aren't 5 more outside the window, or that the perps aren't going to turn and fire through the windows... they are fair game. so...
  3. Dan, sounds like you got one of those 2nd Gen 'puters. Also you can download Spybot... it is free. Also you can have the warden try going back to an earlier boot savings. It's called system restore. Here is one link on how to do it...need to use one for the version you have: http://www.ehow.com/how_4436099_computer-earlier-date-restore-point.html Good luck
  4. Completed a "happier" mission today. Welcomed back for a Chief Petty Officer from his 2nd tour in Afghanistan. Seeing his wife and son hugging him home, was well worth the time spent on the flag line at the airport. Watching all the other passengers clapping as he walked through the flag line to his family was priceless. I challenge everybody to join their local chapter of the PGR. Yes, some of the Missions are sad. Escorting the body of my friend Sgt Brian Walker was the hardest motorcycle ride I have ever taken. But, the look of appreciation, the handshakes and the thank you's from family members are payment in gold. It's an incredible group of people serving those who have served us. I now ride in honor of two heroes that I knew. So, join. It's free. You don't have to be ex-military, heck you don't have to even ride. Just be willing to stand as a thank you for those who have stood for us. Check it out: http://www.patriotguard.org/Home/tabid/53/Default.aspx The only piece of equipment that is a must have, is a big DARK pair of sunglasses. It helps hide the "allergies."
  5. Ace Hardware sells that can of spray on rubber. Just coat the inside and you should get another 80 to 90 thousand miles out of that one.
  6. So I checked my parts bikes and neither had the inside cable. Sorry. I heard that Golf and Venture was sending you one though. Good luck.
  7. OK... finally got over to get it off the parts bike. Here are the pictures of the right side lens. There are two little "cracks" but it is solid. Below are pictures. Let me know if you want it, it's yours, and I will go get one of those Postal Service boxes to ship it.
  8. Please tell them THANK YOU ! :happy65: And having been through that myself, you can finally sleep and breathe after a LONG year !
  9. I think I have a speedo cable on one of my 84 parts bikes. I hope to go over to the bikes today so i will look.
  10. Both my 84s have th verticle . Posted from the hurry up and wait jury selection room .
  11. Brian.. I will still take one for my 89. I don't want to spend that much on the 87 until I get the freakin carb issues straightened out. Hope the 1 less doesn't hurt the production schedule.
  12. Looks like my blonde 84 has the right side on it. It is stored at my dad's. I will try to go by in a day or so...got jury duty tomorrow, so it might be Wednesday..
  13. I might have a right side one on one of my 84 parts bikes. I will check and let you know.
  14. :sign yeah that::sign yeah that::sign yeah that:
  15. What is the proper procedure for bleeding the clutch ? I use a vacuum pump. Do you create vacuum then pump the lever ? Hold the lever in in while bleeding ?
  16. Sorry for your loss Boomer... been there..understand that...

    plastic fix

I went to a plastic company and bought a 12X12 inch piece of scrap ABS. I then traced and cut out new tabs using wire cutters to cut the ABS and welded them on with a soldering iron. They are easy to clean up with a file and sand paper.
  18. What you are saying makes sense. There is no leakage. The fluid level was the same. It almost seemed that once I removed the top and just slowly pumped the clutch lever, it came back. What do the rest of you guys think ?
  19. I'm in the opposite. Been riding, even this morning...but now the temps are hitting 108/109 and humid..so either real early morning or late at night, but daytime is gonna be on hold for a while.
  20. so...it's been about 2 weeks and this morning my clutch is back to immediately engaging and mushy...so... I am guessing I need a new slave cylinder for my 89. Looking for recommendations on where to get one...
  21. I'll take one
  22. Aahh.. that makes perfectly good sense. One of the benefits of actually seeing the situation at hand versus guessing... good luck. But if you move the fork tubes up, you can throw the front end angle off. Mine are even with the top.
  23. This only occurs on silverish green 2nd Gens...The others have a .376 schneider flange.
